00:00In between all the negotiating, there's still time to enjoy the finer things, delicacies.
00:15With all 35 members of the House of Representatives now known, the state is another step closer
00:20to knowing who will form the next government.
00:23It's now upon all of us to ensure that in the interest of certainty and stability that
00:29we all work together.
00:31Labor is welcoming a new member in West Tamar Deputy Mayor Jess Green.
00:35A voice for workers in this state and I'll be a voice for families and people that are
00:39doing it tough in our community.
00:41And if she's lucky, Ms Green might land straight into government.
00:45Labor's still in conversations with the crossbench to ensure that should Mr Rockcliffe
00:50fail to find the four votes of support he needs, it can take the reins, most likely through
00:56a no-confidence motion.
00:57Tasmanian Labor stand ready to be in government, but we have to remember and make it very clear
01:01that the first step is for Jeremy Rockcliffe to demonstrate that he can or that he can't.
01:05And he's not doing a very good job of demonstrating that he can right now.
01:09But the Liberals say they don't need to prove anything.
01:12While I would welcome individual members of parliament signing confidence and supply,
01:18we don't need that to form a minority government.
01:22The results will be formally signed off on Tuesday at the declaration of the polls ceremony.
01:27After that, the Premier will ask the Governor to recommission his government.
01:31How long they stay in power will ultimately be determined by which party key crossbenchers
01:37decide to throw their support behind.
