A couple shared the wholesome moment their family members discovered they were welcoming not one child but triplets. Shannon Murdock and her husband, Tyler, from Ontario, Canada, set up the surprises as if they were simply set to show different family members an update on the stage of their pregnancy after breaking the news. After discovering she was pregnant, Shannon, 31, decided to take an early ultrasound at six and a half weeks because of certain health conditions. While in the room, the couple first saw the technician label "A" and "B" on the scans – before then discovering there were, in fact, three individual sacks. It was the strangest and most exciting feeling, Shannon added, as she and Tyler, 32, had not used IVF or had any history of triplets in their family. And so, having wanted those closest to them to feel similar emotions, the couple set up a series of surprises for their closest family members first, before planning to tell others around the 20-week mark. Whether it be their parents or siblings, the approach was similar: an initial casual intrigue at discussing the couple's pregnancy before then seeing babies A, B, and C on the scans. Tyler's mom couldn't help but say, "Are they sure?!" in shock, while his stepdad laughed hysterically. Meanwhile, Shannon's parents' level of surprise only grew when she showed them each baby. When Shannon said, "And here's Baby C's heart rate," her supportive mom replied, "We're moving in!" While her dad thought aloud, "I don't even know people with triplets."
