00:28You might remember that there was quite a bit of nudity on the HBO series Girls.

00:32But you might also remember that none of that nudity was of Alison Williams.

00:38Williams was relatively unknown when she landed the role of Marnie Michaels on the show.

00:46This is she, may I ask who's calling?

00:47However, when HBO presented her with a nudity waiver,

00:51she didn't hesitate in telling her agents that she wouldn't sign it.

00:54Growing up the child of a famous parent, news anchor Brian Williams,

00:58she knew how what parents do can come back on their kids.

01:02Today, NBC announced Alison Williams will play the role of Peter Pan.

01:06The actress and singer is currently in the cast of Girls on HBO.

01:10I didn't want people showing up to school with old Google images of their naked mom.

01:15Number 19, Mandy Moore.

01:17I had to put the lingerie on top of my clothes.

01:21It wasn't a great moment for me.

01:23Tradition is tradition.

01:25Imagine strolling down the street and knowing the people walking past you had seen you naked.

01:30If the thought makes you uncomfortable, then you have something in common with Mandy Moore.

01:35The This Is Us actress has reiterated her refusal to do nudity for decades now,

01:40talking about how her body is for her personal life, not for public consumption.

01:43While that stance has caused her to turn down and lose out on some roles over the years,

01:53we think her career has done just fine without the on-screen nudity.

01:57Number 18, Ricky Gervais.

01:59Not that he was in the running for Channing Tatum's role in Magic Mike,

02:03but Ricky Gervais has gone on record saying he will never get naked on film.

02:13He has stripped down to his boxer shorts, but for fans hoping to see more, that ain't gonna happen.

02:18Although he has said in interviews that should have seen require full nudity,

02:22he would consider having a body double replace him in said moments.

02:26Not that he thinks that folks are clamoring for a Gervais snood scene.

02:43As he told The Sun years ago,

02:45I don't want to see this body.

02:48Well, I'm sure they want to know a lot of things,

02:49but I don't want my intimate details auctioned off to the highest bidder.

02:53Number 17, Rebel Wilson.

03:02Yes, Rebel Wilson was in the 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby.

03:07And yes, her character gets naked in the movie.

03:09But no, that wasn't her.

03:11Wilson, as she always does, had a no-nudity clause in her contract.

03:16And so that naked body you saw in the film was, as Wilson told Marie Claire,

03:21a larger burlesque dancer from South Africa.

03:29That being said, Wilson did leave the door open to nudity in the future,

03:33saying that it is something she would consider doing for a more serious film.

03:46How about a dance?

03:47That's what I really wanted.

03:48While her ex, Sacha Baron Cohen, seems to love showing off as much of his body as possible,

03:54Isla Fisher is a little more discerning when it comes to taking her clothes off for a movie.

03:58This is why she opted for a body double for the more exposed moments in Wedding Crashers.

04:03She hasn't shied away from lingerie, but full exposure is probably not something you'll see from Fisher,

04:14especially in a comedy.

04:16Fisher once said,

04:17I feel like if you have a female comic character, and then you see her nipples, then she is no longer funny.

04:22She also said that she understood that was wrong, but it was how she felt, at least at the time.

05:23Chris Pratt likes being naked, and as a kid was prone to dropping trow at any time.

05:28Like, even when you were a kid.

05:29I was always getting naked.

05:30I was always getting in trouble for getting naked.

05:32He was known to use nudity in some hilarious pranks on his fellow Parks and Recreation castmates.

05:38But that doesn't mean you're going to see his naked butt or more in the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

05:43I don't even know what that is.

05:44I'm just a junker, man.

05:46I was just checking stuff out.

05:47Nope.

05:48Mr. Pratt is pretty guarded when it comes to showing off his galaxy on camera.

05:53The driving force behind that would appear to be his strong religious faith.

05:56A faith that has led him to say no to nude and sex scenes thus far.

06:01Number 13, Jessica Simpson.

06:03Damn, that's hot.

06:06While some actors will leave open the possibility of doing nudity if the film and the role are right,

06:12Jessica Simpson is not one of them.

06:14Even if she could win an Oscar for it, she doesn't care.

06:17As she told Allure magazine back in 2010, I'm not going to do it.

06:49Anna Kendrick is a great actress and has no problem doing something on screen that feels

07:04So kissing or simulated sex, that's about the character, and Kendrick is totally willing

07:10to do it all to honor what the scene legitimately calls for.

07:13However, when it comes to her body, she only gets one of those.

07:17I can't concentrate on anything you're saying until you cover your job.

07:20Therefore, nudity, as she has pointed out, is more about her, and she has decided that

07:25on-camera nudity isn't for her.

07:27That certainly sounds like pitch-perfect reasoning to us.

07:40The show was called Sex and the City, and there was definitely a lot of sex taking place in

07:45the city in pretty much every episode.

07:52In fact, of the four main actresses, only one never appeared naked on screen.

07:57And yes, that one was Sarah Jessica Parker.

08:00She was in her underwear a lot, more than any other character, in fact.

08:54On the series, many of her castmates have disrobed for various episodes.

08:58There are even some reports and interviews of actors pushing against nudity in certain

09:02scenes.

09:03But through it all, Zendaya's Rue Bennett has been relatively more modest than her co-stars.

09:13There are reports that the actress has a no-nudity clause included in her contract for the show.

09:18If that's the case, then it doesn't seem likely Zendaya will change that policy for

09:22future roles.

09:23Then at some point you make a choice about who you are and what you want.

09:29Number 9, Blake Lively.

09:31Blake Lively has had an incredibly successful acting career that spans both film and television.

09:36So, when's the party?

09:47Saturday.

09:48And you're kind of not invited.

09:52She and her A Simple Favorite co-star, Anna Kendrick, have both opted to not reveal everything

09:57on screen.

09:58My God, you're such a nerd.

10:00Lively's relied on body doubles for a few of the steamy moments in the past.

10:04In a 2012 interview with the Daily Mail, she called nudity in film distracting.

10:09However, she did temporarily change her mind for her role in All I See Is You.

10:13What's the problem, huh?

10:18But since Lively disrobed because she found nudity was integral to the story, it was probably

10:26Number 8, Neal McDonough.

10:28If you re-watch season 5 of Desperate Housewives closely, you'll notice that Neal McDonough's

10:33David Williams won't be spotted kissing his wife.

10:36You're upset and you're tired.

10:39Why don't you take a nice hot shower and I'll make us some lunch.

10:44Prior to his appearance on the show, he made it public that he wouldn't so much as kiss

10:49anyone that wasn't his real-life spouse.

10:52McDonough's strict policy around intimate scenes wasn't an issue until he was cast on

10:56ABC's Scoundrels.

10:57Finally, a show about family values.

11:01That is, if your family values petty crime.

11:07Oh, come on!

11:08When he denied a request to do a sex scene for Scoundrels that might have involved showing

11:12skin as well, he was fired and replaced.

11:15Although his personal policy cost him that role, McDonough's had absolutely no problem

11:20getting cast in TV and film since then.

11:22There is a code of ethics and if you cross that line, I'll do whatever I have to do to

11:26bring you back onto my side.

11:28Number 7, Emma Watson.

11:30Some child actors feel pressured into doing risque roles in order to be taken more seriously.

11:34However, Emma Watson gracefully transitioned from the wizarding world to other serious roles

11:45without stepping out of her comfort zone.

11:47In an interview with the Sunday Times, the actress insisted that she wouldn't do a nude

11:51scene just to shake off her connection to Hermione.

11:54But that didn't stop people from thinking she would.

11:57There was a time where rumors swirled Watson would bear everything while joining the Fifty Shades

12:01franchise.

12:02However, the actress easily shut those scandalous reports down.

12:10The enchanting Watson still doesn't seem to feel the need to change her stance on nudity.

12:19Number 6, Jennifer Garner.

12:22Although Jennifer Garner has had a handful of steamy scenes throughout her career, none of

12:26them have ever seen her bear at all.

12:28You are so beautiful.

12:32While promoting their film, The Invention of Lying, Garner and her co-star, Ricky Gervais,

12:40both expressed their stances on nudity.

12:42How do you know these things?

12:48The notable actress insisted that there was a 0% chance she'd take it off for the camera.

12:53Garner has certainly achieved incredible heights as an actress while keeping her clothes on.

12:57Incidentally, she's had a number of great roles in family-friendly films over the years as

13:03This is a really weird dream.

13:06Garner clearly doesn't need to change what she's doing to keep getting cast in a variety

13:10of roles.

13:11Number 5, Julia Roberts.

13:14Most movie fans know Julia Roberts played a woman with a very adult profession to perfection

13:19in Pretty Woman alongside Richard Gere, but her connection to the role doesn't mean she

13:26has any plans to take off everything in future films.

13:30Despite having had many steamy moments with co-stars in the past, Roberts has never let

13:34the camera see everything.

13:36She's even requested that a mature scene in Duplicity was dialed back in the past.

13:40You clearly have me confused with someone else.

13:43Honestly, we think the actress made her opinion known best in her own words years ago.

13:47In an interview, Roberts said,

13:49To act with my clothes on is a performance.

13:52To act with my clothes off is a documentary.

13:54Is that right?

13:56Yes, that's exactly right.

13:58Number 4, Mila Kunis.

14:00Oh, I will.

14:01Back in 2016, the actress went on record discussing how she had struggled with gender equality in

14:07the film industry.

14:08The open letter mentioned how a producer claimed her career would nosedive if she didn't

14:12take off her clothes for promotional material.

14:14But Kunis stood her ground and didn't do something she wasn't comfortable with.

14:49In an interview with Glamour Magazine, she's quoted as saying,

14:52Getting naked would never elevate the picture.

14:55Ironically, many of Alba's roles seem to take it right to the edge of her boundaries.

15:47Samuel L. Jackson

15:48Long-time Hollywood legend Samuel L. Jackson might have the most unique reason for not

15:53wanting to do a full frontal scene.

15:55While talking about the hateful eight, the subject of nudity came up in conversation.

16:00Jackson was against such scenes because he seemed concerned about measuring up to expectations.

16:05I don't know about all that.

16:06Since we'll try to keep this entry family-friendly, we won't specifically name the part of Jackson's

16:12body he thinks could come up short on camera.

16:17According to him, he thinks that a certain part of him might seem too small because his

16:21own personality is so large.

16:23Jackson implied scenes where you'd see all of him might involve a stunt double.
