00:00I ride over 200 mile an hour, three and a half seconds.
00:12Door slammers are cars with doors on them that make monster amount of horsepower.
00:18My car is fast, bad to the bone, always on edge.
00:34In an eighth of a mile, I run over 200 mile an hour, three and a half seconds.
00:40I drive a 2014 Corvette.
00:50The car has a 526 Brad Anderson Engineered motor.
00:56This car makes 3,800 horsepower.
01:04We started racing probably 10, 15 years ago just going to the racetrack on Friday night
01:09to the street car.
01:10That escalated into what we're doing now.
01:13Five, six years ago, we partnered with a man called Gil Mobley
01:18who's been racing small tire racing for the last 10, 15 years.
01:22He was always the man to beat.
01:24And now he's partnered with us and we are the ones to beat on race day.
01:29The car has held multiple records since it's been built back in 2014
01:34and has won multiple races.
01:36I have won a couple Outlaw 10-5 races back when we ran that class.
01:43So far, I've only won one Radio Versa World race.
01:46I was here last year.
01:48I won the Outlaw 10-5 category.
01:50This year, I'm here running Radio Versa World, which is the premier category at this race.
01:55Back when we ran Outlaw 10-5, the car was first to the 80s, first to the 70s, and we were picking up more steam
02:11so they kicked us out of the class.
02:13And we had to start running Radio Versa World.
02:16This is my 2014 Manson Point Belt Corvette.
02:23We have a 5.6 Grad Anderson motor.
02:26That we do most work on ourselves.
02:31But we also have a prior brake set to do any compression on the motor.
02:36On top of it, we have a screw flow application.
02:41So on the inside, we have a Neochance torque converter.
02:46And a TIE drive hooked together to a link of transmission.
02:49That's hooked together to drive shaft.
02:51So a Mark Williams rear, the car is on a 315 drag radial.
03:06I didn't know a whole lot about racing.
03:15I was fortunate to get enough people to help me, teach me along the way, and get me where I needed to be.
03:21And what I can do then is pass that on to my son.
03:25The mistakes I made, the things that I've done wrong, to make him a better driver.
03:29And get there a whole lot quicker than I did.
03:31On 868 again, I've been racing against my father for a long time.
03:35I've been racing against my father for the past two and a half years.
03:38It is very competitive because we both bring out the best in each other.
03:42But no matter at the end of the day, no matter who wins, as long as one of us comes out on top.
