On Wednesday, the U.S. Treasury Department announced a new package of sanctions targeting Iran, affecting dozens of individuals, companies, and vessels connected to an international shipping network. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the package includes more than 115 new sanctions, the broadest since the Trump administration launched its “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran.
