Penn State QB Drew Allar 2026 NFL Draft
Transcript
00:00Quick rant about Drew Allard. Quick rant, Joe. And I've said this before to you. I don't know
00:05if I've said this on a podcast, but I have talked to you about this. I am so tired of the wide
00:10receiver excuse. I'm so tired of it. It is exhausting. He had a top 15 pick at tight end.
00:19He has had two good offensive lines back-to-back years, including a kid that is starting at left
00:24tackle in the NFL, another center that got drafted two years ago, and he's got a left tackle that'll
00:28probably go top 50 if not first round this year. There's no excuse here, not to mention the dynamic
00:34backfield he has. He has two running backs that are going to get drafted in the NFL. And by the way,
00:38did you notice on some of the spring grades that Trey Wallace, who's now down at Ole Miss,
00:42who was his leading wide receiver last year, has draftable grades along the NFL as well?
00:48Maybe, guys, Drew Allard just isn't very good. It might just quite simply be that simple of an
00:57explanation. Big arm, big frame. He's going to get drafted higher than he probably should.
01:02I like the pace he puts on the football. I like moments, but Drew Allard right now is not a very
01:07good quarterback. You are betting purely on traits, and I'm starting to get worried, Joe,
01:11betting on pure traits when I'm talking about a kid that has already started two years.
01:16Like, there's a couple kids on this list I'm like, I can bet. Like Sam Levitt, for instance,
01:19right? Sam Levitt. I will bet on those tools all day. You know why? Because he's a one-year starter
01:24that has legitimate runway, a track of development. Drew Allard's already started two years, man.
01:30He's already started two years, and it hasn't been very good yet. Stop the excuses.
01:35Let's see it tangibly turn into production in 2025.
