00:00You said returns?
00:04To be honest, I feel like it's like everything since being here.
00:08Yesterday was the first practice I had since being here
00:11that I actually felt like I could,
00:14like genuinely I felt like I knew where the ball was going to go,
00:18like off my racket.
00:19Like I've been having an incredibly hard time
00:22just putting the ball in the court.
00:25Typically when I'm missing shots,
00:27I know exactly why I'm missing,
00:29I know what I did wrong like the first couple days I was here and even in my first round match there's balls going
00:3410 feet long that feel exactly the same as the one that was just right before it went in so I just felt like
00:41in general the conditions are it's been really hard to just play good tennis I think it's a
00:47there's a lot of like ugly tennis there's a lot of people double faulting a lot of mistakes and
00:51I think it's two things I think the these balls are for sure the hardest balls to
00:57control that we play with all year the Wilson US Opens and they're not bad it's just the balls
01:02that we've been playing with on tour for the last couple years consistently the most they're just
01:06really soft and like more dead so you know they slow down off the bounce they they hold on your
01:15strings longer there's just like a more soft dead ball that we play with so now you play with these
01:19they shoot off your racket they jump off the court faster and then this court's very fast compared to
01:24I thought DC was pretty fast this is a faster coming through the court even more so it's it's just
01:31it's tough to control for sure you know you someone hits a really big flat ball into you it's it's tough
01:37to you know it's tough to just play it back into the court
01:41you
