South Australian Texel breeder takes home both champion and reserve at ASWS

00:00My name is Troy Julian from Manura, South Australia.

00:05I've had a Texel stud called Delora Park, which is a bit of a late tradition with the grandfather's name.

00:14It's Harold backwards, I flipped that around for the stud name.

00:20The red next to me is the champion Texel Red.

00:25He's got exceptional coverage like white ears, 55mm eye muscle with a 9kg carcass, which is exceptional and he stands really well.

00:37He's a Tullamore Park bred ram, which I bought some rams and ewes off of them a couple of years back when I started.

00:46The next ram down is a reserve champion Texel.

00:50He's out of one of the rams I bred from a Tullamore Park Mertex ram.

00:57And there's also a bit of Illawong bloodline in there too.

01:01So, just chasing good carcass and nice features and a ram that can last.

01:08We'll be getting ready for the tullamore puesto of Tommy and Michael.
