00:00After the civil war in Syria, another war in Syria broke out between tribes.
00:05In the eastern Syrian province, war broke out between Arab tribes for money and revenge.
00:12These aren't just family feuds. Some tribes back the Assad regime,
00:17and others support the opposition, or even the US-backed Kurdish forces.
00:23In 2023, because of a tribal leader's death, many dozens of other people also died.
00:29Now, US. Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces are stuck in the middle,
00:36trying to keep peace in a war they never expected.
00:40This is a shocking war for the world, because a past ally has now become a brutal enemy.
