"Food Wars" host Joe Avella and David McDaniel, visit Burbank, California, to find the best savory snacks at Universal Studios Hollywood. They'll be visiting eight locations in just one day to see what the theme park has to offer. This is "Food Tours."
Transcript
00:00Food tours, Universal Studios, Hollywood, we're trying all the best snacks, both
00:04savory and sweet. I'm hungry, you hungry? I am starving. Alright David, let's get
00:10started. We're starting the day in Minions land and if it's despicable me
00:18and Minion food you want, then this is the place to come. Starting off we have
00:22the Minion churros. Well the mini churros, but sure the Minion churros. Yeah, they
00:27missed a trick there. Oh. Were you expecting that? I wasn't. Very crispy. Yeah, I love
00:35that crisp. This is very shareable, very family friendly. We're in a very family
00:39friendly land. You don't want to get one and pass around between the kids and
00:42stuff with this is everyone just grabs a bite, right? Yeah, you know me, I love a
00:44sauce so like if I could have like a caramel dipping sauce to go with this I
00:48think that'd be the only way to like make this better. But it's on its own the
00:51sweet cinnamon flavor, but they're incredibly crispy. I love that. I think
00:54it's really smart making a mini because they're a lot crispier. Yeah, we're here
00:57in the Super Silly Fun Land, which I'm assuming is something in this Minions.
01:00I don't know, I don't know about Minions. Yeah, so we're in Minion Land. Part of
01:04Minion Land is Super Silly Fun Land. That is where in the first movie Despicable Me
01:08Gru took the three girls, so Super Silly Fun Land is really like a play and a
01:12callback to that. Yeah, it's a little intense. It's a little bright and the
01:17voices and clearly for children, but notice that they put all that stuff over here.
01:21So it's like come here, get these snacks, let your kids go wild, just get it all out of your system.
01:26Yeah, if this isn't your vibe, it's nice because then it's not going to be like next to
01:30the more adult-friendly IP. Yeah, my note to the parents is just do this first.
01:33Do this first. Do this first, get your kids, give them these delicious snacks,
01:37run them ragged, get them tired, and then do the rest of the party.
01:40Kind of a note, there's also a bar around the corner, so I don't think that was on
01:43accident either. All right, so going in for some Minion cotton candy. All right,
01:48this is a pretty good-looking serving of cotton candy. Yeah, it is. Again, shareable, fun, like the whole family can get a bite.
01:54Well, it's raining, so let's have some cotton candy. Let's have some cotton candy.
01:57I'm going to go in here for the yellow one. Mmm, I'm so happy with like the yellow cotton candy,
02:05the fact that it is banana, I'm getting like my little banana Minion fix.
02:08Yeah, you want to switch? I'm sure. Sorry, this one gets one.
02:11That's all right, that's all right. Oh, grape, no? Was that grape? I would say this is grape. I'm like a grape.
02:19You're a grape guy? Oh, wow. As a kid, especially, like grape juice. Flavor-wise, I have to say,
02:23I like the grape, but theming-wise, I like the banana. You know, cotton candy actually was first
02:29introduced at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904, then called candy floss. Candy floss? Yeah.
02:36Okay, well, if I eat too much of this, I will definitely need to floss. I think it's so smart
02:40to be right here, super silly fun land, amusement park vibes. Yeah. I definitely think cotton candy,
02:46churro. That was sweet, now I'm on something salty. And here, they got popcorn. Popcorn it is.
02:52Popcorn is, in my opinion, undefeated. Yeah. I don't know if I'm going to like say it's the winner,
02:57but I'd be hard-pressed to find a snack that's better than popcorn. I agree. And also,
03:01we're at a theme park that's celebrating movies. To me, popcorn celebrates theme parks and movies,
03:05so we had to try it. All right, first of all, delicious. Second of all, portable. Third of all,
03:10because we didn't get any like butter or anything on it. Yeah. Now, we're not going to do this
03:14because we have too much to eat today, but if you were a big popcorn fan like us,
03:18one thing you could do is you could get the popcorn bucket. Look at this thing. Yeah. No matter
03:23which bucket you're getting, if you're getting a popcorn bucket, you're getting free refills on
03:27popcorn throughout the day. So if you are a popcorn lover, this might be the way to go. And you've built
03:31in a souvenir to take home with you. I feel like it's more of a minion's lover than a popcorn lover.
03:35I love popcorn, and honestly, I do not want this. Go ahead. Hear that? One more time.
03:39You know what this is going to be? What? This is going to be a thing that sits on the kid's shelf
03:44or sits in the house when they get back, and mom or dad's going to walk past that at four in the
03:48morning when they're getting ready. Yeah. It's going to scare the hell out of them. Totally.
03:51Great snacks. Yeah. Interesting merch. Yeah. They've got more to eat. You want to head out?
03:55Next stop. Let's go. Power Up Cafe. Let's get out of the rain. Oh my gosh.
04:02First things first, the super mushroom calzone. All right. Talk in a minute. Eat first. Go.
04:06Great. Hot. Oh, it is hot.
04:12Don't let the name fool you. It's mushroom shaped. Yes. There's no mushrooms in it. Not in this one.
04:18There is a vegetarian option, the one-up mushroom one. That's a basil pesto, has some vegetables in it.
04:23That's going to be the vegetarian friendly. We got the one filled with sausage, pepperoni, sauce.
04:30Obviously, Mario, Italian plumber, had to go with the calzone. I think it's better they did this than
04:35say like a slice of pizza. Yeah. It's dense. It's flavorful. It's got some heft to this, right?
04:39The mushroom spots, the white spots are actually pieces of provolone. They melted onto it right
04:45after they took it out of the oven. Yeah. There's really gooey cheese on top. I do love how it tastes.
04:49I think that it's deceitfully small. I feel like it's pretty filling. Yeah.
04:52As far as like a hot snack to get in the park, especially on a rainy day like today. Yeah.
04:56This is very good. Yeah. I'm very happy. I mean,
04:58the form, the shape, the look of it is cool, but honestly, this tastes amazing. Yeah.
05:03I love this. It's very good. It's very good.
05:06As a kid, like when I play video games, I would grab like a Hot Pocket. This is like
05:10basically a Mario Hot Pocket. That's like, that's an interesting line to draw. I didn't think about
05:13that to just know. You're so right. Hot Pockets are synonymous with playing video games. Totally.
05:17Do you think that was intentional? It just happens to be... I don't know, but like, I feel like
05:20very little in this park feels unintentional, so I feel like there's a reason behind everything. Yeah.
05:25Next up, we have the Fire Flower Pretzel. Are you expecting it to be spicy? Fire? What do you think? Oh,
05:30I didn't think about that. It is shaped like the flower you get to get the Fire Power. And I think
05:34that's called the Fire Flower. Go for the taste. You think it has something in it? I don't know.
05:37I don't know. Nope. Okay. It's straight pretzel. It's straight pretzel, but there's no salt,
05:43but it came with three dipping sauces. So the first one was a white queso. I think this is going to be my
05:50favorite right off the bat. It came with a white queso, a mustard, and a chipotle cheese sauce. Don't bother,
05:55I'll be cheese. Oh. No one's picking mustard over cheese. Ooh. That's nice though. Like, this is
06:00queso. Like, instead of nacho cheese, like, this is... This is what it's at right here. It's got heat
06:04to it. Mm-hmm. Where's the flavor it comes from? There's another cheese sauce there. There's the
06:07chipotle cheese sauce. Look, they even got like a bite. They even shaped it for the next bite.
06:11Mm-hmm. Pro over here. All right. Chipotle cheese. What do we think?
06:17Wipe my mouth with this. Chipotle cheese is good. White queso is the best one. Yeah. All right. So we're a fan.
06:24Yeah. Very good. Cheese is very good. Uh, are you a Mario player? Yeah. Are you a big Mario guy?
06:28Yeah. I would say first video game system my dad bought was Nintendo. Yep. The original. Yep.
06:33First game I think I played was Mario Brothers. With that Mario Duck Hunt in one game. Duck Hunt. Yeah.
06:38Contra as well. I remember the cheat codes to try to like get, but Mario was my jam. That is the game I played.
06:43It's so funny you mention that Contra cheat code. Like, that cheat code is like burned in my back. What is it?
06:48Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, and then select start up as two players or just start for a player?
06:53You need a shirt that says that. Left, right, left, right. Like, how's that on a shirt?
06:56I'm sure it is. I'm sure. I mean, there's no, I mean, yeah. Like, I have no clue what my wife's phone number is.
07:02But I know that code.
07:05I gotta slow down. Yeah.
07:06As much as I want to finish this, I'm not.
07:08Yeah, this could have been the calzone and maybe the pretzel could have been the meal.
07:12There's more stuff to eat and possibly drink.
07:14Ooh, I love a drink.
07:15Let's get going.
07:16Now, you know, the idea for Universal Studios originated in 1915.
07:20This guy, Carl Lemley, I believe it's pronounced, is one of the founders of Universal's Pictures.
07:24And he opened Universal City that looked a lot different than this,
07:27so people could watch the films being made.
07:30So I think that's why this whole vibe is like, oh, we're on a movie set.
07:33It's originally was like, we got these sets, why don't we just charge people to come in?
07:36I think it was like a quarter or something.
07:37Back then, most of the movies, I believe, were silent.
07:39So they could just like make all the noise they wanted.
07:42It didn't really matter.
07:42Yeah.
07:44How you doing?
07:44Um, can we get two walking tacos and one everything bagel pretzel, please?
07:49So we're going to be getting that walking taco there.
07:51I also figured it's about time for another pretzel.
07:53Another with salt, please, this time?
07:56We got Fritos.
07:57We got chili.
07:57We got cheese.
07:58Let's take a bite.
08:03You've had a Frito pie before, right?
08:04Frito pie, yes.
08:06I've never eaten it out of a bag.
08:09I was under the impression the Fritos chili and cheese is a Frito pie,
08:13but any sort of chips, Fritos included, with nacho fixings would be more of a walking taco.
08:18Oh.
08:19Now, I don't know because you've had Frito pie outside of a bag.
08:22Yeah.
08:23And you know what it is like this.
08:24It's Fritos.
08:24It's chili.
08:25It's like a chili cheese dip with the Fritos mixed in or on top, right?
08:27Yeah.
08:28Frito pie, I just think the base layer is Fritos and then you're getting all your chili toppings
08:32and you can go to town.
08:33So for me, if I was walking around the park, if I didn't mind my fingers getting a little messy,
08:37like this is very portable.
08:40Well, I was introduced to this as something you would just get at a convenience store and make
08:43yourself.
08:43Any convenience store that like a 7-Eleven or whatever already has the chili or nacho fixings.
08:47My understanding is this is probably designed around that habit that kind of developed from years
08:52of people doing it.
08:52They're using Fritos scoops.
08:54I've only made Frito pie with like Fritos.
08:56So this little like scoop idea, suddenly this is like Frito chili, like nacho.
09:02I need a better bite with some meat on it, but I'm definitely going to replace Fritos with
09:05the Fritos scoops.
09:06I mean, this looks like a pizza box.
09:08So what do you have next?
09:09Oh, pretzel.
09:10Ooh.
09:13Okay.
09:14Points for size.
09:14This is the biggest pretzel we're getting on all day.
09:16I mean, this is the giant Bavarian pretzel.
09:18We did not opt for the one with salt.
09:20We went with everything bagel seasoning, which is cool.
09:22And pretzel, have you done it before?
09:24I don't think I have.
09:25Unlike hard little pretzels, never a soft pretzel like this.
09:28So I'm very happy to try this.
09:30Let's dig in.
09:30All right.
09:31Oh, yeah.
09:31Yeah.
09:32Oh, it's soft.
09:33This would be tough to eat on your own.
09:34This would be tough on your own, but the size of it makes it very easy for people to share.
09:40Ooh.
09:42Nacho cheese dip.
09:42Here's my cheese.
09:43We'll try it.
09:44Nacho cheese dip.
09:45Ortega.
09:46Shout out to Ortega.
09:47Yeah.
09:47I mean, when I think of Bavaria, I also think of Mexico, don't you?
09:50That's right.
09:51Very close.
09:51Very close to them.
09:52Yeah.
09:53Couldn't have but noticed there was no mustard option.
09:56I wonder why that is.
09:58I know why.
09:58Mustard's so...
09:59I actually, as much as I like cheese, this has enough flavor without any cheese, you know?
10:03Yeah, I would agree with that.
10:05I wonder if you could get the salt pretzel, then walk 15 steps over to that Power Up Cafe
10:09and get that queso cheese they had.
10:11Oh my god.
10:11But I guess that's a pretzel in there as well, so why would you?
10:14I would probably like the queso with this, but...
10:16So we'll say everything bagel, seasoning, pretzel, fantastic's on its own.
10:20You go with the salt, grab the cheese.
10:22Yeah.
10:22100%.
10:23On to the next spot.
10:24On to the next.
10:25Let's go.
10:25Dude, are you kidding me with this?
10:28How nuts is this?
10:29Springfield, you would say.
10:30Wow, dude, this is great.
10:32I love this.
10:33Oh, this is awesome.
10:34Yeah.
10:34Well, look at the crusty thing all the way down there.
10:36That's really great.
10:37This is really awesome.
10:38Yeah.
10:38This is cool.
10:39You want to grab a donut?
10:40Sure.
10:40Let's do it.
10:42Two Lard Land donuts.
10:43Obviously donuts are quintessential cuisine and snacks from The Simpsons.
10:48So look at the size of these things.
10:50Very big, right?
10:50Yeah, what's the big donut shop in LA?
10:52There's Randy's.
10:53Well, there's a lot of donut shops.
10:54Yeah, yeah.
10:55It's a very popular one.
10:56But that one is like the iconic big donut.
10:58Yeah, the logo is a mix of the Randy's donut, the big donut, and then there's also,
11:02not a donut shop, but the restaurant Bob's Big Boy where the Lard Land kind of looks
11:07like Bob of Bob's Big Boy.
11:09Let's take a bite of these big donuts first.
11:11All right.
11:11And then we shall discuss.
11:12As I'm cutting, obviously Homer's a big donut fan.
11:14You've got the pink one, the iconic one that we see him eating all the time.
11:18To bring that iconic donut to Springfield, it's kind of a no-brainer, right?
11:21Yeah.
11:24Mmm.
11:24Mmm.
11:25Fantastic.
11:26Yeah.
11:27I mean, why have a bunch of small donuts when we have one giant one?
11:30I thought this would be too much like cake and not a donut, but yeah, it's very good.
11:35Have you had this one?
11:35You want to try the pink stuff?
11:37Yeah, let me try it.
11:38Maple's nice.
11:39That's very good.
11:40Mm-hmm.
11:40This definitely is something you've got to share with some people.
11:42Yeah.
11:42Like, that is a sugary bite.
11:44I mean, in the environment we're in, cartoons, this for me is the winner.
11:48This makes the big kid in me very happy.
11:50I would choose the pink one every time.
11:53Also, we took a swing down by Moe's Bar.
11:55Mm-hmm.
11:56Got a couple of Duff's in these fancy little glasses right there, so it's got about here.
11:59Yeah.
12:00I don't know which beer it actually is, probably some American domestic beer, I would assume.
12:04Cheers.
12:04I don't think they made a beer specifically for this, but maybe they did.
12:07Maybe they did.
12:08They have Duff and Duff Light.
12:09I think we got Duff, so.
12:10All right.
12:10Let's go ahead.
12:10Let's test.
12:14Okay, are you a beer guy?
12:15Yeah, sure.
12:16Yeah.
12:16I mean, yeah.
12:17Does this remind you of a beer?
12:19It tastes a lot like Miller Lite, but they also have a light beer, so that's Miller Lite.
12:23I don't think that'd be Miller.
12:25Oh, so maybe Miller, and then maybe Duff Light is Miller Lite.
12:28Anything in a themed cup, I feel like it's more about the experience and the drink itself.
12:32I think the cup was only two bucks.
12:33Yeah.
12:34We could have gotten this in like a plastic thing, and he said just two dollars extra for
12:37the cup.
12:38That's a bargain.
12:39I want to find this is not glass.
12:40Yeah, it's not glass.
12:41It's the finest plastic that Springfield has to offer.
12:43Yeah.
12:44It's a little weird to pair with a donut, but like if I was here not getting a donut, a burger,
12:50like a crusty burger, and a glass of this, I feel like that would be a very nice pair.
12:54But they didn't have it in these glasses, which is fine, but if you watch the show,
12:58they always have the beer stein, so I don't know why they didn't have a plastic one of those.
13:01I was a little expecting a stein of beer, like Barney is like chugging it and then belching.
13:06I get it.
13:07You know, they wanted souvenir glasses.
13:09These are easier probably to have, but one detail that I think they overlooked that is very bizarre
13:13is this, the Flaming Moes.
13:15Now, we got pictures from earlier.
13:17I think it looked like it was a drink that was all like bubbly or whatever.
13:21I kind of want to notice, but this is orange.
13:22The Flaming Moe in the show was most definitely purple,
13:26and this seems like this is like a non-alcoholic orange soda.
13:30Let's give it a taste.
13:31Let's see.
13:33That's definitely orange soda.
13:35And like maybe Sprite?
13:36I sort of get it, because like I feel like orange soda is so popular,
13:40and like grape soda not everyone loves, but flavor-wise,
13:44I'm enjoying the orange soda way more than I would grape soda.
13:46Here's the thing, in the Flaming Moes episode, the secret ingredient was children's cough syrup.
13:52No, for real?
13:53Yes.
13:53Wait.
13:54That's the big punchline of it, yes.
13:55The point is, that's why it was purple.
13:57Oh, purple.
13:58Oh, see that makes me actually wish this was purple.
14:00They could have just made this, I mean, get that coating in there.
14:03Yo, yo, yo, dirty Sprite.
14:05I mean, I'm not mad about dry ice in a beverage.
14:08Like, I think it's, I mean, we've sort of-
14:10The presentation was nice.
14:11Yeah.
14:12Again, it makes me happy.
14:13We're here for the experience.
14:14Everything looks cool, and I love that.
14:16If I'm coming to a theme park, I want everything to be fun and immersive,
14:20and I think they nailed it with both of these drinks and both of these donuts.
14:24So what I want to do is stay here and keep drinking and watching The Simpsons,
14:27but what we have to do is run across the street,
14:29because the Bumblebee Man has his own taco truck, and we're going to get something to eat there right now.
14:34Great.
14:34Got the Bumblebee Man's nachos.
14:37I got carnitas on there.
14:38I hope you like it.
14:38Yeah, love it.
14:39Let's dig in first, and then we'll talk nachos.
14:40All right, here we go.
14:44Oh, yeah.
14:47If you like nachos, this one's going to hit the spot.
14:48Mm-hmm.
14:49Generous portion, for sure.
14:50Mm-hmm.
14:50Way of flavor, jalapenos.
14:52Oh, there's some guac over here that I missed.
14:53These are good nachos.
14:54Nothing soggy.
14:55Yeah.
14:56Like, everything is, even if I dig a little and try to find a soggy one, I really can't.
14:58Even on this wet, watery day.
15:00Yeah.
15:00Still very good nachos, very crisp chips.
15:03Mm.
15:04Good choice on the meat.
15:05Carnitas, I think, was the right choice.
15:06Yeah.
15:07So, in case you're wondering, because I know you don't watch much of The Simpsons,
15:09The Bumblebee Man is an iconic character in The Simpsons universe.
15:13He basically is the Spanish language channel's main star.
15:17So many jokes in the early days of them flipping on the Spanish station on accident.
15:21Sure enough, guy in this crazy costume, something wild is happening to him.
15:24It was just like an endless non-sequitur television joke.
15:27And he just became more and more of a character.
15:30He's based on a real television character.
15:32I don't know what it translates to, but a guy who played a character called, I think,
15:35The Golden Grasshopper.
15:37So, the antennas are kind of inspired by this Spanish language character who,
15:42I'm sure, if you're flipping through TV in the 80s and came across the show, sure enough,
15:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
15:47Guy, crazy costume, something weird happening.
15:49I know who you mean that.
15:50His nickname was Little Shakespeare.
15:52Okay.
15:53And then Pedro Chesperito, which is that character.
15:56Chesperito's a play on that, because Shakespeare is sort of like broken English for Chesper,
16:01and then Ito Small.
16:02So, I think everything is very tongue-in-cheek.
16:03Oh, this guy over here.
16:04I mean, I was a theater major, so Shakespeare, thank you very much.
16:08I will say, this is a winning combination.
16:10Yeah.
16:10The duck beer and the nacho.
16:12All right, well, this is delicious.
16:13Where are we off to next?
16:14We are off to the lower area of the park,
16:15so we have a little time to digest as we make our way down to explore.
16:19We're in the mummy land now.
16:20Mummy land.
16:20We're in the lower lot.
16:21We're going to get some corn dogs.
16:23You're ready for some corn dogs?
16:24Yeah, I'm starving.
16:25Yeah, me too.
16:26Mummy eats corn dogs.
16:28We got regular in Korean.
16:29Let's bite first, talk second.
16:31Okay.
16:34That's a very good corn dog.
16:37Yeah.
16:38Especially the Frank seems a bit bigger than it normally is for a corn dog.
16:42Yeah.
16:42This is a good corn dog.
16:43I agree.
16:43Sometimes you have to fight the coating to get to the meat,
16:46and this is the perfect amount of coating without being just too much.
16:51This mummy ride, based on the franchise,
16:53I think it started in 1999 with Brendan Fraser.
16:55Yeah, but there was a mummy before that.
16:57Do you know who played the original mummy?
16:58Yeah, the mummy's been around since the 30s.
17:00The original mummy, Boris Karloff.
17:02Boris Karloff, yeah.
17:02Black and white, wrapped up in the toilet paper.
17:05Yeah.
17:06Very scary back in the day.
17:07People were easily scared back then.
17:09You're a Disney guy.
17:10How does this compare to the other parks corn dogs?
17:12At Disney, the corn part of it is more substantial, which this, I actually like that
17:18like it's just enough, and I'm not like fighting the bread coating to get to the meat.
17:23It's more dog than usually the other way around.
17:26That's a good observation.
17:27Yeah, like this, I'm a ketchup guy.
17:29I have it ready.
17:30I'm not even using it because I just feel like this is a good balance.
17:33It's a savory dog.
17:34They have the Korean one.
17:35I don't know exactly how this, how they did this.
17:37Did you get on how it got made?
17:39Well, I don't want to ruin the surprise.
17:40Oh, it's a surprise in a corn dog?
17:42But when you bite into this.
17:43I don't, no, no, no, no, no.
17:44No, no, no, no.
17:44No, no, no, no, no.
17:46The last time I want to be surprised when I'm biting into a corn dog.
17:48So inside here is going to be some cheese, some meat, and then on the outside we have panko.
17:53Yeah.
17:56Is there cheese in there?
17:57I taste the cheese.
17:58It's sort of like a hot dog instead of a mozzarella stick.
18:00I'm going to just fold mine in half and I'm going to see if we can get some cheese.
18:04Let's see.
18:05There's the cheese.
18:07But does this say Korean to you?
18:09It's Korean style.
18:10In what regard?
18:11The cheese, the meat, the panko on the outside.
18:15Sometimes they do it in Korea.
18:16They'll do like some sugar on the outside sometimes too.
18:18Okay.
18:18But here there's no sugar.
18:19We have the panko.
18:20We have the cheese.
18:21We have the meat.
18:22And to me, this panko, this elevates it to me.
18:25I love the crust of this.
18:27Here's my problem.
18:28When I first bit into it, I'm like, oh, Korean flavors.
18:29No, no, no, no, no, no.
18:30Now you just explained it.
18:31Like now that I know that, yeah, it's very good because it's cheesy.
18:33I like the taste of the crust a little bit better.
18:35Yeah.
18:35It's also much bigger.
18:36It's big.
18:37Yeah.
18:37Yeah.
18:38Surely you have room for one last thing.
18:40I do.
18:41I do.
18:41Well, it's in CityWalk.
18:42So we're going to leave and we're going to go to the only place today
18:45that we're going to grab a bite in CityWalk.
18:46Let's do it.
18:47We are in Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen.
18:52Uh, I love the vibe here.
18:53I think it's very cool.
18:55I love this.
18:55I don't know, like, I don't want to say gothic, but steampunk-esque sort of.
18:58Yeah, exactly.
18:58Steampunk.
18:59Yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:59This is a restaurant, so we're not going to order the restaurant food.
19:02We're going to focus today on two things we would get here as a snack.
19:05So we're going to get the warm chocolate almond bread with the salted caramel butter.
19:09So again, the bread's going to tip savory and then end the day with the milkshake.
19:12So what kind of milkshake do you want to order?
19:14Um, I'll try the confetti one.
19:17Great, and I'm going to go with the mint.
19:18I was not expecting this.
19:20This is a little lot going on here.
19:21Let's take a sip and then talk.
19:22All right.
19:26Oh yeah.
19:29Hell yeah, it's very good.
19:30No, it is just some time.
19:31Ooh, thank you.
19:33I'm going to take a bite of this before we go out of here.
19:39Oh, this is fantastic.
19:41I will say this.
19:42I'm very happy we're ending here because like this feels like a great way to like end
19:47Yeah.
19:48a snack episode.
19:49This is a dessert to me, but man, I have to say I love a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie,
19:54and this is like the Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie in a glass, maybe even like a grasshopper.
20:00Yeah, it's a really thick milkshake.
20:02It's almost like really close to like ice cream.
20:03Yeah.
20:04I got so many sprinkles in there too.
20:06Ah, here comes that ice cream headache I get so easily.
20:08Oh, brain freeze.
20:10Presentation A plus is very good.
20:13Yeah, yeah, yeah.
20:13What do we got here?
20:14Uh, so this is the warm chocolate almond bread with the salted caramel butter.
20:19So again, this is like bread is savory, but then the chocolate and the caramel is going to tip it
20:23a little sweet.
20:24So I'm going to try and rip off a spot.
20:25Rip it off.
20:26The other end.
20:26Yeah, you ready?
20:27Here we go.
20:28There we go.
20:30Oh, it tastes like a kind of chocolate to me.
20:34Like without being a croissant, it has all that like same flavors.
20:38Yeah.
20:39Very good.
20:39And with this salted caramel butter.
20:41Take my money.
20:43Mmm.
20:45Absolutely fantastic.
20:46Oh, yeah.
20:47Oh, wow.
20:48Oh my gosh.
20:49I don't think I've had salted caramel butter.
20:52Holy smokes.
20:53Both look good separately together.
20:54It's like a flavor multiplier.
20:56Yeah.
20:57That is a must to have on that.
20:58It's really delicious.
20:59Ooh.
21:00Right?
21:00One more, one more.
21:01Yeah, get in there.
21:03This is just fantastic.
21:04Okay.
21:04Like A plus.
21:04I love this dessert so much.
21:05I'm not familiar with necessarily chocolate bread, but wow.
21:08Wow.
21:09I think it's so good.
21:10A plus, baby.
21:11Yeah.
21:11Oh, wow.
21:13Wild here.
21:14Oh my gosh.
21:15You are a monster.
21:16Yeah.
21:18Why did we eat so much?
21:19I don't know.
21:20Whose idea was it to do sweet and savory in the same episode?
21:23Huh.
21:24All right.
21:24We both enjoyed most of everything we had today.
21:26If you had to pick one though today that you thought was your favorite snack or the one you'd
21:31recommend the most to people visiting, which one would it be?
21:33For me?
21:34Yeah.
21:34Hands down that super mushroom calzone, that hot pocket.
21:39It looked cool.
21:39I love the look of it.
21:41The taste of it was great.
21:42Yeah.
21:42It's something that like I wouldn't have necessarily thought about as like a theme park snack.
21:46Yeah.
21:46But to me, I think that's my favorite thing that we had all day.
21:49You know, it's tied for me with that one.
21:51And I'll pick the other one.
21:52I thought I was really impressed with the Korean style corn dog, right?
21:55Now it's better than a regular corn dog because like the cheesiness,
21:58I like the flavor of the outer shell a little better than the standard corn meal corn dog.
22:03So yeah, that was a really, that was a really good snack.
22:05I agree that I did like that panko on the outside.
22:08Yeah.
22:08Overall, these snacks were great and we have more Universal Studios Hollywood food to eat.
22:14So get your rest because we're coming back tomorrow.
22:16All right.
