Boeing 737 MAX landing gear catches fire on runway in US, 179 onboard evacuated

An American Airlines Boeing 737 MAX flight bound for Miami experienced a landing gear fire during takeoff at Denver International Airport in the United States. Smoke was seen billowing from the aircraft, which had 173 passengers and six crew members on board. All individuals were evacuated safely via emergency slides. The incident has raised further questions about the safety of Boeing aircraft, following a series of other aviation incidents. According to India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay, "if Incidents are happening with such a frequency then there has to be a thorough review of the manufacturer and the aircraft operator." 00:43american airlines boeing 737 max so another uh incident of boeing 737 max being reported uh there

00:52was some issue with the landing gear left landing gear of the airlines was up in flames as you can

00:57uh these are the visuals of uh that particular aircraft this is being reported from the denver

01:02international airport uh the passengers and the crew were evacuated through emergency slides this

01:08incident is being reported from the denver international airport which is uh in the united

01:12states 173 passengers were on board is what we are learning in fact six crew members were also there

01:20but uh thankfully the crew members and uh the passengers were evacuated as you can see in the

01:26visuals this is how the passengers and the crew members were evacuated from this aircraft in which

01:32landing gear issue uh was reported india today global's pranay opadha is now being uh is now joining

01:39us with more details on this pranay what exactly happened what was the issue with the landing gear

01:44uh there seems to be a malfunction of the landing gear and that the aircraft caught fire uh which

01:51you can make out from the from the visual and that's why the people have to make an emergency

01:55uh you know exit from the aircraft and the thick fume coming from the aircraft uh is quite visible

02:02so uh this is uh this aircraft uh you know this which had to make a uh this uh deboarding of the

02:10deboarding of the uh passengers this clearly means out that there is something uh you know seriously

02:15uh you know seriously wrong with the aircraft and as far as the uh the landing gear is concerned

02:20normally what happens in the uh in the aviation that uh if there is a landing gear with malfunction

02:26uh then you do not take off uh or like you know the the aircraft is not given a fit-to-fly

02:34certificate but there seems to be that uh that this malfunction uh happened and uh detected by the

02:41aircraft by the by the pilot but there seems to be a serious issue here and uh which is which is

02:48being attended now and uh but you will also recall that you know sometime ago uh not not many days ago

02:56rather a week ago uh another flight of a delta air uh also caught fire and uh that that uh the aircraft

03:03had to make an emergency landing in in los angeles so this is this is yet another incident and

03:08recently we had a very uh you know a horrid crash in amirabad and after that there were a series of

03:16incidents uh you know highlighting the aviation sector and like you know the the aviation uh sector

03:22uh accidents so so clearly this uh comes as a very serious issue uh it's it's not about uh one aircraft

03:30also it is uh pertinent to note that this was also a boeing aircraft we uh already saw what happened

03:40in india in amirabad it was a boeing aircraft uh which led to the horrific tragedy but this was also

03:46a boeing aircraft so should there be thorough investigation of what exactly happened

03:50indeed uh people have been asking and there have been complaints about the boeing aircraft and uh you

03:59know this is also a larger question about the aviation sector pressure as well uh because uh these

04:05incidents cannot be overlooked uh and uh if there is there is a malfunction if there is an issue

04:11uh then this has to be taken into account by every uh aircraft carrier uh and if if the landing

04:19air or the the uh the engine has some issue uh because again as you rightly pointed out that this

04:25aircraft involved uh at the denver airport uh was also of of the of boeing company but you also have

04:32to to take it into account that boeing and airbus these are the two biggest aircraft manufacturers and

04:38in in in most of the the aviation you know incidents it's it's largely uh either the involvement of

04:45uh of the boeing aircraft and rather the boeing aircraft is more prevalent and therefore uh the

04:50chances of uh you know of a boeing and aircraft involved is much higher in terms of numbers because

04:56they are the largest manufacturer but having said that uh you know any incident of the aviation sector

05:02cannot be overlooked because it was the passenger safety and uh therefore uh you know if there has

05:08been complaint about the boeing aircraft the every aircraft carrier has carrier uh company or airline

05:15operator has to to uh you know have a thorough look uh and thorough review about these aircraft if

05:22uh there is there is some problem because you know there has been a incident uh regarding the

05:27triple seven series of the uh dream dynamic series of uh of the boeing aircraft and uh and that was also

05:34attended by the boeing company itself so uh you know even the aircraft manufacturers uh do not overlook such

05:41incidents uh but uh if uh these incidents are happening with such a frequency then there has to be a

05:49all right the manufacturers and the uh and the and the aircraft operators need to get involved indeed

05:58pranay being the largest manufacturer also comes with a large responsibility
