00:08known online as Papa Jake, who has died at the age of 102.

00:13Larson was among the allied troops in D-A-Day who attacked Nazi Germany's forces on the beaches of northern France in 1944.

00:28where he shared stories to commemorate WW2 and his fallen comrades.

00:34Three weeks ago, he co-won an Emmy Award with British-Iranian journalist Christiane Montour

00:44His granddaughter, Michaela Larson, said on TikTok that he died on 17 July but went peacefully
