00:00Let me ask you, Mr. President, just about pardons.
00:02I've got three names for you.
00:04And the first one, look, the media didn't care about this story when Joe Biden was in office.
00:09Suddenly they care about this story again.
00:11Ghislaine Maxwell serving 20 years in prison for sex trafficking.
00:15Is clemency on the table for her in exchange for testimony?
00:19I'm allowed to do it, but nobody's asked me to do it.
00:23I know nothing about it.
00:24I don't know anything about the case, but I know I have the right to do it.
00:28I have the right to give pardons.
00:30I've given pardons to people before, but nobody's even asked me to do it.
00:34Sean Diddy Combs.
00:36Right.
00:37Would you consider pardoning him?
00:38Well, he was essentially, I guess, sort of half innocent.
00:42I don't know what they do.
00:43He's still in jail or something.
00:45He was celebrating a victory, but he seems, I guess it wasn't as good as a victory.
00:51Probably, you know, I was very friendly with him.
00:56I got along with him great.
00:58And he seemed like a nice guy.
01:01I didn't know him well.
01:02But when I ran for office, he was very hostile.
01:06He said some not so nice things about you, sir.
01:07Yeah.
01:07And it's hard, you know, like you, we're human beings.
01:12Right.
01:12And we don't like to have things cloud our judgment, right?
01:17But when you knew someone and you were fine, and then you run for office, and he made some terrible statements.
01:25So, I don't know.
01:25It's more difficult.
01:27It makes it more, I'm being honest, it makes it more difficult to do.
01:31But more likely a no for Combs?
01:33I would say so.
01:34Okay.
01:35And what about George Santos?
01:38Boy.
01:38He just went away.
01:39Seven years.
01:40You know, he was, he lied like hell.
01:44I have to tell you.
01:45Yeah.
01:45And I didn't know him, but he was 100% for Trump.
01:51But I didn't, you know, I didn't, I don't, I might have met him, maybe, maybe not.
01:55I don't know.
01:56But he was a congressman, and his vote was solid.
01:59It sounds like a lot.
02:01He got in.
02:02You know, you could blame the other side for not checking him out.
02:04Yeah.
02:05He didn't do all those things that he said.
02:06The local news missed it.
02:07Everybody missed it.
02:07Well, you could say the media missed it.
02:10Everybody missed it.
02:11They found out about this stuff after the election was won.
02:14So nobody's talked to me about it.
02:16So they really, you know, they haven't talked to me about the two.
02:19They have talked to me about Sean, but they haven't talked to me about the two.
02:23But again, with him, I have the right to do it.
02:26Nobody's asked me, but it's interesting.
02:28He, is it seven years?
02:29Seven years.
02:30He just went away.
02:30That's a long time.
02:31Your deputy attorney general sat down with Ghislaine Maxwell for nine hours.
02:34I'm just wondering when the American people get to hear what she said during that interview.
02:39Well, I don't know, because I haven't spoken about it, but he's a very talented.
02:43The guy, Todd Blanche, and a very straight shooter.
02:47Yeah.
02:47And I think he probably wanted to know, you know, just to get a feeling of it, because
02:52we'd like to release everything, but we don't want people to get hurt that shouldn't be hurt.
02:57Yeah.
02:57And I would assume that was why he was there.
03:00I want to release everything.
03:02I just don't want people to get hurt.
03:03You can't have people associated.
03:06First of all, the files were run by some very bad people and very sick people like Comey
03:10and Lisa, the whole group, you know, all those people in that office.
03:14They ran those files for four years.
03:17And if they were going to use the files, they would have used it before my election, because
03:21unless they're stupid, which to a certain extent they are stupid.
03:24You're saying they would have released the information before the election.
03:26Well, they had the files.
03:27They control the files.
03:28Yes.
03:28They control the files.
03:29They control the files for four years.
03:32So if they had something, they would have released it before the election, because they
03:36are not geniuses, but, you know, they're evil.
03:40Right.
03:40There are a lot of evil people.
03:42So I can't really tell you much other than Todd went in, and I think he just wants to
03:49make sure that innocent people aren't hurt.
03:51But you'd have to speak to him about it.
03:53Okay.
03:53I want to ask you about the situation with Russia, Mr. President.
03:56You have tried for the last six months to end this debacle in Ukraine.
04:00It's now in calendar year number four.
04:02Today, just moments ago on Truth Social, you announced that you ordered two nuclear submarines
04:07to undisclosed locations because of something provocative that was said by one of the Russians.
04:16Can you tell us how concerned you are about a possible escalation right now?
04:20Well, a former president of Russia who is now in charge of one of the most important
04:25councils, Medvedev, said some things that are very bad, talking about nuclear.
04:31And when you mention the word nuclear, I say, you know, my eyes light up, and I say, we
04:35better be careful because it's the ultimate threat.
04:39He shouldn't have said it.
04:40He's got a fresh mouth.
04:41He's said things in the past, too.
04:44And so we always want to be ready.
04:46And so I have sent to the region two nuclear submarines.
04:51I just want to make sure that his words are only words and nothing more than that.
04:56And they're closer to Russia, I assume.
04:58They're closer to Russia.
04:59Yeah, they're closer to Russia.
05:01It's a terrible situation going on over there.
05:04You know, this last since the beginning of the year, they've lost 20,000 Russians in this
05:11ridiculous war.
05:12They've lost 8,000 Ukrainians, soldiers.
05:15And they've also lost people in cities and towns a lot, but not nearly numbers like that
05:21because missiles are being shot into Kiev and other places.
05:26This is Biden's war.
05:27This is not my war.
05:28This war would have never happened.
05:30It didn't happen for four years.
05:31It was never even talked about other than anything.
05:34I had conversations with Putin.
05:35It was the apple of his eye, but he wasn't going to go into Ukraine.
05:38And I will say this, that's a war that should end.
05:41That's a terrible war.
05:43The bloodiest and deadliest in Europe since the Second World War.
05:46Reagan said peace through strength.
05:48I now call it peace through Trump.
05:50I think that deterrent is very effective.
05:51Well, you know, we've settled a lot of wars.
05:54You take a look at what's happened just over the last little while.
05:57We've settled a lot of very beautiful wars that have been settled.
06:01Don't get a lot of attention from the media.
06:02No, they don't talk about it.
06:03Can I just ask you, your 10-day deadline?
06:04You know, one of the wars, think of it, India, Pakistan, nuclear.
06:09You look at Cambodia just recently.
06:13It looked like that was going to be another big war.
06:16It was going to be a war.
06:17I settled that up.
06:18And I settled it up with trade.
06:19I settled a lot of them with trade.
06:21I said, listen, you guys are going to fight.
06:23You can fight all you want.
06:24I mean, just fight your hearts out.
06:26But we're not doing a trade deal.
06:28All of a sudden, they end up not doing a war.
06:30I settled in the Congo.
06:31Well, we settled a big one with Rwanda.
06:35It's going on for 31 years.
06:37Eight million people dead, killed.
06:40It looked like it was going to go on for another 31 years.
06:42And we settled that one.
06:45Kosovo, you know about that.
06:47Serbia, that was going to break out.
06:50I mean, I settled a lot of wars.
06:52I think I settled averaging about a war a month.
06:56But, you know, we're saving millions of lives.
06:59Look what we did with the nuclear threat of Iran that was totally obliterated, as now has been confirmed.
07:07You know, they like to say, well, maybe it wasn't really that.
07:11Well, it was obliterated.
07:12It turned out they just reported today it was totally obliterated.
07:17Those pilots did some job.
07:18But we wiped out that nuclear threat.
07:21We've done a lot for peace.
07:24Just quickly, you gave Russia, I think it was like a 50-day deadline.
07:27And then you lowered that to between 10 and 12 days.
07:30That would expire next Friday.
07:32What happens if there's no deal?
07:35We'll put sanctions on.
07:36And he's pretty good with sanctions.
07:38He knows how to avoid sanctions.
07:39Does Putin know how serious you appear to be now?
07:42I just want people to stop dying.
07:43Yeah.
07:44You know, this was Biden's war.
07:45This was not my war, Rob.
07:47This was Biden's war.
07:50It would have never happened.
07:51And it didn't happen.
07:52For four years, it didn't happen.
07:53There was no discussion of it.
07:55It wasn't going to happen.
07:56I told Putin, can't do it.
07:58It wasn't going to happen.
07:59And I got along with him very well.
08:01And the sad thing is, when I come in, I want to put this fire out.
08:06And this is the one flame, but I want to put the fire out.
08:09And I've talked to Putin a lot.
08:11And I think we had a great conversation.
08:14Then I go home, and I feel, I see that a bomb was dropped in Kiev.
08:20And some of the various cities are killing people.
08:23I say, you know, I just had this great conversation with him.
08:26And it looked like we were going to, I thought we had it worked out three different times.
08:29And maybe he wants to try and take the whole thing.
08:32I think it's going to be very hard for me.
08:34Has your opinion of Putin changed just in dealing with him?
08:36I'm surprised.
08:37You knew him, but.
08:38I don't want to say that.
08:39Look, he was, he's obviously a tough cookie.
08:42But, so it hasn't changed in that way.
08:44But I'm surprised.
08:46We had numerous good conversations where we could have ended this thing.
08:49Yeah.
08:49And all of a sudden, bombs start flying.
08:51I don't think so.
08:52I don't think so.
