00:03We've got plenty of football to talk about, and we will,
00:05but we have some huge breaking news.
00:08Announced this morning, the WWE is coming to ESPN.
00:13The worldwide leader in sports and the worldwide leader in wrestling
00:16have agreed to a new direct-to-consumer streaming deal
00:19that will bring WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble,
00:23and other big events to ESPN platforms.
00:25The events will be produced by WWE, and the deal is to start in 2026.
00:29And this just in, ESPN is announcing this morning
00:32that the direct-to-consumer product launches August 21st.
00:36We now welcome in one of the legends,
00:38and he is the chief content officer of WWE, Mr. Triple H.

00:44Unbelievable.

00:47Amazing news this morning.
00:49What does it mean for WWE to be partners with ESPN?
00:53It's incredible.
00:53You know, for what we consider the worldwide leader in sports entertainment
00:58to be with the worldwide leader of sports, fan entertainment, ESPN,
01:04there's nothing bigger.
01:05There's no bigger opportunity for us than this right now.
01:08And on top of that, to be in the Disney family, so to speak,
01:12we're thrilled and can't wait to get rolling.
01:14I know we were just watching SummerSlam.
01:16It was in our backyard.
01:17How do you and Nick Khan come together and say,
01:19okay, ESPN would be the perfect place for the premium live events?
01:22I think we've been, Nick and I have been thinking about it for a long time,
01:26of it is the right home for it.
01:28It's something that we've been trying to work through for a long time.
01:32You know, Jimmy Pataro making it happen.
01:34It's thrilling for us.
01:35Can't be more excited.
01:36And I'd ask, what are some of the new things that we can expect
01:39with this new partnership between WWE and ESPN?
01:42Look, from my point of view, nobody does large-scale massive events like ESPN,
01:48Super Bowl, all of it, right?
01:50It's what you do, and it's what we like to think we do better than anybody else
01:54on the planet.
01:55So this is the perfect marriage.
01:56When we get together, things like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble
02:00are going to be bigger than ever.
02:02They're going to be more of a spectacle than they've ever been before.
02:05We're going to light the world on fire.
02:06Light the world on fire.
02:07And you did this past weekend, SummerSlam, WWE's second biggest event.
02:10It was at MetLife.
02:12I watched it.
02:13I'm watching Cody Rhodes.
02:14I'm obviously watching John Cena and then the end, that surprise.
02:18But what were your biggest takeaways from the weekend, just as an event as a whole?
02:22Well, for the first time ever, we come into MetLife Stadium.
02:24We come in anywhere with SummerSlam for the first time ever.
02:28Two nights back-to-back.
02:29113,000 crazy fans descend upon that New York, New Jersey area like only WWE fans can.
02:37We took over a city, and like they say, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.
02:42It was an incredible, massively successful event.
02:46You know, and the time is right for us right now to be making this move.
02:50All of our stars are here, all of them firing on the same cylinder.
02:55And, you know, our future is bright with our developmental system.
02:59Just so many amazing, incredible athletes coming up the pipeline.
03:03It just doesn't get any more exciting.
03:05And it felt like a cultural moment.
03:06You have Russell Wilson, the giant starting quarterback in the front row.
03:09You've got Tyrese Halliburton kind of playing the heel in New York again.
03:12And then you've got, of course, Jelly Roll and Logan Paul, all these different people who are coming from all different corners.
03:17I feel like wrestling right now in the WWE, it's not just, it's taking over in a different way.
03:23Yeah, it's the hottest it's ever been.
03:25You know, Nick and I had a conversation with our employees and our talent and our athletes not that long ago about plans of where we wanted to go.
03:32And, you know, we see the ecosystem, NFL, NBA, and we're right there, and we're coming at them.
03:38And, you know, people just want to be entertained, sports, everything in the world, even the news, it's entertainment now.
03:45And we feel like we do that better than anybody else.
03:47And if Seth Rollins ever wants to come on and talk football, we've seen him do that as well.
03:51Big Bears fan.
03:52One thing Seth Rollins can do is talk.
03:54Yeah.
03:55Put those crutches and he can pull them out of here.
03:57We saw Brock Lesnar return to WWE Sunday night.
04:01What's next for him?
04:02Have you met Brock?
04:02I have not met Brock.
04:03Whatever the hell he wants.
04:04When you're Brock Lesnar, you sort of can, when that music hits and you walk down that aisle, doesn't matter where he is.
04:14He sort of does what he wants to do.
04:16So we're thrilled to have the Beast back.
04:18You know, we hit him up and said, time to come home.
04:21And he was into it.
04:22And here we are.
04:23And a massive, massive moment for our WWE fans, something that they thought they wouldn't get to see.
04:30And I'm making a statement as you're watching right now with John Cena, you know, huge.
04:37And we're thrilled to have him back.
04:38Before the show, I was in the green room with one Bart Scott over here with the bow tie on.
04:43And he's referencing Million Dollar Man.
04:45And he's talking about Jimmy Snuka.
04:48And he's right.
04:48I'm a David Linkle guy.
04:49Okay.
04:50We were all Triple H fans when you were in the ring.
04:53Now, could Bart Scott potentially have a place in the WWE ecosystem?
04:57Absolutely.
04:58With the suit combo, the bow tie, like he's set up for it huge.
05:02He already talked to me about the sledgehammer, maybe going back and forth between the two of us.
05:07So, absolutely.
05:08When you can talk like him, WWE superstar could be in his future.
05:11I would love the opportunity to get Mickey in the pedigree.
05:14You know what I'm saying?
05:14I think we can make it happen.
05:16I'd be the ultimate heel.
05:17The one thing about WWE, anything can happen.
