India has successfully tested a new precision missile that can be launched from drones, the ULPGM-V3. 00:00DRDO has successfully tested a powerful missile called UL-PGM V3, marking India's big step in
00:08defense sector. This powerful missile can be launched directly from a drone.
00:13This trial happened at a test range in Karnool, Andhra Pradesh and the results were impressive.
00:19Defense Minister Rajna Singh called it a big achievement and said it shows how ready India
00:26industries are to handle top-level defense tech.
00:42UL-PGM stands for UAV Launched Precision Guided Missile. The version tested now V3 is an extended
00:51range upgrade of this missile. It's a smart missile that locks onto its target and doesn't
00:58need to be guided after launch. This is called fire and fog it. And it works in both day and night,
01:06thanks to a special infrared seeker that helps it find targets clearly.
01:11This missile may look small. It weighs around 12.5 kg, but it packs a serious punch. During the day,
01:24it can reach upto 4 km and 2.5 km at night. It can take down moving vehicles, bunkers or static enemy
01:36positions with high accuracy. It also has multiple warrant options, depending on the kind of target.
01:54UL-PGM V3 is the latest and most advanced version yet. The earlier ones V1 and V2 were more basic,
02:09but V3 goes farther, hits harder and sees better. It's not just about the range.
02:18The guidance system, target tracking and overall performance are all better in V3.
02:24It was also shown at Arrow India 2025 and got a lot of attention.
02:33DRDO developed the missile, but they didn't do it alone. Big companies like Adani and Bharat Dynamics
