00:13be retired after 10 years on air. CBS says in a statement, quote,
00:21This is purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late-night. It is not
00:26related in any way to the show's performance, content, or other matters happening at Paramount.
00:31Paramount Global, the parent company of CBS, is seeking approval from the U.S. Federal
00:36Communications Commission for an $8.4 billion merger with Skydance Media. This month, Paramount
00:43agreed to settle a lawsuit filed by Trump over an interview with Kamala Harris aired in October.
00:50Meantime, a Reuters poll shows President Trump's approval rating on immigration dropped to 41%
00:56in recent weeks, the lowest since he returned to the White House. The same poll showed that 41%
01:02of people also approved of his overall job performance. In an earlier poll, his approval
01:07rating on immigration was slightly higher at 43%. Only 28% of the respondents agreed that, quote,
01:13immigration arrests at places of work are good for the country, while 54% disagreed.
