00:00Yeah, so we're going to concentrate on that last game
00:02that was on Sunday night, so only a couple of nights ago,
00:05and that was Girona 2, Wolverhampton Wanderers 1.
00:10Great to see all the fans out there.
00:11Pleasure to meet them in the bars and the clubs
00:14and wherever else we saw them in the streets, in the stadium.
00:18I'm sure a few people might still be over there, actually,
00:20enjoying the local tipple, shall we say.
00:23But, yes, a defeat for Vito Pereira's side.
00:26Some good, some bad, and we're going to talk about
00:28some of those players as well.
00:29Three up, two down from that game against Girona.
00:33And let's talk about a player who we saw in training
00:36on the Saturday for the first time in the flesh
00:37and came off the bench in that second half
00:40and really gave Wolves that added impetus
00:43that the game was slowing down.
00:45They looked tired. They looked a bit leggy.
00:46And then John Arias comes on, and we got the deal done.
00:49Of course, Liam, you broke the news when we were in Portugal,
00:51very early on in the Portugal.
00:53And it's nice to see that done, that dusted,
00:56him come on and make a telling impact,
00:58not just, I think, in the goal that he scored,
01:00but the minutes we saw him, someone who's going to be very direct,
01:03I think, who we both said, and I think this is, well,
01:07without seeing him and seeing him in the flesh,
01:09I think quite easily be one of the fan favourites this season.
01:13Yeah, I think so.
01:14He's got to play with his heart on his sleeve a little bit.
01:16I think fans, particularly Wolves fans, will really enjoy that.
01:19Yeah, it was the 65th minute, roughly,
01:22about when Arias and four of the Wolves players all came on.
01:26And the message, clearly, from Vito Pereira was,
01:29get at them.
01:30It's up the tempo a little bit.
01:32And Wolves started to do that with these players being introduced,
01:36and John Arias was at the heart of that.
01:38Unfortunately for him, the goal,
01:40maybe slightly fortunate in a small way,
01:42in the way that the ball bounced to him.
01:43But also, I think Jao Gomez does a lot of good work
01:46to bring that ball under control,
01:48dance beyond a couple and find the pass.
01:51And he takes the ball in his stride, first of all,
01:52an excellent first touch, shrugs off a challenge,
01:56is direct and is clinical, and it's a really good finish.
01:58So those things are really positive.
02:00But aside from the goal, you know,
02:02his first real introduction or involvement was winning the ball,
02:07in the box, pressing high, being aggressive,
02:09getting the ball back and feeding last.
02:11And he had a near post shot saved.
02:12Lots of nice little neat Cruyff turns here and there,
02:15picked a few good passes.
02:17So lots of things to like about what he offered
02:19in just, you know, 25 minutes.
02:22We may, and maybe both of us hope,
02:25we'll see him from the start against San Tobago.
02:27And if we do, that's probably a good indicator
02:29that he starts against Man City,
02:30and hopefully we can see a lot more to come.
