00:00Yeah, I think obviously the new year was important
00:03I think the beginning of the season came around quite quickly
00:07After the development testing
00:08And we also needed that time to fine tune some smaller areas on the car
00:12But honestly, Sao Paulo, I didn't score points
00:17But I was super quick
00:19I probably should have won the race there
00:20I had a big energy advantage
00:22But then just to start, obviously on the legality side
00:26We made a mistake and didn't manage to convert our pace
00:31So I think Sao Paulo was obviously disappointing
00:34Because you sometimes think
00:35Am I going to miss those 25 points or a podium later on in the season?
00:39But I also think from a pace performance perspective
00:43It was really, really positive for us
00:46And I actually went away from there relatively happy
00:50And obviously it's always nice to have a little bit of time off over Christmas
00:53And then yeah, after that it was just full on
00:56And we went through a really, really strong period
00:59I think obviously when I started with Nissan
01:02I wasn't the number one choice
01:03Back in season five, they'd signed Albon
01:07He obviously then got signed to Red Bull
01:13And went to the Toros, I think it was back then
01:15And I kind of got landed with the seat really last minute
01:18Going into season five
01:19I think for me the biggest thing
01:24Is the team mentality
01:27And I think that passes over even from the Damsy, Damsy era
01:31When obviously I spent a lot of time with Damsy in Formula 2
01:36Then I then moved over to the Formula E team
01:38It was quite a lot of the same people
01:40Ran by the same kind of engineering group
01:44And then you had John Paul Drio who was at the top
01:46And I think he instilled like this really work hard mentality in the team
01:51There was a lot of, you know
01:54Criticism is really well accepted in that team
01:56And I think they really helped me learn and develop on my first stint
02:00Honestly, I think if you speak to both parties
02:04Well, there was actually three parties in the end
02:06And it was a little bit complicated
02:07With the Nissan taking over the team from EDAMS at the time
02:10When I was trying to renew my contract
02:12That was the biggest reason that we ended up separating
02:16And in hindsight
02:17It's a great story
02:20But I don't think anybody really wanted that at the time
02:22And I think we all could have managed that a little bit better
02:25But I just think
02:27Coming back
02:29The top management
02:31Dorian, Tommaso
02:33They knew what I was capable of
02:35They made me feel good about myself
02:37In a time that I was maybe not feeling so good about myself
02:39When I was in Mahindra
02:40They pushed a lot to have me back
02:43Gave me a clear roadmap of where they wanted the team to go
02:46And honestly, they delivered on what they promised me
02:49And I think last year they said
02:50Look, our car's not the best
02:51We know that
02:52We want a year to build
02:54We want you to kind of integrate you with the team
02:57With an ambition to go out in Season 11
02:59And try and win
03:01And so they mapped that out perfectly for me
03:05But I just think
03:05They knew what I was capable of
03:09I knew what they were capable of
03:10Like I said, it was never really meant to go the way it went in the first place
03:14And yeah, I think
03:16Coming back was
03:18It was an easy decision
03:20But it also wasn't easy
03:21Because there were so many new engineers when I came back
03:24That I had to prove myself again
03:27And the first two races were obviously
03:29Far from ideal in terms of performance
03:31But then we got going quickly with the podium
03:34And then pole positions
03:35And we had a great run through Season 10
03:37With the package we had
03:38And then yeah, continued that on through to this year
03:42I haven't thought so much about it
03:44Because I've been so focused on winning the championship
03:46But I think for me the pressure is kind of released now
03:50You know, I've done it
03:51My ambition now is to try and do back-to-back
03:55And then also lead the team in terms of development
03:57Heading into Gen 4
03:58But honestly, I think we've got a great package
04:02I'm in a good place
04:03So for me, like
04:03I've done it now
04:05So there's not that pressure of having to kind of
04:07Break the duct a little bit
04:09So I can go into next year
04:11I think a little bit more relaxed
04:12Knowing that I'm capable of winning
04:14And yeah, I would say that's pretty much it
04:18I mean
04:18Yeah, not too much more to say
04:21My ambition is to stay in Formula
04:23And try and do this many, many more times
04:25And cement myself as one of the best drivers that did it
04:28Completely forgotten
04:29But now you've mentioned it, I remember
04:31I'm quite superstitious on some things
04:36So yes
04:38However, I don't want to put too much pressure on the race in Mexico
04:42Already next year that I have to win it
04:43So yeah, I mean
04:45It's a great start, I guess
04:48And yeah, I guess I'll have to prepare really, really well
04:52Moving into Mexico next year
04:53But yeah, I think a lot of these things
04:55They're nice to kind of think about
04:58But there's so much involved
04:59Into going and winning a championship
05:01From a four-month luck perspective
05:03But I guess this year
05:05I had a lot of good things go my way
05:07And maybe that's a good superstition to have
05:11But there's so much fun
