39:59Actually, looking at my scorecard now, I had to fight a draw.
40:04But had the knockdowns been counted that I thought were knockdowns, it would have been Tagami's fight.
40:10And I had Tagami ahead by two points. What about you, Chuck?
40:13I had Tagami, the ninth round is what decided it. I gave Tagami a ten to eight on Benny, and that was the deciding.
40:22It would have been a split, it would have been a draw otherwise.
40:24But that...
40:25So you had Tagami ahead.
40:26By one, you know, but on the ninth round with a ten to eight, that was the deciding thing right there.
40:32And I had Tagami ahead by two, and Don had it even. The judges with a split decision.
40:37And it is a tough place to get a win if you're a Japanese fighter in Las Vegas, not far from Benny's hometown.
40:44There's no doubt about that.
40:45Like, you know, I don't really know how the hometown decisions play, but I fought in everybody's hometown, and I've seen strange things happen before.
40:53You can see Tagami overcome with emotion. He fought a brilliant fight. An outstanding tactical fight. But he lost to the legend, and sometimes the legend gets the benefit of the doubt.
41:07Well, you know, you have to beat them. That's the whole thing, right, Don? When you're the champion, when you're the legend, you have to beat them. They don't have to beat you.
41:14You have to be beaten, that's right.
41:15You have to be beaten, and Benny really wasn't beaten tonight.
