Military commanders from Thailand and Cambodia held talks on Tuesday, agreeing not to deploy more troops along their disputed border after a ceasefire took effect at midnight.

00:00All is calm on the Thailand-Cambodia border on Tuesday, following a ceasefire after five days of deadly fighting.
00:08Military commanders from both sides held talks earlier today and have agreed not to deploy more troops along their disputed border.
00:16Despite the ceasefire, Thailand's army claimed Cambodian troops launched attacks in at least five locations early Tuesday.
00:24It said its forces had retaliated proportionately.
00:27Acting Thai Prime Minister Pumtam Wichayachai, however, downplayed the escalation,
00:32saying he had spoken with Cambodia's defence minister ahead of the talks between their military commanders.
00:38Cambodia also denied the allegations, assisting its troops have strictly abided by the ceasefire since midnight.
00:46The truce was reached before following peace talks chaired by Malaysia in Putrajaya yesterday.
00:51Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said he had spoken to both leaders and instructed his team to restart tariff talks.
