00:00Why'd you come home?
00:01We got a call from the neighborhood watch.
00:03They were very concerned.
00:05Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:06And today we're counting down our picks for the Times' Disney censored media for TV and on Disney Plus,
00:13for better or for worse.
00:15Some spoilers to come.
00:22What do we do now?
00:25Number 30. Several scenes. Turning red.
00:29At least one country refused to distribute this Disney coming-of-age film featuring actual puberty.
00:36While the filmmakers got away with a fair deal on streaming,
00:39several moments were censored for the movie's Disney Channel debut.
00:43One scene in particular, where Maylin's mother confronts Maylin's crush, Devin,
00:48removed a reference to substance use, replacing it with the more generic things.
00:54How old are you? 30?
00:55I'm 17.
00:57Oh, see? See? This is what happens when you don't wear sunblock and do drugs all day.
01:01Another scene where Maylin and her friends talk about their favorite band's concert
01:05also removed a stripper music reference.
01:08My parents said I could go when I'm 30.
01:10Mine called it stripper music!
01:12Disney may have planned to release the film on Disney Junior,
01:15but it's still much ado over a very wholesome film.
01:18Number 29. Scene Disclaimer. Obi-Wan Kenobi
01:31This change was more the result of unfortunate timing. The Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries made its
01:38Disney Plus debut on May 27, 2022. It opened with the scene of clone troopers opening fire on a class
01:45of Jedi Youths, a continuation of Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith.
01:58As it turned out, just three days earlier, there was a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, the worst in a decade.
02:06Come on, let's go! Go! Go!
02:14In response, Disney Plus quickly placed a content warning on multiple episodes,
02:19explaining the coincidence and warning about it being potentially triggering.
02:24Understandably so.
02:25We run.
02:26We run.
02:26This wouldn't be the only time Gravity Falls got censored. More on that later.
02:49Disney also took further action on one weightier issue in 2017.
02:55Following allegations of sexual misconduct on the part of comedian Louis C.K.,
02:59Disney overdubbed his minor character known as the horrifying sweaty one-armed monstrosity.
03:06Oh no!
03:07Hey.
03:08Hey, you.
03:09Hey, I want to talk to you.
03:10I want to talk to you about going inside my mouth.
03:12Instead, series creator Alex Hirsch stepped in to dub the role in the multi-part episode.
03:18You don't have to make a big deal out of this.
03:21Hello? Hello?
03:23Why are you just ignoring me?
03:26That's seriously rude to just ignore someone like this.
03:30All's well that ends well.
03:31Although in hindsight, this role turned out to be apropos.
03:35Not one person, not one person has gotten in my mouth.
03:38And I don't care anymore.
03:39I just...
03:41I gotta call my mother.
03:43Number 27.
03:45Gay themes and convicted sex offender.
03:48Andy Mack.
03:49It's hard to believe this middle school show could have anything controversial.
03:53But the series did cause a stir when one of its main characters, Cyrus Goodman,
03:58came out as gay.
04:00A historic first for a Disney Channel show.
04:02Cyrus, do you like Andy?
04:09You like Jonah?
04:14The storyline was praised for its handling of the topic, even winning a GLAAD Media Award.
04:20Unfortunately, it was also a cause for censorship, as portrayal of Cyrus' sexuality were toned down.
04:27I want to talk to Andy about what I'm feeling.
04:29I want her to give me advice.
04:30I want her to think it's kind of funny we both have a crush on the same guy.
04:33Moreover, Stoney Westmoreland, who played Andy's grandfather Ham,
04:38was accused of committing sexual offenses and was fired from the show.
04:42His episodes were subsequently banned.
04:45A very mixed legacy indeed.
04:47What's with the luggage?
04:48Oh, we're getting away.
04:50Your father seems to think I'm a menace to society.
04:52Not society.
04:53Just a ten block radius.
04:55Number 26.
04:57Racism.
04:58DuckTales.
04:58An otherwise classic Disney show, DuckTales did encounter trouble with the censors once
05:04it came onto streaming.
05:06Two whole episodes, in short, were banned.
05:08Sphinx for the Memories and Launchpad's Civil War.
05:12In Sphinx, an Egyptian civilization cult kidnaps Donald Duck,
05:17believing him to be a reincarnation of their pharaoh.
05:20Ugh, what's he gotten himself into this time?
05:22A big basket!
05:25What's going on?
05:27In Launchpad's Civil War, Launchpad rallies old Union veterans against Civil War reenactments
05:35by an exploitative billionaire.
05:37Launchpad's use of the Confederate flag no doubt led to its banning.
05:45Mr. McQuack, you don't have to act like General Rhubarb until tomorrow.
05:50While it isn't known why Sphinx isn't available on Disney+,
05:53plus, the most probable reason is cultural insensitivity.
05:57Sphinx for nothing.
06:00Say goat cheese, effendies.
06:04One last photo to remember you, bye.
06:10Number 25.
06:12Racial Slur.
06:13The French Connection.
06:14Even Academy Award-winning films aren't exempt from the censoring eye of the mouse.
06:19In 2023, people discovered that the version of the French Connection on Apple TV
06:24and the Criterion channel had been altered.
06:27All right, Popeye's here.
06:28Get your hands on your heads.
06:30Get off the bar and get on the wall.
06:32One key scene featuring a racial slur was awkwardly and blatantly excised.
06:37Since Disney bought Fox,
06:39it inherited its catalog of distinctly Disney unfriendly films,
06:43including this one,
06:44so they must have been the ones behind this censorship.
06:48He could have been white.
06:49Never trust anyone.
06:50One wonders why they didn't just overdub the word with something else.
06:54Regardless,
06:55the cut received backlash from fans
06:57denouncing the decision on the grounds of corporate overreach,
07:01historical preservation,
07:03and simply missing the point the film was making about racism in the police force.
07:07Pick it up!
07:08Come on, move!
07:09What are you looking at?
07:10All right, bring it here.
07:13Get your hands out of your pockets.
07:15What's my name?
07:16Doyle.
07:17What?
07:18Mr. Doyle.
07:19Come here.
07:20You pick your feet.
07:22Do you?
07:22Get over that.
07:23Get your hands on your head.
07:24Number 24.
07:26Banned episode.
07:27Schoolhouse Rock.
07:29What did this beloved edutainment musical skit show ever do to Disney?
07:33One episode was banned entirely from the platform,
07:36Presidential Minute,
07:37The Campaign Trail,
07:39with a song about Election Day,
07:41campaigning for president,
07:42and the electoral process in general.
07:44Hey, Blinken, Grant, and FDR,
07:46they all got here this way.
07:48Be sure your mom and dad get out to vote Election Day.
07:52It's hard to know exactly why this straightforward song about the voting process got the axe.
07:57Perhaps it was the mention of controversial issues that was the problem.
08:00Republicans and Democrats hold national conventions.
08:04They build their party platforms to broadcast their intentions.
08:08As it happens, the show's seventh season,
08:11focusing on climate change and energy conservation issues,
08:14is missing from Disney Plus as well.
08:17We need not wonder why with this one.
08:19So we can all fight global warming.
08:22Global warming is caused by gases.
08:24Mostly one calls CO2.
08:26Number 23.
08:28Centaur.
08:29Fantasia.
08:30An oldie but a goodie,
08:32the original Fantasia proved enduring enough to warrant its own sequel decades later.
08:37But not all things about this musical anthology film aged well.
08:41Set to Ludwig van Beethoven's The Pastoral Symphony,
08:44this animated segment featured several creatures from Greek and Roman mythology,
08:49including a little centaur named Sunflower,
08:52who looks uncomfortably close to a racial caricature.
08:55Disney wasted no time in deleting the character,
09:11even prior to the theatrical re-release in 1969.
09:15It has kept the edit ever since,
09:24both for home video and streaming,
09:26complete with a disclaimer.
09:28It was perhaps for the best.
09:39Number 22.
09:41Bulge.
09:42The Little Mermaid.
09:43Remember the moral panics over Disney films and subliminal messaging?
09:47We do, unfortunately.
09:49A moment that gave the pearl clutchers much ammunition
09:51was in this scene during Vanessa's and Eric's wedding.
09:55A shot of the priest's knee was mistaken for an erection.
10:01This misunderstanding even led to a lawsuit in 1995
10:05by an indignant Arkansas woman,
10:07claiming the movie contained an explicit sexual message.
10:11Do you, Eric?
10:13Take Vanessa to be your lovely-witted wife?
10:16The lawsuit was dropped two months later,
10:19but Disney played it safe instead of sorry,
10:21and edited out the knee anyway.
10:24This edit was retained when the film entered Disney+.
10:27Get away from me, you slimy little-
10:37Number 21.
10:40Naked Woman.
10:41The Rescuers.
10:42This is a strange case where people's dirty imaginations
10:45were actually right for once.
10:47This charming film about mice rescuers
10:50did have a hidden Easter egg.
10:52In the scene where Bernard and Bianca take off,
10:54one of the windows of the city shows a topless woman,
10:57appearing twice in non-consecutive frames.
11:03Ooh, I just love take-offs.
11:08It's only visible if you slow down the film,
11:11but it was enough for Disney to recall
11:12all 3.4 million home video copies
11:15and re-release it without the offending image.
11:18Captain, you fly beautifully.
11:21It's just like being on a roller scooter.
11:29Just went through a red light.
11:31Oh, I do that all the time, darling.
11:33It isn't known how or who included this saucy Easter egg,
11:37but the edit was retained in all versions of the film.
11:52Number 20.
11:53Accidental Adult Content.
11:55The Santa Claus.
11:56Intentional or not,
11:58this line from The Santa Claus
11:59was the reason for a lot of concern
12:01from parents back in the 90s.
12:04What are you talking about?
12:05Why, you ask?
12:06Well, a seemingly harmless joke
12:08about an adult entertainment phone line
12:10accidentally used a real number in the script,
12:13leading curious kids to call the number,
12:15and, well, you get the idea.
12:19Here's...
12:20Neil's mom's number in case.
12:221-800-SPANK-ME.
12:25I know that number.
12:27And a Merry Christmas to you, too.
12:30Parents were not happy,
12:31and the scene was edited
12:32on both Home Video and Disney+.
12:35It's still there,
12:36but the characters don't reference
12:37the number at all anymore,
12:39and the scene goes on
12:40as if the joke never existed.
12:42You don't want kids running around
12:43using their imaginations.
12:44Number 19.
12:45Isis.
12:46Hannah Montana.
12:48Serving as a parody of Madonna,
12:49Isis appears in the second season
12:51Hannah Montana episode,
12:53Yet Another Side of Me.
12:54She's a singer known for
12:56frequently reinventing her look,
12:57and by the end of the episode,
12:59she steals Hannah Montana's.
13:01It's Isis.
13:06While this character was named Isis
13:08in the original airing,
13:09she was subsequently renamed
13:11Ice in later repeats,
13:13and this censored version of the episode
13:14is the one found on Disney+.
13:16I love her!
13:18Immaterial Girl was my theme song
13:20when I was six.
13:21It's very likely that Disney
13:23wanted to dissociate
13:24from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria,
13:27an organization that has been accused
13:29of various crimes against humanity.
13:31She met Ice today,
13:33who told her Hannah's career's in trouble.
13:35Number 18.
13:36Bust Reduction.
13:37Knickknack.
13:38A crudely animated short film from 1989,
13:42Knickknack was produced by Pixar
13:43and directed by John Lasseter,
13:46who would later direct
13:47the first two Toy Story films.
13:49Found within the short
13:50are various knickknacks
13:51with rather large busts.
14:01But when the short film
14:02was re-released alongside
14:03Finding Nemo in 2003,
14:06the animation was altered
14:07to reduce their bust size.
14:09A mermaid knickknack
14:10was also seen with starfish pasties,
14:13but this was later changed
14:14into a seashell bra.
14:16It's this altered version
14:17that can be found on Disney+.
14:19However,
14:20Lasseter was quick
14:21to place the blame
14:21on himself rather than Disney,
14:23as he personally made the changes
14:25after becoming a father.
14:27Number 17.
14:29The King of Disney Easter Eggs.
14:31The Lion King.
14:32It has long been suggested
14:33that The Lion King
14:34contains a rather cheeky Easter egg.
14:37The legend goes
14:38that when Simba flops to the ground
14:39and kicks up a cloud of dust,
14:41the word sex forms
14:42in the individual dust motes.
14:44An animator for the film
14:57named Tom Seto
14:59acknowledged the inclusion
15:00of the Easter egg,
15:01although he claims
15:02that it spells SFX
15:04as a nod to the effects animators.
15:07But it doesn't really matter now,
15:08because modern viewers
15:10can't see it anyway.
15:11Not in front of the kids.
15:13Oh, sorry.
15:14This scene was altered
15:15for the 2002 IMAX re-release,
15:18and all further home
15:19and streaming releases
15:20have retained the censored scene.
15:27Number 16.
15:29The Fez Symbol.
15:30Gravity Falls.
15:31In the original run
15:32of Gravity Falls,
15:33the character of Grunkle Stan
15:35wears a fez
15:36adorned with a fish-shaped figure.
15:38Within the canon of the show,
15:40this is the symbol
15:41of the Royal Order
15:42of the Holy Mackerel,
15:43to which Grunkle Stan belongs.
15:45Here we go.
15:46However,
15:47the symbol bears
15:48a slight resemblance
15:49to that of the
15:50Floridian Masonic Society,
15:52the Shriners.
15:53As a result,
15:54the symbol was removed
15:55for the show's streaming
15:56on Disney+,
15:57much to the frustration
15:58of series creator Alex Hirsch.
16:00If only they knew
16:01how evil he really was!
16:03He penned a rather harsh tweet
16:04after learning of the change,
16:06stating that it was removed
16:07for, quote,
16:08no reason,
16:09and that Disney, quote,
16:10can't keep track
16:11of what they're pretending
16:12to be concerned about this week.
16:14Such accusations!
16:16Number 15.
16:17Max gets a little too close
16:19to Roxanne.
16:20A goofy movie.
16:21Those watching a goofy movie
16:22on Disney+,
16:23will quickly notice
16:24a bit of censorship,
16:26as it occurs
16:26within the first 30 seconds.
16:28The movie's opening
16:29dream sequence
16:30sees Roxanne
16:31flying towards Max
16:32and landing
16:33in his outstretched arms.
16:35In the original version,
16:42Max's nose
16:43is squished
16:43into Roxanne's
16:44falling chest,
16:45but this was supposedly
16:46deemed problematic
16:47by Disney
16:48and altered
16:49for both the streaming
16:50and recent Blu-ray releases.
16:52I can't believe I did that!
16:54In the Disney Plus version,
16:55the distance between
16:56Max's nose
16:57and Roxanne's bust
16:58was increased,
17:00meaning Roxanne
17:00lands further away
17:01from Max's face
17:03and his nose
17:03doesn't bump
17:04into her chest.
17:05Often regarded
17:14as one of Disney's
17:15greatest shorts,
17:16Clock Cleaners
17:17runs a swift
17:18eight minutes
17:19and was released
17:19in the fall of 1937,
17:22featuring Walt Disney
17:23himself as the voice
17:24of Mickey Mouse.
17:27One scene sees
17:28Donald Duck
17:29fighting with a mainspring,
17:30asking the question
17:31says who
17:32and calling it
17:33a snake in the grass.
17:34However,
17:35Donald's goofy voice
17:36makes the words
17:37hard to discern
17:38and some people
17:39believed he was swearing.
17:45Both instances
17:46were altered
17:47for a 2001 DVD release
17:49and the Disney Plus release
17:50has retained the changes.
17:52The says who
17:53has been significantly
17:54cleaned up
17:55to be more discernible
17:56and the snake
17:57in the grass line
17:58has been completely
17:59replaced by a slew
18:00of angry shouts.
18:04Number 13.
18:12Throwing an acorn?
18:14The Emperor's New Groove
18:15While it wasn't
18:16a major commercial success,
18:18The Emperor's New Groove
18:19has found a new
18:20generation of fans
18:21thanks primarily
18:22to the funny
18:23internet memes.
18:24However,
18:26new fans
18:27are not getting
18:28the movie
18:28in its full
18:29intended glory.
18:30In the original
18:31version of the film,
18:32an irritated Cusco
18:33throws a small rock
18:34at Pacha's head.
18:35In future Blu-ray
18:41releases and the
18:42Disney Plus streaming
18:43release,
18:44this small rock
18:44was changed
18:45into an acorn.
18:46It's not really
18:47a big deal
18:48and it still has
18:49the same comedic
18:49effect.
18:55But if Disney
18:56is that concerned
18:57with violence,
18:58why didn't they
18:58just make it
18:59an acorn
18:59in the first place?
19:01Number 12.
19:02A Whole New Movie
19:03Aladdin
19:04The Disney Plus
19:05version of Aladdin
19:06opens with a
19:06content warning,
19:07quote,
19:08acknowledging its
19:09harmful impact.
19:10And while they
19:11claim that nothing
19:11has been altered,
19:13that doesn't seem
19:13to be the case.
19:14The opening song
19:15has retained changes
19:16that were made
19:17for the DVD,
19:18swapping out the lyrics
19:19to
19:26where it's flat and
19:28immense and the heat
19:29is intense.
19:30Those changes were
19:31made after the
19:32American Arab
19:33Anti-Discrimination
19:34Committee criticized
19:35Disney for cultural
19:36insensitivity.
19:38Furthermore,
19:38Aladdin's whispered line,
19:40good tiger,
19:41take off and go,
19:42was removed as well
19:43because people thought
19:44he was seeing
19:44something much worse.
19:47Number 11.
19:47Messed Up Censorship
19:49Free Solo
19:49Found on Disney Plus
19:51is the Academy Award-winning
19:52documentary Free Solo,
19:54which details Alex Honnold's
19:56attempt to climb
19:57Yosemite's El Capitan
19:58without the help
19:59of ropes or harnesses.
20:01In the original version,
20:02Honnold utters the line,
20:04I don't know,
20:04so I've really not
20:05thought about this
20:05since 2009.
20:06Like, each year
20:07since 2009,
20:08I've been like,
20:08this is the year.
20:09And then each year
20:09I climb it and I'm like,
20:10this isn't the year.
20:11Like, this is...
20:12This line was completely
20:13redubbed for the
20:14Disney Plus release,
20:16changing F'd Up
20:17to Messed Up.
20:18Later in the documentary,
20:19the word Goddamn
20:20has been removed
20:21when Honnold states,
20:22That is the
20:23Goddamn Warrior Spirit.
20:24Changing it to just,
20:25this is the Warrior Spirit.
20:27Free Solo was originally
20:28given a PG-13 rating
20:30for brief,
20:31strong language,
20:32and it seems like
20:33it was just a little
20:33too strong for
20:34Disney's liking.
20:36Number 10,
20:37a musical for
20:38the whole family.
20:39Hamilton.
20:40In the summer of 2020,
20:41the cultural phenomenon
20:42that is Hamilton
20:43came exclusively
20:44to Disney Plus,
20:45only fans were quick
20:46to notice that
20:47some things
20:48were a little different.
20:49Primarily,
20:50two F-words
20:50that were removed
20:51from the musical
20:52in order to avoid
20:53an R-rating.
20:54The first comes
20:55in Yorktown,
20:56the world turned upside down,
20:57when an utterance
20:58of the F-word
20:59from Hercules Mulligan
21:00was muted.
21:01Hercules Mulligan,
21:02I need to know
21:03what you touch,
21:03when you knock me down,
21:04I get the back of that.
21:06The second is in
21:07Washington On Your Side,
21:08when a reversing record sound
21:10has been placed
21:11over a nasty word
21:12harmonized by
21:13Jefferson,
21:13Madison,
21:14and Burr.
21:15It may come as
21:16quite a shock
21:16to Hamilton purists
21:17who have listened
21:18to the soundtrack
21:1810,000 times,
21:20but hey,
21:20it's for the kids.
21:28Number 9.
21:29Horseplay,
21:30Bluey.
21:31We open this entry
21:32with a question.
21:33What could a program
21:34geared towards toddlers
21:35possibly have content-wise
21:37that could warrant censoring?
21:39Would you believe
21:40poop?
21:41Yep.
21:41That was disgusting!
21:44Yeah!
21:45There's a scene
21:45in the first season
21:46episode Markets
21:47that features a horse
21:48doing his business
21:49after being pet
21:50by a group of kids.
21:52On Disney+,
21:53the scene now only shows
21:54the horse wagging his tail.
21:56Goodbye, buttermilk.
21:57You're so beautiful.
22:00Ah!
22:02Elsewhere,
22:02there was also
22:03the temporary removal
22:04of two episodes
22:05titled Teasing
22:06and Flat Pack.
22:08You are!
22:09What?
22:10Since when?
22:10We changed your name.
22:12You can't change my name!
22:14Parental pressure
22:15and complaints
22:16led to it being
22:17excluded in the series
22:18run on Disney+.
22:19Number 8.
22:20Don't Try This at Home
22:22Lilo and Stitch
22:23Ask any child
22:24of the 80s
22:25which episode
22:26of Punky Brewster
22:27they remember
22:27and the odds
22:28are pretty good
22:29that they'll reference
22:29that one time
22:30Cherry Johnson
22:31got locked
22:32in an old refrigerator.
22:3375, 80, 81, 80, 80, 80, 80, 40, 50.
22:37Maybe this explains
22:39the inspiration
22:39for 2002's
22:41Lilo and Stitch
22:41where Lilo originally
22:43chooses a dryer
22:44for her hiding place.
22:53The version on Disney+,
22:55has since been changed
22:56in quite possibly
22:57the weirdest way.
22:59The dryer was turned
23:00into a cupboard of sorts
23:01with the top of a pizza box
23:03acting as the dryer's door.
23:07This was presumably changed
23:09so that kids
23:09wouldn't get the idea
23:10to try this stunt themselves.
23:12Or, you know,
23:13they could just go back
23:14and watch some punky instead.
23:16Number 7.
23:17No Joking Matter
23:18That's So Raven
23:19Some of the edits
23:20in this list
23:21have been pretty silly
23:22or funny.
23:23But there's nothing humorous
23:25about the implications
23:26behind this joke.
23:27If anyone present
23:28has any objection to this...
23:29Yeah, I do.
23:30Maybe I do
23:31so I'll come into it later.
23:32There's a reference
23:33to R. Kelly made
23:34during the episode
23:34There Goes the Bride
23:35when Raven says
23:37she's 15
23:37to a crowd
23:38who believes
23:39she's getting married
23:39to an older man.
23:41I love your son.
23:44Oh, no.
23:45Y'all don't understand.
23:46I'm only 15.
23:50The joke was taken out
23:51when That's So Raven
23:52migrated to Disney+.
23:54The episode
23:55Driving Miss Lazy
23:56also features
23:57a loud conversation
23:58where some viewers
23:59claim to have heard
24:00Raven drop
24:00a disparaging racial remark.
24:02Oh, we out of gas!
24:04Out of gas?
24:05Eddie!
24:06Don't Eddie me!
24:07It's not my fault!
24:08Uh, you gotta put gas
24:09in the car
24:09or that's what makes it go.
24:10Well, you're the one
24:11that can see the future.
24:12How come you couldn't
24:13see us running out of gas?
24:14I don't know why
24:15you ought to be my spirit!
24:17The episode
24:18has since been edited
24:19with the conversation mixed
24:20so that no real dialogue
24:22can be discerned.
24:23Number 6.
24:24Smoking
24:25The Muppet Christmas Carol
24:26The removal and censoring
24:28of tobacco imagery
24:29is something comparatively
24:31recent in the world
24:32of movies and television.
24:34It was never a big deal
24:35for protagonists
24:36to be seen smoking
24:37in the past,
24:38but today's entertainment
24:39requires a warning advisory
24:41if that sort of content
24:42is included.
24:43Well now,
24:45let's see.
24:46The Muppet Christmas Carol,
24:48available on Disney+,
24:50no longer includes
24:51the street choir conductors
24:52smoking a cigarette,
24:54with the offending nicotine stick
24:55having since been
24:56digitally removed.
24:58Christmas morning!
24:59No!
25:04Any Jim Henson fans
25:06wishing to see
25:07the unedited image
25:08as part of the film
25:09as a whole
25:10should either check
25:11the recent Blu-ray version
25:13of the film
25:13or dig out
25:14their old VHS.
25:18Number 5.
25:19Pick a change,
25:20any change.
25:21The Simpsons
25:22There have actually been
25:23a bunch of changes
25:24made to The Simpsons
25:25on Disney+,
25:26with some episodes
25:27having gone missing
25:28altogether.
25:29Specifically,
25:30the famous episode
25:31that featured
25:32the king of pop
25:32Michael Jackson
25:33as a guest star
25:34is gone,
25:35perhaps due to
25:36the controversy
25:36behind the documentary
25:37Leaving Neverland.
25:39Joe's Crematorium,
25:39you kill him,
25:40we grill him.
25:40Hello?
25:41Who is this?
25:42I'm Bart Simpson.
25:43Who the hell are you?
25:43I'm Michael Jackson.
25:45THE Michael Jackson?
25:46Pfft, no way!
25:47A joke at the
25:48Catholic Church's expense
25:49in the episode
25:50Sunday, Cruddy Sunday
25:51now omits
25:52the word Catholic
25:53altogether,
25:55opting for the use
25:55of just the word
25:56church.
25:57The church.
25:58We've made a few
25:59changes.
26:00These Super Bowl
26:03commercials are weird.
26:05Also,
26:05the episode
26:06Gorgeous Grandpa
26:07leaves out
26:07the Harlem Shake
26:08parody during
26:09the opening
26:09couch gag.
26:10We're not too sure
26:11what that's about
26:12though.
26:13Maybe they figured
26:13we wouldn't remember
26:14what it was?
26:15Leave your theories
26:16in the comments.
26:17Do the homie shake.
26:22Number 4.
26:24No Butts Allowed
26:25Splash
26:26Disney is a
26:27family-friendly company.
26:28We all know this.
26:29We also know
26:30however that the
26:31company experimented
26:32with some awesome
26:33more PG-rated fare
26:35back in the 70s
26:36and 80s
26:37such as The Black
26:38Hole, Midnight
26:39Madness, and
26:39The Black Cauldron.
26:41You did come
26:42for The Black Cauldron
26:43didn't you?
26:45Good!
26:46Then Clivey?
26:48It will only
26:49cost you your life.
26:51However,
26:52this doesn't mean
26:52that Disney Plus
26:53is about to allow
26:54nudity on their watch.
26:56However brief.
26:57If you're thinking
26:58of the movie Splash,
26:59you'd be right on.
27:03The version
27:04on the streaming
27:05service has added
27:06a mound of what
27:06we can assume
27:07is CGI hair
27:09or fur
27:10as one Twitter
27:10user puts it
27:11to Daryl Hannah's
27:12nude behind.
27:14Is this computer-generated
27:15cover-up distracting?
27:16Why yes.
27:17Yes it is.
27:18In fact,
27:19it seems to draw
27:19more attention
27:20to Hannah's body
27:21than if it had
27:22just been left
27:22unedited.
27:273.
27:28PG-13
27:29Adventures in Babysitting
27:31The 80s
27:32were a different time.
27:34We've already
27:35made mention
27:35of changing
27:36social norms,
27:37how they affect
27:38censorship,
27:38and what's
27:39considered acceptable
27:40with regards
27:40to film ratings.
27:41I've got the
27:42baby sitting blues
27:47baby
27:48babysitting blues
27:51The 80s classic
27:52Adventures in Babysitting
27:53was rated PG-13,
27:55which means that
27:56it was technically
27:57allowed one F-bomb,
27:59but don't go looking
27:59for that iconic
28:00line on the
28:01Disney Plus cut.
28:02Watch your mouth.
28:04You big city
28:06scum sucker.
28:07RULE!
28:09Instead,
28:10Elizabeth Shue
28:10says something
28:11about not fooling
28:12with the babysitter,
28:13which is just
28:14lame if you ask us.
28:16Incidentally,
28:17a homophobic remark
28:18early on in the film
28:19was changed
28:19to the word weirdo,
28:21but this edit
28:21goes way back
28:22to when the film
28:23was originally
28:23shown on television.
28:25Take back
28:26what you said
28:26about, Thor!
28:27Take it back, Brad!
28:29Take back
28:30what you said
28:30about, Thor!
28:31Obviously,
28:32it's also been
28:32kept that way
28:33for the streaming
28:34platform.
28:35Number 2.
28:36Casting Couch Credits
28:37Toy Story 2
28:39If you were a parent
28:40who stayed for the
28:41credits of Toy Story 2
28:42when it was first
28:43released in theaters,
28:44you may have been
28:44surprised by the
28:46crassness of a
28:46particular end credit
28:48scene.
28:48I am so sorry.
28:50It made an implicit
28:51reference to the
28:52endemic Hollywood
28:53practice of aspiring
28:54actors and actresses
28:55being pressured
28:56into doing favors
28:58in exchange
28:58for a role.
28:59I'm sorry,
29:00are we back?
29:01There's nothing
29:01funny about it,
29:03which perhaps
29:03explains why this
29:04joke was cut
29:05on later versions
29:06of Toy Story 2.
29:07During the
29:07original credits,
29:09Sneaky Pete
29:09insinuates that
29:10he can get a pair
29:11of Barbie dolls
29:12roles in Toy Story 3,
29:13presumably for
29:14something in return.
29:15Yes, anytime
29:16you'd like some
29:17tips on acting,
29:18I'd be glad
29:18to chat with you.
29:19We get dark humor,
29:20but this is
29:20definitely pretty
29:21skeezy,
29:22especially for a
29:23movie aimed at
29:24kids.

29:39A whole lot has
29:47been edited from
29:48the original run
29:49of Who Framed
29:49Roger Rabbit.
29:50For starters,
29:51Baby Herman raising
29:52his middle finger
29:53has been removed.
29:58And by this,
29:59we mean it was
30:00digitally painted
30:01over.
30:02Remember animated
30:02icon Betty Boop
30:03and her revealing
30:04dress slip over at
30:05the Ink and Paint
30:06Club?
30:06Thankfully,
30:14saved from
30:15prying eyes.
30:16Then there's
30:17that infamous
30:18reveal when
30:18Jessica Rabbit
30:19takes a tumble
30:20out of Benny the
30:21Cab.
30:24That's also been
30:25made more kid
30:26friendly on Disney
30:27Plus.
30:28In actuality,
30:28all of these
30:29changes were from
30:30before streaming
30:31platforms,
30:32meaning that you're
30:32going to have to
30:33treasure those old
30:34laser discs,
30:35VHS tapes,
30:36or simply your
30:36memories if you're
30:37on the hunt for
30:38an unedited version
30:39of this classic.
30:41Which other
30:42instance of
30:42retroactive censorship
30:44by Disney do you
30:45know of?
30:45Let us know in the
30:46comments.

30:47Oh, I just love

30:50Yeah.
