A young mother has shared her joy after her baby boy defied the odds and survived a rare brain condition often considered fatal.

Four-month-old Kaden Guidry, from Louisiana, USA, was born with Alobar Holoprosencephaly — a severe disorder where the brain fails to divide into two hemispheres. Despite being told he might not survive birth, Kaden shocked doctors by breathing on his own and continues to thrive.

His mother Demya, 21, said her faith helped her through the pregnancy and chose the name “Kaden” after learning it means “fighter.”

“He came out fighting, proving everyone wrong,” she said.

Now recovering from recent G-tube surgery, Kaden faces future procedures but continues to amaze everyone with his strength and progress.
