00:00River health is very important to residents in Shropshire. It's very topical at the moment and 7Trent here at its Monkmore Treatment Sewage Works has made a big investment to improve its facilities and make upgrades to its works to improve that river health and make sure that it can cope with the growing population of the county town.
00:20It's improved and installed new cutting edge technology called membrane aerated biofilm reactor. The units are not only to treat more wastewater with the help of expanding the site but also to clean it more effectively. This means the water returned to the river is therefore more clean and the closest state to what is already in it. Let's go have a look at what is around the site and see what goes behind the scenes when you flush your toilet.
