00:15Erlang quickly tied up Wukong and brought him up to Heaven.
00:24I want Sun Wukong destroyed, said the Jade Emperor.
00:30Soldiers tied Wukong to a pillar in a courtyard.
00:35They struck him with swords.
00:39But his body was as hard as a diamond.
00:43The swords shattered.
00:45Wukong laughed.
00:47Your swords can't hurt me.
00:50The Jade Emperor turned to a messenger.
00:53Bring in the fire gods.
00:55Several fire gods entered the courtyard and threw balls of flame at Wukong.
01:03The courtyard filled with smoke.
01:07But when the smoke cleared, not one hair on Wukong's body was burned.
01:12Thank you, Wukong laughed.
01:16I was feeling a little cold.
01:20Gather the Thunder Gods, said the Jade Emperor.
01:24Several Thunder Gods entered the courtyard.
01:29The Jade Emperor smiled as lightning bolts shot toward Wukong.
01:34But even the lightning couldn't harm the monkey.
01:39That tickled, said Wukong with a smile.
01:42The Jade Emperor shook his head.
01:44It seems that Wukong can't be destroyed.
01:50That's because he ate all the peaches, said Lauza.
01:54Just one peach would make someone live forever.
01:57He ate every peach in the garden.
02:00The Emperor frowned.
02:02Then how will we get rid of him?
02:03I have an idea, said Lauza.
02:07I'll put him in the large pot I use for making potions.
02:11Maybe we can burn him up slowly.
02:14Perfect, said the Jade Emperor.
02:20Soldiers brought Wukong to a room in Lauza's palace.
02:27A large pot sat in the middle of the room.
02:30Lauza put Wukong into the pot.
02:37And then closed the lid.
02:40Lauza started a fire under the pot.
02:44Day and night he tended the fire.
02:47He kept it burning for 49 days.
02:52Wukong must have been destroyed by now, thought Lauza.
03:00He slowly took the lid off the pot.
03:06Smoke poured from the opening.
03:08And Wukong leaped out.
03:12The pot fell over.
03:14Burning pieces of coal flew everywhere.
03:20Wukong's eyes were red and he was coughing.
03:22That smoke was horrible, he cried.
03:28He pushed Lauza, knocking the sage onto his back.
03:33Wukong pulled out his iron bar and smashed everything in the room.
03:38Somebody stop him, cried Lauza.
03:41Wukong ran out of Lauza's palace.
03:46Gods and spirits bled as Wukong smashed everything in his path.
03:49Lauza ran into the Cloud Palace.
03:56Your majesty, Wukong is causing trouble all over heaven, he said.
04:01What? cried the emperor.
04:03He's alive?
04:05Yes, said Lauza.
04:07I took the lid off the pot because I thought he was burned up.
04:11But the fire didn't hurt him at all.
04:13This is an outrage, said the jade emperor.
04:16What are we going to do with that monkey?
04:20The emperor thought for a moment.
04:23We must ask Buddha for help, he said.
04:26He turned to a messenger.
04:28Go to the Western Paradise quickly.
04:31See if Buddha can come to help us.
04:37Flying as fast as he could,
04:39the messenger headed toward the Western Paradise.
04:42Everybody hid indoors as Wukong ran through heaven.
04:51Using his iron bar, he smashed doors and windows and knocked over statues.
04:57Suddenly, he stopped.
05:00Before him was a huge figure, glowing with golden light.
05:04What do you want? asked Wukong.
05:09I am Buddha, said the figure.
05:13Who are you and why are you causing all this trouble?
05:18Wukong smiled.
05:20I am Sun Wukong, king of the fruit and flower mountain.
05:25I should be the king of heaven too.
05:27I am going to the Cloud Palace to tell the jade emperor to leave.
05:32If he doesn't, I will never stop causing trouble.
