02:40Oh, I've seen it going up field is clear
03:10This is your chance to go find Vitor while I tend to the wounded Shepard
03:27He's probably somewhere in the back of the loading bay
03:40Oh, I've seen it
04:10This is valuable.
04:34Monsters coming back.
04:36Mechs will protect.
04:37Safe from swarms.
04:38Have to hide.
04:39No monsters.
04:41No swarms.
04:42No, no, no, no, no.
04:45Vitor?
04:47No, Vitor.
04:48Not here.
04:49Swarms can't find.
04:50Monsters coming.
04:51Have to hide.
04:52Nobody's gonna hurt you anymore.
04:56I don't think he can hear you, Commander.
05:03Have to hide.
05:04Have to hide.
05:05Mechs will protect.
05:06Swarms coming.
05:07Storm coming.
05:08Storm.
05:09You're human.
05:21Where did you hide?
05:22How come they didn't find you?
05:24Who didn't find us?
05:25The...
05:26The monsters.
05:28The swarms.
05:29They took everyone.
05:31We're not survivors, Vitor.
05:33We just got here.
05:34You don't know.
05:36You didn't see.
05:37But I see everything.
05:38But I see everything.
05:39Looks like security footage.
05:43He must have pieced it together manually.
05:44What the hell is that?
05:46What the hell is that?
05:46What the hell is that?
05:47I see everything.
05:47I see everything.
05:47What the hell is that?
05:49My god.
05:49I think it's a collector.
05:51Is that some kind of alien?
05:54They're a species from somewhere beyond the Omega-4 relay.
05:58Only a few people have ever seen one in person.
06:01They usually work through intermediaries, like slavers or hired mercenaries.
06:05If they're involved with the Reapers somehow, it could explain what happened to the colonies.
06:09Why didn't the collectors take you?
06:38Why didn't the collectors take you?
06:39Swarms didn't find me.
06:41Monsters didn't know I was here.
06:42The collectors aren't known for being careless.
06:46Maybe his envirosuit kept him from showing up on their sensors.
06:49Or they were using technology specifically designed to detect humans.
06:53Only human colonies have been hit.
06:57Tell me more about these swarms.
06:59It's how they find you.
07:01Seeker clouds.
07:02Machines like tiny insects.
07:04They go everywhere.
07:06They find you.
07:07Then they sting you.
07:08Freeze you.
07:08Sounds like miniature probes, maybe.
07:11Find victims, then immobilize them with a stasis field or nerve toxin.
07:17I want to know more about the collectors.
07:19Nobody knows much.
07:21They're so rare a lot of people don't even believe they exist.
07:23More importantly, why are they abducting human colonists?
07:27What are they after?
07:29Maybe the elusive man can figure it out.
07:30What happened next?
07:36The monsters took the people onto the ship, and then they left.
07:40The ship flew away.
07:41But they'll be back from me.
07:42They'll be back from the ship.
07:43No one escapes.
07:44I think that's probably all we're getting out of them, Commander.
07:47We appreciate what you told us.
07:50You were very helpful.
07:51I studied them.
07:52The monsters.
07:53The swarms.
07:54I recorded them with my omni-tool.
07:57Lots of readings.
07:59Electromagnetic.
08:00Dark energy.
08:01We need to get this data to the elusive man.
08:03Grab the quarry and call the shuttle to come pick us up.
08:07What?
08:08Vitor is injured.
08:10He needs treatment, not an interrogation.
08:12We won't hurt him.
08:13We just need to see if he knows anything else.
08:15He'll be returned unharmed.
08:17Your people tried to betray us once already.
08:19If we give him to you, we'll never get the intel we need.
08:22Praza was an idiot, and he and his men paid for it.
08:26You're welcome to take Vitor's omni-tool data, but please, just let me take him.
08:30He's traumatized, and he needs medical care.
08:35Tally will give us the omni-tool data and take him to the flotilla.
08:38Understood, Commander.
08:40Thank you, Shepard.
08:42I'm glad you're still the one giving the orders.
08:44Good luck out there.
08:46If I find anything that can help you, I'll let you know.
08:50We're ready for pickup.
09:00Shepard, good work on Freedom's progress.
09:10The Khorians forwarded their findings from Vitor's debriefing.
09:14No new data, but it's a surprising olive branch, given our history.
09:18You and I have different methods, but I can't argue with your results.
09:22You ever think about playing nice once in a while?
09:24Diplomacy is great when it works, but difficult when everyone already perceives you as a threat.
09:30But more importantly, you confirm the collectors are behind the abductions.
09:35Tell me what you know about these collectors.
09:37They periodically travel to the Terminus systems, looking to gather seemingly unimportant items or specimens, usually in exchange for their technology.
09:47When their transactions are complete, they disappear as quickly as they arrive, back beyond the unmapped Omega-4 relay.
09:54Until now, we've had no evidence of direct aggression by the collectors.
09:58Why is the Omega-4 relay unmapped?
10:00What do we know about it?
10:02Only that no ship passing through it has ever returned.
10:05Our best guess is that the relay reacts differently to collector vessels, allowing them safe passage.
10:11If they can manipulate relays, that's just further evidence of the connection with the Reapers.
10:16Any ideas on why they've shifted their focus to humans?
10:19If they're agents for the Reapers, it could be any number of reasons.
10:23Obviously, humanity played a huge role in Sovereign's destruction.
10:27That might have been enough to draw their attention.
10:30What really concerns me is why they bother abducting the colonists.
10:34Once the humans are paralyzed, why not just kill them?
10:38What are the collectors getting from these deals?
10:40The collectors aren't very forthcoming about their motives.
10:44Generally, they seek out species with rare genetic mutations or abnormalities.
10:49They pay slavers and merc groups exorbitant sums to obtain these specimens, and then they leave.
10:54But they've never targeted a single species before, and the previous sample sizes were in the dozens, not the tens of thousands.
11:05You're holding something back.
11:07How do you know the Reapers are involved?
11:09The patterns are there, buried in the data.
11:12The Consul and the Alliance want to believe the Reaper threat died with Sovereign.
11:16You and I know better.
11:18I won't wait until the Reapers are on the march.
11:20We need to take the fight to them.
11:24If this is a war, I'll need an army.
11:26We're a really good team.
11:28I've already compiled a list of soldiers, scientists, and mercenaries.
11:32You'll get dossiers on the best of them.
11:34Finding them and convincing them to work with you could be challenging, but you're a natural leader.
11:39I'll continue to track the Collectors.
11:41When they make their next appearance, I'll notify you and your team.
11:44Be ready.
11:47Keep your list.
11:48I want people I trust.
11:49The ones who helped me stop Saren and the Geth.
11:52That was two years ago, Commander.
11:54Most of them have moved on, or their allegiances have changed.
11:57Where's Ashley Williams?
11:59She's still with the Alliance.
12:01Promoted, I believe.
12:02Her file is surprisingly well classified.
12:05Where's Erdnont Rex?
12:06He returned to Chichanka.
12:08And he hasn't gone off-world in over a year.
12:11He's trying to unite the Krogan clans.
12:14What about Tali?
12:15She already helped us on Freedom's Progress.
12:17That was unexpected.
12:19I need more intel before I'll commit to that.
12:21Where's Liara Xassoni?
12:23She's on Ilium.
12:25My sources say that she's working for the Shadow Broker.
12:28If so, she can't be trusted.
12:30Where's Garrus Vakari?
12:32The Turian disappeared a few months after you were declared dead.
12:35Even we haven't been able to locate him.
12:38Okay, I get it.
12:39They're not available.
12:41You're a leader, Shepard.
12:42You'll get who you need.
12:44I'm still a Spectre.
12:46Maybe I can get the Council to help us out.
12:48If you think you could convince them, by all means.
12:51Just remember, you've been gone a long time.
12:55Things have changed.
12:56You worry about the Collector's.
12:58I'll make sure my team's ready.
13:02Good.
13:04Two things before you go.
13:06First, head to Omega and find Morden Solus.
13:10He's a brilliant Salarian scientist.
13:12Our intelligence suggests he may know how to counteract the Collector's paralyzing Seeker swarms.
13:18Sounds good.
13:19What else?
13:20I found a pilot I think you might like.
13:23I hear he's one of the best.
13:25Someone you can trust.
13:31Hey, Commander.
13:33Just like old times, huh?
13:34I can't believe it's you, Joker.
13:36Look who's talking.
13:37I saw you get spaced.
13:39Got lucky.
13:40With a lot of strings attached.
13:42How'd you get here?
13:43It all fell apart without you, Commander.
13:45Everything you stirred up, the Council just wanted it gone.
13:48The team was broken up, record sealed, and I was grounded.
13:52The Alliance took away the one thing that mattered to me.
13:54Hell yeah, I joined Severus.
13:55You really trust the elusive man?
13:58Well, I don't trust anyone who makes more than I do.
14:00But they aren't all bad.
14:02Saved your life.
14:03Let me fly.
14:05And there's this.
14:06They only told me last night.
14:36It's good to be home, huh, Commander?
14:42I guess we'll have to give her a name.
14:44I guess we'll have to give her a name.
14:48I guess we'll have to give her a name.
14:49I guess we'll have to give her a name.
14:50All right.
17:01I'm the Normandy's artificial intelligence.
17:04The crew like to refer to me as Edie.
17:09Helms been darn happy when someone takes control of a ship away from them.
17:13Especially Joker.
17:14I do not helm the ship.
17:16Mr. Moreau's talents will not go to waste.
17:18During combat, I operate the electronic warfare and cyber warfare suites.
17:23Beyond that, I cannot interface with the ship's systems.
17:26I observe and offer analysis and advice.
17:29Nothing more.
17:29Now that we've established who's in charge, let's move on to these dossiers.
17:35Final preparations for takeoff are complete, Commander.
17:38When you're ready to go, just pick a destination from the Galaxy map and the CIC and I'll plot a course.
17:42Jacob and I should return to our posts.
17:45Come find us if you have any questions.
18:29What's this area of the ship?
18:49This is the Combat Information Center.
18:51Here, the crew receives sensor data and coordinates gunnery and damage control efforts.
18:56While Normandy is flown from the bridge, during combat, the commanding officer issues orders from the CIC.
19:04Welcome aboard, Commander.
19:06I'm Yeoman Kelly Chambers.
19:08I've been assigned as your administrative assistant.
19:11I'll manage your messages and help you monitor the crew.
19:13And I must say, it's such an honor to work under you, Commander Shepard.
19:18I'm glad to have you on the team, Miss Chambers.
19:20Please, call me Kelly.
19:22Okay, Kelly.
19:22Anything else?
19:26Is there anything I should know?
19:28You received a private message through Cerberus channels.
19:31I believe it's from Admiral Anderson.
19:33You can access it at your private terminal over there.
19:36Joker would like to speak to you on the bridge.
19:38Anything else, Commander?
19:40That'll be all.
19:41I'll be here if you need anything.
19:43Okay.
20:04I'll be here if you need anything.
20:10Let's go.
20:40Can you believe this, Commander? It's my baby! Better than new! It fits me like a glove! And leather seats! Military may set the hardware standard, but on a first-gen frigate, they could care less if the seats breathe. Civilian sector comfort by design.
20:54The reproduction is not intended to be perfect, Mr. Moreau. Seamless improvements were made.
20:59And there's the downside. I liked the Normandy when she was beautiful and quiet. Now she's got this thing I don't want to talk about. It's like ship cancer.
21:07Enjoy it, Joker. If we're stuck here, we might as well let them pamper us.
21:12Uh, does it breach uniform regs if I get that on a cruise shirt? Because this is my favorite, you have no choice, choice ever.
21:19Technically, this is a civilian ship. I'm probably lucky you're still wearing pants.
21:23Yeah, I'll save that for the off-hour cameras. Have an AI watch me 24-7.
21:28I'll save that for the off-hour cameras.
21:29I'll save that for the off-hour cameras.
21:30I'll save that for the off-hour cameras.
