Authors of The Resistance is amplifying the demand for accountability and transparent investigation into the militarized immigration raids terrorizing Chicago neighborhoods. Families were zip-tied as they slept. Tear gas was deployed near a public school. A City Council member was handcuffed at a hospital.

This is not enforcement—it is escalation. A deliberate campaign of fear unfolding in immigrant and Black communities, where helicopters descend and agents rappel into apartment complexes. Over 1,000 arrests have been made, but U.S. citizens and children are among those detained. The message is clear: no one is safe.

Governor JB Pritzker called it a “war zone.” We call it a breach. A violation of human dignity, sovereignty, and safety.

We demand full accountability, transparency, and an immediate halt to these violent operations.
