00:00Greetings Captains, I'm Bogsy, and welcome to the Update 14.7 video, where you can learn all about the In the Name of Tomorrow event, 80 years since Victory Event Pass, Laffy Dockyard, start of World of Warships 10th Anniversary Celebrations, improvements and changes to aircraft carriers and planes, and the expansion of the content rarity system to the Armory.
00:30This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II. Of course, our game is proud to commemorate such a momentous occasion with a special history-based event. In the name of tomorrow, it will last for six weeks, and it consists of three separate operations.
00:54Aid scattered allied ships in Arctic Convoy and escort them to safety as you fend off enemy attacks. Join a night raid in Tokyo Express as you search for and destroy targets under the cover of darkness.
01:09Be the vanguard of the Pacific Offensive as you help an allied ship destroy island fortifications and secure capture points while confronting bot waves.
01:19Expect dynamic objectives, climactic final battles, priority enemy targets, enhanced bot ships, and more. These operations were inspired by real-life events and naval campaigns.
01:32What's more, they come with an overarching narrative. To ensure a more immersive experience, each operation features restrictions on ship tiers and nations. If you don't own an eligible ship, we've got you covered!
01:47During the event, French tier 6 cruiser La Galissonnière and American tier 8 cruiser Cleveland will be available as rentals. Seven players will be fighting against bots, and each operation lasts one week. Starting from the fourth week, all three operations will rotate with a wider ship selection.
02:09As is customary, this event comes with some awesome rewards. You can earn stars by participating in In the Name of Tomorrow. These will unlock stages of a story campaign surrounding Officer Robert Adams and his service on San Diego in World War II.
02:27As you unlock these stages, you'll earn elements of the 39 to 45 Chronicles, 16-part historical collection. The campaign can bring you a permanent camouflage for Iowa, a dramatic enemy destruction effect, and the hero of the story, Robert Adams, as commanded.
02:46Completing the campaign will bring you the crowning reward of the event, American tier 8 premium cruiser San Diego.
02:53The historical ship that was the first large Allied warship to enter Tokyo Bay at the end of World War II.
03:05When it comes to the event pass, we've also dedicated it to 80 years since Victory and named it Aptly.
03:14The first progression line holds many valuable items, but we'll highlight the two new War is Over containers, 80 years since Victory flag, and the final reward, the Stormy Sky Permanent Camouflage for...
03:28The Raskat. Want more seafaring spoils? You can unlock the second progression line for Doubloons, and immediately get the traditions of the North Permanent Camouflage for Scunner as a bonus reward.
03:41The second line holds the underwater explosion enemy destruction effect. French tier 6 cruiser De Grasse waits for you at level 10, and subsequently, two War is Over Premium containers,
03:55and the traditions of the North Permanent Camouflage for Oster Jotland as the final reward.
04:02Update 14.7 puts the Laffy Dockyard into production.
04:08Ha ha ha ha ha, Laffy.
04:11Players will be able to construct historical American tier 10 destroyer Laffy, once dug the ship that would not die.
04:20In World of Warships, you can play her as an offensive destroyer that relies on main guns, which come with burst fire.
04:27She boasts strong concealment and a nice set of consumables. Improved defensive AA fire, enhanced specialized repair teams, and the new toggleable smoke generator.
04:38However, she does have a small HP pool, and her torpedoes are more of a supplementary weapon.
04:44You need to complete all 20 phases to build your own Laffy, and 18 of them can be finished through mission chains.
04:51Of course, starter packs are available at discounted prices, and you can purchase shipbuilding phases for Doubloons.
04:59Now, anniversaries are a big deal, especially when you forget one.
05:06And World of Warships is coming up on perhaps our most important, our 10th anniversary.
05:12You can whet your appetite because we've got some big things cooking in the galley.
05:17For you, our esteemed captain.
05:20We want to begin this celebration a bit early.
05:23And from the update start to the end of this year, you can participate in our Grand Voyage event.

06:02Our developers are working hard on a set of changes for aircraft carriers and planes.
06:07And Update 14.7 is already bringing some of the smaller improvements to the game.
06:13These impact detectability, carrier fires, manual control of carrier secondary guns, and more.
06:20If you want to explore the changes more thoroughly, check out the dedicated development blog.
06:25The content rarity system was introduced in Update 14.6, and it has now been extended to the items in the Armory,
06:32Captain's Logbook, and Container Barge rewards.
06:35This will give players a clearer understanding of the level of effort required to get ships and various items,
06:42as well as how exclusive they are.
