DIG East Zone takes major action against black sheep of the police!  DIG East Zone Karachi has taken major and decisive action against black sheep hiding in the police to save the reputation of the police department and restore public trust. According to reports, strict accountability has been started against officers and officials involved in corruption, mistreatment of citizens, fake encounters, and bribery in the East Zone.  The DIG has not only suspended several officials but has also started departmental action against them. Inquiry committees have been formed so that the facts can be brought to light and no innocent person is punished while the guilty are given strict punishments.  The DIG says that without reforms in the police department, it is not possible to establish law and order, and every police officer is accountable. He has also appealed to the public to directly report any abuse or bribery to his office or helpline.   This move could be a harbinger of positive change in the Karachi Police, a significant step towards restoring the rule of law and public trust.
