00:00Yeah, we don't hold back. I think that is the thing that separates us from, like, I guess the real reality TV.
00:09What's it like, you know, not having Alana at home?
00:12Not having Alana at home sucks.
00:14It's just weird.
00:15Not my gay friend.
00:16You're used to her being down the road, and now she's 23 hours away.
00:20You have to be so proud of her. I mean, are you guys catching yourself calling her asking medical questions quite yet?
00:25There has been a couple of times that, like, I have reached out to, because, like, Alana is going to work with kids and stuff.
00:30So there have been, like, a couple of times, like, my kid will have a rash or, like, their fever won't go down.
00:36So I'll tell Alana, I'll be like, hey, like, instead of running them to the doctor and having to pay all that money, like, what do you think I should do?
00:41And she'll be like, um, I think maybe we should put some appointment on it and maybe try these few things.
00:45And if that doesn't work, I would suggest going and see.
00:47Alana's very thing is I'm not going to school to be a doctor. I'm going to be going to be a nurse.
00:52And I'm like, well, you've dumbed it down for us when I hit my history, so I need you to dumb it down.
00:58What does stuff mean?
01:00Alana, how are you liking that role?
01:03It's definitely hard because I just got done with my prereqs.
01:06I haven't even, like, officially started, like, my actual nursing program yet.
01:10So I don't know too much.
01:11Like, I obviously know the basics, but I don't know.
01:14Mama sometimes asks me some pretty hard things.
01:17And it's always, like, Mama wants to call me and ask me a question.
01:20And I'm like, girl, you're not even pronouncing that right at all.
01:23Like, I'm going to need you to send me a picture because I don't even know what that word means.
01:28No.
01:28What did you guys think about Alana's docuseries?
01:33I think it was really good.
01:34I think the only complaint I have about it is I think that they could have just slowed it down a little bit more.
01:39And just kind of given that opportunity to let the stories play out and things like that, I do feel like it kind of moved a little fast.
01:46But other than that, like, it is Alana's story, and it's part of what she wanted to tell.
01:52And it's her point of view.
01:54So for me, it's kind of like a really big step in, like, growing up and kind of owning your story.
02:00She got to express her story herself, not through somebody else.
02:04Yes, and I never thought that I was going to be so mad about her doing it.
02:08But I was like, no, she done it.
02:10It was her, like I said, again, her point of view.
02:12And I was definitely not mad about it.
02:15Was it hard for you guys to watch?
02:17I think it's very hard to watch it as much as Alana has grown up.
02:22Like, going back and, like, realizing, like, kind of all the s*** I have been through.
02:26And it's like, wow, like, Alana has really matured.
02:29She's really turned out to be, like, a decent person.
02:31It's like seeing how it affected her, because in that point, it's showing how it really affected her and us as a whole.
02:36Is there anything you guys regret putting on TV all these years later?
02:41No, I don't think so.
02:43I think that's what makes our show more relatable is that we don't care.
02:47Yeah, we don't hold back.
02:48I think that is the thing that separates us from, like, I guess the real reality TV.
02:53Now, Mama, you've been very vocal about your feelings about her waiting for Draylon.
02:57Like, do you still feel that way?
03:00It's like I tell all of them.
03:01And, like, I mean, I've told Alana, like, I don't want them to make the right choices.
03:06Like, I don't want them in, like, 20 years or even 10 years to look down the road and say, I regret making that decision.
03:13I regret staying that long.
03:15I wish I would have left.
03:16I wish I would have done this way.
03:17Because, like, that's what happened to me.
03:19And I realized at, like, 42 that a lot of my trauma came from my mom, my relationship with men, my relationship with my own children, and had to deal with that.
03:28And it was like a s*** breach, like, hit me.
03:31And I don't want them to be that way.
03:33And how's Caitlin doing?
03:35She's doing good.
03:36She's going to the eighth grade.
03:38I mean, she's a typical teenager.
03:39I mean, she has, like, little friends.
03:41I mean, she just moved to a new school a few months ago.
03:45And so, like I said, she's going to be 13 at the end of July.
03:48How do you think Anna would feel about this season of Family Crisis?
03:51Like, are there moments where you guys are talking about her and thinking about her?
03:55Oh, yeah.
03:56Definitely.
03:56Always.
03:57I feel like that's every second of my life.
03:59She'll probably be like, okay, this is crazy.
04:02But I'm used to it.
04:03Yeah.
04:03Like, she'll be like, okay, Pongin, why don't you give me that TT before I, like, took my last breath?
04:09Or, you know, something like that.
04:10Like, Pongin, I knew s*** was going on.
04:12Why don't you tell me?
04:13Like, you know, just in same Anna fashion, like, stuff that she would, like, say, like, you know what I'm saying?
04:20Because she does, honestly, show up quite a bit.
04:23Anna shows up and shows.
04:24When she shows up, I mean, she definitely lets us know that she shows up.
04:28How?
04:28Like, are there certain signs that you guys noticed?
04:30Yeah, I mean, like, you know, certain people believe in that and certain people don't.
04:34But, like, you know, the red cardinals flying and yellow butterflies.
04:38And songs.
04:39The song that played at her funeral, that comes on whether we're playing the Alexa or we're playing in the random radio in the car.
04:47Even your own music.
04:47Yeah, even your own music.
04:49It'll just creep in there.
04:50And it's just like, wow, that's crazy.
04:52What are you trying to tell me?
04:54Alana, like, did your documentary coming out, did it affect your relationship with any of your family members?
05:00I don't think so.
05:01I mean, we were all, like, texting while the movie was literally happening.
05:05And, I mean, I did not hear from anybody.
05:08June, was there anything that she brought to light that didn't sit well with you or maybe, like, took you a minute to digest?
05:14Me and Alana watched it first.
05:16And these two wasn't watching.
05:18And they got mad because we were chasing the group chat.
05:20And they're like, y'all are spoiling it.
05:22But, like, most of the stuff that was in the documentary, but a couple things, the woman already seen.
05:28And so, and there was a couple things that, honestly, I had forgot about.
05:32It wasn't nothing that wasn't already out, mainly out there.
05:36There was just a few things.
05:37And, again, it was her point of view.
05:38Like, I think people were wanting me to be mad.
05:41They were wanting me to, like, lash out.
05:44And what would I lash out about?
05:45There's nothing to lash out about.
05:48Like, I think that's what surprised a lot of people.
05:50I know you've been super open about your weight loss journey and that you went off the GLP one.
05:56If you ever needed to go back on it, like, would you?
05:59And what's been your secret to maintaining it?
06:02Like, how have you really adapted that lifestyle?
06:04Honestly, eating stuff that I would not normally eat.
06:07I've went pretty much, like, gluten, plant-based, and, like, dairy-free.
06:12Um, and just try to, like, incorporate that and just incorporate the right food within my diet.
06:18The weight loss shot just doesn't have weight loss benefits.
06:21It has so many more benefits.
06:23And we have discussed I'm going on a very low dose.
06:27But I wouldn't get back on it for weight loss, no.
06:29Got it.
06:29How have you trained your brain to do that, though?
06:31Because that's the hard part.
06:33Yeah, that is the hard part.
06:34Um, I'm a grazer kind of person.
06:37So, for me, like, it just wasn't hard.
06:40Like, I'm one of those people that have to say I need to eat today because, like, I could be one of those people.
06:46And I think that may be because I had the gashy sleep in 2015.
06:49I could go all day without eating as long as I'm drinking.
06:52Okay.
06:53And do you want to lose more or you're just, like, I'm good right now?
06:56I've been maintaining, like, 195 to 200, like, since October.
07:01And I just think my body is, like, I don't want to lose anymore.
07:05I don't.
07:05I'm where I'm at.
07:06June, how proud are you of Alana?
07:08She still is debilicious.
07:10I mean, she can say it all day, but, like, she is very debilicious still.
07:13But I am, like, proud of her, like, doing what she needs to do, buckling down, having to study.
07:18Because, like, I tell a lot of people, college ain't like high school.
07:21They ain't holding your hand.
07:22Like, there's 500 people waiting to get into the same program that she's in.
07:27Is your iconic line work at Smoochie still something that you walk around the house and say?
07:33She says that at her graduation.
07:34She said at her high school graduation.
07:35Yeah, let's see, when she walks, when she walks, when she walks, when she walks, when she walks, when she walks, I say, work at Smoochie!
07:42And I'm like, I will not do it at her college graduation.
07:45What are you guys' favorite iconic lines?
07:47Probably, like, Smoochie, beat a mess, you better recognize.
07:52Probably, like, work at Smoochie, especially, like, if she's walking across that stage.
07:55Yeah, I always send a little work at Smoochie meme.
07:57I'm probably, like, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, or, like, the A Dollar Make Me Holla Honey Boo Boo Child.
