00:00The A477, it's one of the quickest roads in the county and it's also one of the main roads into
00:06Pembrokeshire alongside the A40 and I've been stood on this junction before, you'll have seen
00:10the videos talking about making this junction safe. We've got Red Roses Village just around the
00:16corner here and today I've met with Welsh Government officials, the South Wales Trunk Road
00:21Agency and the Egloose Cumming Community Council to talk about the measures being introduced to
00:26make this junction safe. So we've got new bollards coming to mark the entry point of this junction,
00:31especially important at night. We're going to have Arav slow road markings on red paint on the
00:37carriageway to determine where drivers need to slow down and we're going to have better signage. Now
00:44the jury's out to see whether those three things will make this junction safer but we'll see. It's
00:48good to have some investment here from the Welsh Government making this safe because it's really
00:53important whether it's drivers coming down the hill towards Pembrokeshire and looking to turn in here
00:57and having to slow down to a crawling pace or whether it's drivers looking to get onto the A477
01:03either westbound or eastbound, it's about making sure road users are safe.
