00:00I was on my way to lunch and I was about to turn but then I saw this person walking and she was
00:19walking so slowly like so slow that I was thinking like why is she walking it's so hot outside and
00:25so I she passes and I was gonna turn and it's like that split moment where you're I was like
00:29all right I'm just gonna go get lunch but like something in me I'm like no I need to go back
00:32and like let me offer a ride and I've never done that I parked my car I walked to the bus stop and
00:37then I asked her and then in the car it was when she was like why are you taking me and that's when
00:48I was like oh you remind me of my grandma um and when I meant that I what I meant by that is like
00:53if I see any older person I just think of my grandma and I'm like if that was my grandma I want I would
00:57a thousand percent want a stranger to do the same so I posted that like just on a whim and then
01:03overnight it went viral and the next morning people were asking how they could support her
01:07and so I opened a GoFundMe I knew with like even a hundred bucks she'd be so happy um and so I put
01:12the goal of 5k and by the time I went to her house it was already at eight thousand dollars um so in
01:17less than not even 10 hours the goal got overblown I'm the daughter of immigrants so you grow up with
01:25having very little and so there's a lot more gratitude in everything that you do get um so
01:29when my dad got deported I was 17 and then when I was 18 he passed away just three days after my 18th
01:34birthday and the biggest takeaway from that was you know my dad left me these voicemails and he
01:39tells me that he helps a million angels look after me and that he loves me so the thing that's always
01:44stuck to me is like I hope a million angels look after you and I really do think Lillian was an angel
01:49in my life like a living angel um I just think she came at the right time it really was a blessing
01:54it definitely was a sign and I just know it was proof that miracles can happen anywhere
