Steve Bull opens the Unity cafe in Tipton.
Transcript
00:00I'm really impressed by how many people are here, fantastic support from the
00:04community in Tipton. I'm chair of the Groundwork West Midlands Board and I
00:10cannot tell you how excited and how glad we are to have the cafe open as a new
00:15facility in Tipton. It really is a testament to the work that we do in the
00:21community, our presence in Tipton for quite some time but now we've actually
00:25got a shopfront somewhere you can all come, meet, gather, have social
00:31interactions, find out what we do and access services. It really is an ability
00:37for us to move on to all the good things that we do around sustainability, green
00:42jobs, green energy, good sustainable healthy eating and it really follows on
00:48from a lot of the projects that we do around cook well, eat well, gather
00:55together, lots of things. We hope that you enjoy using the cafe, being visitors,
01:01meeting your friends, having good times and I'd like to really say a big thank you
01:06to Andrew and the team for everything that they've done to bring the project to
01:10fruition which has happened incredibly quickly. We signed it off as a board in
01:15September and here we are less than a year later, kitted out with a fantastic
01:19facility. So I'll pass over to Steve, without further ado, to Cuttle River and enjoy.
01:25First of all, it's nice to be back in Tipton by the way, absolutely beautiful, my home-grown
01:31town. Listen, we always say to everybody, I've got the easy job here, cutting this. The
01:37hard job is getting everything up and running and these are absolutely brilliant to get this
01:42up and running. I always say in Tipton, in Walsall, wherever you go, places need picking
01:47up and things like this do the world of good for the air they await you. So listen
01:51to me, respect it and enjoy it, okay? Treat it as though it's like your own, okay? And
01:56that's me coming from Tipton with no carpets, no curtains, no nothing like that. Treat it
02:00like it's your own, okay? And it is now, officially, in the scissors of the blunt. I ain't having that.
02:10Pull it tight, guys. Here we go. I ain't having this, by the way. Change the chair. Now, open! Enjoy it. Enjoy it, okay.
02:28Thank you, thank you.
