00:00So I'm here at East Durham College with Germaine Defoe and Gemma Lowry. Germaine, you've just made a big donation to the Bradley Lowry Foundation. Where's the money come from?
00:11So the money's come from the Germaine Defoe Foundation. Over the years we've always done fundraising, we've done football tournaments, gala dinners, and I just thought that no better place but to hand it over to Gemma and the family for the Bradley Lowry Foundation as I'm a patriot as well.
00:28And Gemma, how much work does it mean to you this donation?
00:32It's incredible that Germaine's donated this money because it means that we can get the holiday home built and finished.
00:39So it'll enable all the children from the North East that are Pooley or Terminal will start making memories.
00:45We're in the process of building it. It was delayed because of Covid but we are making good progress now and with Germaine's money we're going to get it over the finish line.
00:55Gemma, are you still in regular contact with Gemma and the family?
01:01Yeah, nothing's changed to be honest from obviously when I was here as a player. Always kept in contact.
01:06I think it's important obviously the times when I've managed to come up, I'll come up and do everything I can.
01:12But I do feel like this was important for me to show my appreciation. I've always had love from the family.
01:18And everyone knows how much that obviously Brad and the family and the foundation means to me. So yeah.
