'Don't Tell Them': Hochul Immediately Urges Texas Democrats Not To Reveal Where They're Headed Next

At a press briefing, Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) urged Texas Democrats not to reveal where they are going next.

00:05where are you going? Don't tell them. We have delegations all over the state. We're

00:10continuing to meet with Democratic Governors. We're continuing to be bring

00:15coalitions into the fold and educating people as to what's happening and letting

00:20them know that the rules have changed. Are you staying in New York though indefinitely?

00:25Not all of this. Is this an invitation? On the advice of Council I'm going to advise

00:35them not to disclose where they're heading next for obvious reasons. Grace, you had a question?

00:40I was going to say, so two questions. One, both kind of process-oriented. For the Texas

00:46representatives, so you plan to be kind of traveling around the country but not

00:51necessarily staying in New York for the foreseeable future. Is that correct?

00:56Yeah, this is a war. We're building a coalition.

01:00We're not going back to Texas right now and we're not abandoning our jobs.

01:06I represent a Democratic district and our voices deserve to be heard. I am

01:12representing. I am not abandoning my duties. I am doing my job and Democrats have been

01:18shut out of the process over and over and over again and Democratic voices have a

01:23right to be represented and that's what I'm doing right now. I am representing my

01:27constituents and I am doing my job and not abandoning.

01:30Could y'all not ask them like what- it's like y'all asking them to give what their game

01:36plan and strategy is and this is very sensitive so I would ask that y'all allow

01:40them and give them the respect to put together their strategy without letting

01:45their opponents know what that is.

01:49But we also have a team. They dispatch us to wherever we go and we go to save democracy.
