00:08On Thursday night Penguins captain Sidney Crosby joined a very elite group by scoring the 1,000th point of his NHL career

00:22He became the fastest active player to reach that milestone and just the 86th in the 100 year history of the NHL

00:30Before today's game at a special locker room ceremony

00:34Penguins players and coaches presented Sid with a gold-flated stick to commemorate this great achievement

00:46And now we invite Penguins captain Sidney Crosby to the Zamboni entrance
