Hi Sean, so you've never really walked any further than maybe to the school to pick up your kids or something
00:05
and then you suddenly do this Hadrian's walk, 84 miles or so?
00:10
Completely, yeah, it's far bigger than I've ever dreamed of doing really
00:13
although I think in the past one day I've always wanted to do something so big
00:18
I feel it's quite important to try and challenge yourself with these sorts of things
00:22
and so I did, I did the walk through the rain and the wind and everything
00:29
it's amazing when you're doing these sorts of things
00:32
I mean, people do them far better than I do
00:35
but in sort of my own nickel world, doing these things you sort of, you get a bit emotional about it
00:42
and you feel the support of everyone that's supported you behind the well wishes
00:45
the people that have donated towards it and everything
00:47
and that was all sort of driving me forwards
00:49
and in my back of my mind was sort of the good will that is going forward to the two charities that I'm supporting
00:57
which is mine in Somerset and the South West Heritage Trust
01:00
and you had to battle the weather, glowing you around a bit
01:03
Yes, yeah, gale force winds, sort of torrential rain and everything
01:07
which again, when you're sort of out in exposed areas is even more
01:11
I guess, well, what would you call it
01:16
even more soul-destroying than it can be when you've got an indoors to run to
01:21
and how easy was it then?
01:25
The walking part I found probably easier than I was expecting
01:28
in some ways, the drive to keep walking got me through a lot of mental barriers
01:34
and I think that was the bit that was the hardest
01:36
is the mental blocks, the difficulties of should I stop, should I not
01:40
it's raining, should I seek shelter and all of these sorts of things
01:44
so really it was a mental battle going through
01:47
Brilliant, brilliant, you've got anything else lined up?
01:50
Well, I'd like to do a few smaller ones
01:52
and then maybe we'll see what comes around the corner maybe next year
01:55
Alright, well, good luck with that, thank you Sean

Thank you
