Testing standard PLA settings of the A1 Mini!

Testing the Bambu Lab A1 Mini with a 0.4mm nozzle to see how well it handles extreme horizontal overhangs. This 3D printer test pushes the limits of bridging, cooling, and layer adhesion. Watch how the A1 Mini performs straight out of the boxโ€”no mods, just results!

00:00I printed three test objects on an A1 Mini with standard settings. Three
00:03filaments were used, all PLA, but from different brands. I also printed each one
00:08at 150% scale. Which filament will come out the best? Here you see the 100%
00:15scaled version in Bamboo Studio. I scaled it to 150% to see how text
00:20readability improves. Here's the scale button in Bamboo Studio. Enter a
00:24percentage and press Enter to apply. The object consists of several test areas of
00:31a 3D printer, such as overhang, bridging, stringing, and dimensions.
00:42I used the Bamboo Lab A1 Mini with a standard print plate and a 0.4 millimeter
00:48nozzle. A generic PLA profile was selected with the 0.2 millimeter standard profile.
00:54Let's preview the print.
01:00It almost takes three hours to print the 150% scaled version.
01:11Everything is good to go! This 100% scaled version was printed with Wood Brown
01:16Polyterra PLA from Polymaker. As expected, after 50 degrees of overhang, the quality decreases quickly.
01:24You see the smaller text are not clearly readable. But the overall quality is alright.
01:38Holes were about 0.2 millimeter smaller than the original dimension.
01:42But straight parts came out exactly as they should. Here's the 150% scaled version, also in Wood Brown Polyterra PLA.
01:52Stringing is barely visible. And bridging also looks okay. The overhangs are a little better,
01:59up to 60 to 70 degrees. Also texts are more readable now because spaces that are too small are no longer filled with filament.
02:09It was expected that the overall quality would increase by printing it larger.
02:12The next one was printed with GTEC gradient PLA filament. It's the 150% version and is a bit more glossy than the Polyterra version.
02:24The overhangs are looking very good, up to 70 degrees.
02:26And the longest bridging of 37.5 millimeter drooped a little. The shorter ones look good.
02:45Please subscribe if you like it. Thanks. Here's the bridging of the big Polyterra version.
02:55The bridging quality is very similar to that of GTEC gradient PLA.
03:02Here's the 100% scaled version, also printed in GTEC gradient PLA filament.
03:07Because of the smaller parts, there's more stringing, and text is not clearly readable.
03:11But the dimension quality is similar to the brown one. The third one was printed in yellow sunlue PLA filament.
03:18This one came out the best. On the 100% scaled version, more text was readable than on the other two.
03:26Overhangs up to 70 degrees came out almost perfect, even better than with the gradient PLA.
03:41The 80 degrees part is the only one here that lacks quality.
03:50On the big version, all text was clearly readable.
03:55The bridging quality is also a little better than the others.
04:00Dimensions are similar to the other two. The overall quality of the yellow sunlue PLA version is the best.
04:05Texts were clearer, and the overhangs look better. Not bad for sending it to the printer without tweaking any settings.
