00:00Journey to the West, Chapter 22, A Very Strange Pill.

00:11The Black Wind King took a step back. He looked confused.

00:17That pill jumped down my throat!

00:22The entire cave filled with light. The bear squeezed his eyes shut.

00:28When he opened them, Guan Yin was standing before him.

00:34Guan Yin! The bear cried.

00:37You tricked me with a disguise!

00:40Return the robe at once, said Guan Yin.

00:44No! said the Black Wind King.

00:49I don't want to!

00:53He held his stomach and groaned.

00:56Are you feeling okay? asked Wukong's voice.

01:01The bear looked around, surprised.

01:03I just heard the monkey!

01:06He fell to his knees and groaned again.

01:10Where are you?

01:13I'm inside you, said Wukong.

01:16I changed myself into a pill to trick you.

01:20Now I'm going to practice some of my fighting skills.

01:24The monkey punched and kicked the bear's insides.

01:28Boom! Pow! Boom! Pow!

01:33Cried the Black Wind King, rolling on the floor.

01:36Wukong jumped up and down, did flips, and ran around in circles.

01:43Please! Stop!

01:45Shouted the Black Wind King.

01:47You're hurting my belly!

01:50Give back the robe, said Guan Yin.

01:54I will! I promise!

01:56Said the bear.

01:57I will do anything you say!

02:01Just please tell the monkey to stop!

02:06Guan Yin held up the metal headband.

02:09It looked just like the one on Wukong's head.

02:12She placed it on the bear's head.

02:15Wukong, come out now, said Guan Yin.

02:19A tiny Wukong popped out of the Black Wind King's nose.

02:24He quickly grew to his normal size.

02:28Where's the robe?

02:29Asked the monkey.

02:31The bear pointed to a dark room in the back of the cave.

02:36After Wukong left to get the robe,

02:39the Black Wind King charged at Guan Yin.

02:43But the bear was too slow.

02:46Guan Yin threw four more metal bands at him.

02:50Two clamped onto his wrists.

02:53The other two clamped onto his ankles.

02:57When the Bodhisattva began reciting a spell,

03:00the bear screamed.

03:02Ah!

03:03Please, stop!

03:06Do you promise to be good?

03:08Asked Guan Yin.

03:09Yes!

03:11Answered the Black Wind King.

03:14I promise!

03:17Wukong came back with the robe.

03:19When he saw the bear, he laughed.

03:22Ha ha ha!

03:22You have five of those bands.

03:26The Black Wind King looked at the ground and sighed.

03:31I got the robe, Bodhisattva, said the monkey.

03:35What should we do with the bear?

03:36I will show him mercy, said Guan Yin.

03:41He can be my guardian on Mount Potolaca if he behaves.

03:47The Bodhisattva led the bear out of the cave and vanished.

03:54Wukong flew back to the monastery.

03:57You got the robe, cried the Tang monk when he saw the monkey.

04:03I did, said Wukong.

04:07The two travelers headed west again.

04:10Wukong told the monk about his adventure with the Black Wind King.

04:14I destroyed the Taoist priest, the monkey explained.

04:19He was really an evil wolf spirit.

04:22Then Guan Yin made herself look like him.

04:25And you turned yourself into a pill, said the Tang monk.

04:30And I went right into that bear's belly.

04:33Wukong laughed.

04:35He was very surprised.

04:38The Tang monk smiled.

04:40I think we both learned a valuable lesson, Wukong.

04:44I will never show anyone the robe again.

04:47That's a good idea, said Wukong.

04:51The robe is a gift from Buddha.

04:53We must be careful.

04:56He stopped talking and pulled out his iron bar.

05:00There's a spirit nearby.

05:02He looked toward a nearby cave.

05:06There was a snort.

05:08The Tang monk shook with fear.

05:10A pig-like creature leaped from the cave, swinging a heavy rake.
