“Leadership keeps evolving at different phases of project implementation — that’s something I could apply and relate to through RBPM.”

Jitesh, a development practitioner at Udayan Care, always believed leadership was about being assertive and taking charge. But while managing social impact programs, he realized leadership isn’t static — it needs to evolve with the context.

During the RBPM Certificate Program (Cohort 2), he began to see leadership differently. He learned how to adapt his style across different phases of program implementation — from setting direction to listening deeply and co-creating with his team.

He also began connecting the dots between outputs, outcomes, and impact indicators — and understood how even leadership decisions could influence the cost per individual served and long-term impact.

The Results-Based Program Management (RBPM) course helped him move from intention to lead with clarity, purpose, and accountability.
If you, too, want to strengthen your approach to leadership and program design, applications are now open for Cohort 4 — starting September 2025.

00:00My name is Jitesh, I am part of UdyanCare and I did my ISDM-RBPM course cohort 2 which was in the year 2024 and 2025.
00:19There have been many concepts which you know I can integrate into my personal life and work.
00:23So certainly I will pick up some of the topic or content piece which basically the first one is about the leadership.
00:31In terms of like leadership have been a concept which we have been you know sort of integrating into our daily life and workplace on daily basis.
00:39But getting an overview about it and you know trying to integrate that into workplace is something which was very unique and beautifully you know presented by the faculty at ISDM.
00:50At when you are implementing the project there are multiple different domain or the vertical of it.
00:56So one of the thing which I have learned is about whatever is the output or the impact you need to probably balance it out with the budgeting.
01:04Because in project implementation through either CSR or any donor partner grant which makes it essential like for every bit of money spent, penny spent give you a good return for the social impact.
01:16So that means in terms of like we had a couple of outputs wherein you know we have to make them into an impact indicator and then definitely that being linked to the beneficiary cost or the cost per child or per beneficiary is equally important to get the impact done.
01:32We'll see you back then.
