t rained, it poured but over 80,000 people weathered the weather to show solidarity with the people of Palestine...
Later the sun came out and dried us all off a bit... We are not going away, we stand firm in our support for Palestine

01:00Oh
01:30Oh
03:00Free, free, Palestine.
03:05And in our thousands, in our millions, we are all Palestinians.
03:22We are not going anywhere.
03:27We will remain from our land.
03:33And we will leave our traffic.
03:36We will leave our Gaza.
03:38We will leave our Jerusalem.
03:40We will leave our Jerusalem.
03:42And we will relearn our land.
03:45And no matter what, we will rise. We will rise again. Wounded, yes wounded, but never broken. Never broken.
04:01Our spirits fly higher than the F-35s. Our resolve is unshakable. And to the people of Gaza, a message from you. I tell the people in Gaza, in Palestine, every Palestinian, look at this. Look at the millions of people around the world spending for you.
04:31Stacking with you. Marching with you. Walking with you. Fighting with you. Struggling with you.
04:41Look and remember, I tell my fellow Palestinians, look and remember our mothers in Gaza, you are not alone.
04:51We will not remember. We will not remember until there is justice, until there is accountability, until a free, free Palestine.
05:06We scream Palestine. We scream Palestine.
05:12I want to start by saying thank you.
05:31Thank you for everything you've done week in, week out to keep the focus on Israel's
05:39genocide.
05:40The powers that be would rather that you just shut up.
05:46They'd rather that you just gave up and that's why, that's why they're clamping down on the
05:53right to protest.
05:54But we're not going anywhere, we're not going anywhere until justice is done.
06:04We are witnessing a genocide, live streamed in real time.
06:09War crime after war crime.
06:11None of us will forget the horrors of the last 20 months.
06:15Yet still, most Western governments refuse to act.
06:21They're complicit.
06:23Complicit through the weapons they still supply.
06:27Complicit through the political green light they give Israel.
06:31The hypocrisy is glaring.
06:33The government rightly imposed sanctions on Russia, but next to nothing is done about
06:42Israel.
06:43We will change that.
06:44We will change that.
06:45We will build a global movement for sanctions just as was done against apartheid South Africa.
06:58And already that movement is growing.
07:04You can see it today.
07:06I was proud to attend the launch of the Hague Group of Nations, led by South Africa.
07:12Building a global coalition for sanctions.
07:18As they met again this week, I launched a new bill in Parliament.
07:23A bill for widespread sanctions on Israel.
07:33And this week I brought together 85 MPs and Lords from 9 parties to call on the Foreign Secretary
07:42to impose sanctions.
07:43And that means a full arms embargo on Israel.
07:52A total ban on trade with illegal settlements.
07:57Wider economic sanctions on Israel.
08:01And the suspension of the UK-Israel trade deal until Israel complies with international law.
08:10That's how you stop Israel's war crimes.
08:16And that's what we're going to do.
08:19And those aren't just our demands.
08:22It's what the International Court of Justice requires.
08:25A year ago, today, it ruled that the occupation is illegal and demanded states take action.
08:33So history is on our side.
08:37Justice is on our side.
08:39International law is on our side.
08:42They say the darkest hour comes before the dawn.
08:46And these are very dark hours indeed.
08:48But with everything you are doing, and with what good people around the world are doing,
08:54that dawn will soon come.
08:56We'll secure a free Palestine.
08:57Free, free, free, free, free, free, free, free, free, free, free, free, free, free,
09:11Solidarity.
09:13Thank you very much, Rachel.
09:14They welcomed Netanyahu with a red carpet and applause in Congress.
09:23Why did they do that?
09:25Because she did her job.
09:26Because she documented the genocide.
09:29Because she held up a mirror and they couldn't stand to look at themselves.
09:34But are you going to look away?
09:35We're here today to remind the governments of the world of their legal obligations to prevent and stop this genocide.
09:46Massacring children is not self defense.
09:49Bombing hospitals is not self defense.
09:52Starving two million people is not self defense.
09:56So, friends, comrades, to my black friends, to my Jewish friends, to my queer friends, to my Asian friends,
10:06Can I hear you?
10:11I want to remind you, friends, that solidarity is not a sentiment.
10:15It's a commitment.
10:16It is a choice.
10:17It is a moral obligation to stand with the oppressed, even when it costs you.
10:23So I ask you, are you willing to carry even a fraction of a risk that Palestinians carry every single day?
10:29You know, they can't jail us all.
10:38They cannot silence us all.
10:41So when they come for Francesca, we must all show up.
10:46Show up in the streets.
10:48Show up with legal support.
10:50Show up with your money, your voice, your time.
10:53Because that's how we build pressure.
10:56Real pressure.
10:57That no apartheid state or empire can survive.
11:01Now repeat after me.
11:02I will do.
11:04I will do.
11:05All I can.
11:07All I can.
11:08To make Israel stop killing.
11:10To make Israel stop killing.
11:12Palestinian children.
11:14Palestinian children.
11:15Israel, Israel, you can't hide.
11:18We charge you with genocide.
11:21We charge you with genocide.
11:24Free your mind.
11:25Free Palestine.
11:26Thank you very much.
11:31In all thousands, in all millions.
11:34We are all Palestinians.
11:36In all thousands, in all millions.
11:39We are all Palestinians.
11:42And today, I ask you to raise your voice so loud that they hear us in 10 Downing Street.
11:55Let them hear us.
11:57Let them know you can bomb us.
12:02You can block us.
12:04You can come after our hospitals and our homes.
12:07And even after our voices.
12:09But you will never break us.
12:11So I want you to say it with me.
12:17I want you to say it loud enough for every wall of power to tremble.
12:23We will not stop.
12:24We will not stop.
12:25We will not stop.
12:26We will not be silenced.
12:27We will not be silenced.
12:28We will not be silenced.
12:29We will not be silenced.
12:32They may have taken my access.
12:34But they will never take my voice.
12:36And today, I will raise it for Gaza.
12:38For those still holding on.
12:40And for those who never made it.
12:42Let justice be louder than genocide.
12:47Be free.
12:48In our thousands.
12:49We are all.
12:51Come on.
12:52Come on.
12:53Everything you're doing.
12:54We're gone.
12:55Are we back?
12:56It's an honor to march with you.
12:57And it's an honor to work with you as we work and march towards the law.
13:00We are all.
13:01We are all.
13:02We are all.
13:03We are all.
13:04We are all.
13:05We are all.
13:06We are all.
13:07We are all.
13:08We are all.
13:09We are all.
13:10We are all.
13:11We are all.
13:12We are all.
13:13And we are all.
13:14We are all.
13:15And we are all.
13:16We are all.
13:17To march towards a liberated and free Palestine.
13:18And I'm so very very proud.
13:19So very proud of the movement that we have continued to build together.
13:21A movement of love.
13:22A movement of inclusion.
13:23A movement tomorrow that will see each of us judged.
13:25And lived by the content of our character.
13:26Not the color of our skin.
13:27This movement.
13:29This movement is inclusive.
13:30It is a fight against homophobia.
13:31Islamophobia.
13:32Fur объ t you love.
13:34I am yes, yes.
13:35They're all.
13:36So we care for bon dłanging gwers.
13:39homophobia, Islamophobia, anti-semitism, misogyny, patriarchy, capitalism, it's a movement for us all.
13:48For Islington North, and you will always be the People's Prime Minister, please give a warm welcome to Jeremy Corbyn.
14:09Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, wonderful people, for being here today.
14:18We march because we want to make a difference, because we want to show an alternative.
14:26We could go down the road of the supine acceptance of the government narrative in relation to Palestine,
14:34or the media narrative, which is to report it, but propose nothing about it.
14:40We could just go down the conventional road of saying and doing nothing.
14:46Or, we could do what we're doing here today, and we do every day, and we do all the time,
14:52assert our right to demonstrate, our right to speak.
14:56Our demand to be heard on behalf of those people who are our victims.
15:06The children who are being killed and starved in Gaza.
15:12I can't be the only person in this street here today that finds it hard to look at television coverage
15:20of a child starving to death, with no baby formula and nothing else available,
15:27and the mother looking helplessly on, who can do nothing about it,
15:32and doctors in tears because they haven't got what they need in order to save that beautiful child's life.
15:39Or the hospitals that have been routinely bombed, as we continue to demonstrate,
15:45by the Israeli Defence Force.
15:47Or the Hunger Games, Hunger Games, when desperate people queue for food
15:55at the private sector organised and paid for kitchens,
16:00and then they're shot, dead, as they walk forward to try to get a bowl of food or a bowl of meal
16:09to try and get through the rest of the day.
16:12There is something vile and evil about this.
16:15And yesterday, the bombing of a church, and the killing of doctors, and the killing of journalists,
16:23the killing of all those people that are trying to tell us the truth.
16:28And so, our alternative is one of solidarity and support,
16:33and obviously the demands we continue to make about the ending of the arming of Israel,
16:39and our demand for the recognition of Palestine, and the supply of aid.
16:44We are often minimised and diminished by the British media.
16:50But I tell you what, we are part of a global movement of people who are determined,
16:57just like those 40, 50 years ago, who campaigned against the Vietnam War,
17:02became a global movement, just like those who campaigned against apartheid in South Africa,
17:09became a global movement.
17:11And this week, I was very privileged to go to Bogota in Colombia for the Hague Group conference that was held there.
17:24And I want to say a big thank you to Progressive International for assembling the Hague Group
17:30after the ICJ decision, and after the ICC decisions.
17:36I also want to say a huge thank you, a huge thank you to the Government of Colombia,
17:41President Petro in particular, for the work that he did to ensure that the conference took place,
17:48and the declaration that was signed by a number of nations.
17:53So I want you to all join me in thanking the following countries
17:57for being the first amongst, I hope will be many, who signed a declaration.
18:02So thank you, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cuba, Namibia, Nicaragua,
18:14Bolivia, Colombia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Libya, Amman and Iraq.
18:22That declaration is very clear.
18:28It's a very clear declaration.
18:30They will supply no weapons to Israel.
18:32They will supply no fuel to Israel.
18:35They will not trade with Israel.
18:38They will follow the international law
18:41and recognise the people of Palestine who are being in desperate need.
18:46And so we thank them.
18:48But I say this to anyone listening or watching this,
18:51whatever country you're in, wherever you are in the world,
18:54get on to your Government to join in and sign the Hague Declaration.
19:02And since the British Government blocked the private members' bill
19:07that I put forward, the Gaza Inquiry Bill,
19:09supported by other colleagues in Parliament,
19:12some of whom are here today, including Richard,
19:14we have decided that instead of waiting for the Government
19:18to continue pluking my proposal for an open public inquiry,
19:22we're going to hold our own.
19:28And that inquiry will take place on the 4th and 5th of September.
19:34It'll be in person and online.
19:36And we'll be inviting all those that have taken any action,
19:41have got any views, legal and otherwise,
19:43on all this to take part.
19:45And I want to take this opportunity to also thank
19:48Unite the Union for the decision they made
19:51at their Members' Conference last Friday
19:53to support members who refuse to handle weapons
19:57that are going through Israel.
19:58It's a very, very important and historic sense of solidarity
20:03that we have there.
20:05History will show us
20:07the Palestinian people were disgustingly and disgracefully treated
20:11as they have been historically and now
20:14in the worst times ever of their lives.
20:18Thousands and thousands have perished.
20:20We have stood by with the Palestinian people
20:24and we will always stand by with the Palestinian people.
20:26Those in government, those in the media,
20:31those in law that did nothing when they could have done
20:34and should have done.
20:35They are the ones that history will condemn.
20:39They are the ones that will be seen,
20:41have been marching on the side of the oppressor,
20:44not the oppressed.
20:46So today send the loudest message you can
20:50to the people of Gaza and the West Bank
20:53and those in the refugee camps.
20:55You are not alone.
20:57We are with you.
20:59Freedom from Palestine.
