00:00The line of duty proving dangerous once again for ICE.

00:04Authorities in Colorado saying that two illegals tried to ram their car into agents while they were conducting an operation.

00:12Bill Malusian's got the lowdown, with more now for us.

00:15Bill, what'd you find out?

00:17Well, Bill, it's extremely rare for ICE agents to have to fire their weapons while they're on the job,

00:22but the agency says they had to do it yesterday after two criminal illegal aliens tried to ram them with their vehicle

00:28when they were trying to arrest them.

00:30So this all happened yesterday in the Colorado Springs area after agents from ICE's Denver field office

00:35reportedly targeted illegal aliens at a construction site.

00:39Now, after the attempted vehicle ramming, ICE says one of their agents shot at the aliens in self-defense,

00:45but they escaped in their vehicle, which they later abandoned.

00:48They are now on the run with a manhunt underway for them as we speak.

00:52ICE says there were no injuries and adds in part, quote,

00:55Two criminal aliens attempted to ram their vehicle into ICE officers during a targeted enforcement operation

01:01in Colorado Springs, Colorado, July 31st.

01:03As a result of their violent actions and to protect the officers and agents on site,

01:08an officer fired three shots into the vehicle.

01:11The aliens fled and later abandoned the vehicle.

01:14Law enforcement officials are currently searching for the fugitives.

01:18Now, the nearby area was placed on a pretty brief shelter-in-place order during the manhunt,

01:23with one local resident saying he supports immigration, but only if it's legal.

01:30I'm not against immigration when it's done legally.

01:40Now, ICE reports that assaults against their agents are up a staggering 830 percent over the same time last year,

01:47and the agency attributes that to what they say is the near-constant lies and demonization of ICE
