New Delhi, July 16, 2025 (ANI): On Balasore student's death by self-immolation, Congress leader Shama Mohamed said, "This is a murder by the state of Odisha... When there are rapes in West Bengal, they are protesting all day; and when there is harassment leading to the death of a student, it is the same. It is our duty to question the government of Odisha on how it happened, its opposition doesn't question, who else will?... Those who are involved should be given life imprisonment..."

00:04This is murder by the state of Odisha.

00:08This is what exactly, this girl has complained to the principal of the college,

00:13the college authorities, she has made a police complaint,

00:17she has complained to the chief minister of Odisha,

00:20she has tagged Pratap Saringi, the Lok Sabha member of parliament from there,

00:25everybody, even the national commission of women,

00:28she has complained to, nobody listened to her.

01:10They need to answer.

01:11And on top of that, this girl I've heard is also an ABVP worker.

01:16So if their own don't get justice, who else will get justice?

01:20And her father has clearly said,

01:22nobody heeded to my daughter's cries,

01:25and this is not suicide, this is murder.

01:27Of course, we need answers.

01:30And those who are involved should be given life imprisonment,

01:34should not be let out from them.
