02:44Don't just sit there
02:50Oh!
02:52What are you playing at Jess?
02:54Do you think you're Postman Jess or something?
02:58Come on, let's get moving
03:00What a start to the day
03:04That alarm clock couldn't have gone off
03:06We're over an hour late already
03:16It was past nine o'clock at the post office
03:20I wonder why Pat is so late
03:22Said Mrs Goggins
03:24Anyway
03:25It gives me time to repair this parcel
03:28Is that him?
03:45Oh!

05:16Hello there's Ted. That messy parcel is for him. We'll give it to him before it falls
05:27to bits. Hi Ted, I've got a parcel for you. Ted!
05:43Oh hello Pat. Is that my parcel? It'll be those spare parts I ordered. Whoops, oh no! Dozens of nuts and bolts, cogs and screws rolled away into the grass. Oh dear, I'll never find them all. Not in this long grass. Hold on, I'll give you a hand.
06:13That's one bit, but what about all the others? Bill Thompson had just set out from home on his way to the village when he saw Pat and Ted searching for something in the grass.
06:23Have you lost something? He said. Yes, a lot of nuts and bolts. I've got just the thing for that at home. I'll go and get it. I'll be back in a minute.
06:35We'll still be here, said Ted. What's he on about, said Pat. Search me. Is this one of them? No, looks like a rusty nail. Like this. Rubbish. We're getting nowhere.
06:53I know. Look, the lad's back already. And he's got a magnet with him. Hope it's a good one or it won't be much use.
07:04Have you found much, said Bill? Well, no, not yet. This is really powerful. Picks up anything metal. You have a try.
07:18Oh, thanks. It started to pick up all the metal bits from the grass, as well as Pat's glasses.
07:25Over here, said Ted. I hope they're all there, said Pat. I'll count them, said Ted. Thanks, Pat.
07:46Cheerio. Don't know, Pat. Thanks for your help.
07:55Here's another bit. Thanks, Bill. That magnet came in handy.
08:07What a day, said Pat to Jess. We'll never get through at this rate.
08:13His next stop was Thompson Ground. Alf was busy mending the barn wall.
08:25Morning, Alf. Sorry I'm late.
08:38Got some letters for you.
08:40Just leave them on the table.
08:42Dorothy's away feeding the chickens.
08:45Nothing urgent, is there?
08:47No, just a few bills.
08:51Oops!
08:52Hey, up, what are you doing?
08:53Fine. Sorry, Alf. Hang on.
08:57Hold it steady.
08:58Not that way, the other way.
09:01I said the other way.
09:03Oh!
09:05Ouch.
09:07Oh, my hand.
09:11Oh, it does hurt.
09:13Ah.
09:14Oh, gosh, that's painful.
09:17You all right, Pat?
09:18Oh, dear.
09:20Well, don't move. I'll go and get something for it.
09:22Just then, Mrs. Thompson came back from feeding the chickens.
09:29Dear me, whatever have you been up to, Pat?
09:34Not looking where I was going, I'm afraid.
09:37Walking into ladders.
09:38You mustn't make it a habit.
09:42Now, hold still, and I'll bind it up for you.
09:45But you won't be able to drive today, you know.
09:48You'll have to rest it.
09:52Thanks, but what about all my letters?
09:55Said Pat.
09:55Just then, Sam Waldron drove his mobile shop into the farmyard.
10:09He noticed Pat's bandaged hand.
10:11Hello, what happened to you?
10:13They told him about Pat's accident and that he was unable to drive.
10:17Why don't we put your letters and parcels in my van?
10:21Said Sam.
10:21We can do our rounds together.
10:24Yes, and then the post will get through after all, said Pat.
10:28Thanks, Sam. That's a marvellous idea.
10:31Come on, Jess.
10:32You'll be all right in there.
10:34Thanks, Alf.
10:48That's the lot now.
11:04Bye.
11:11We'd better get Dr Gilbertson to take a look at that wrist, said Sam.
11:16It was their first stop anyway.
11:27Won't be long.
11:34Hello, Pat.
11:42Goodness me, what have you been doing?
11:46It's my wrist.
11:49Come on in.
11:50Let's have a look at it.
11:53Ouch!
11:53Is this where it hurts?
11:55Ouch!
11:57Ah, well, it's not broken.
11:59You'll be all right in a day or two.
12:01I'll just give you something to soothe it.
12:03Yes, you'll soon be able to drive.
12:07Oh, thanks, Doctor.
12:09Cheerio.
12:11Bye.
12:18No need to worry.
12:19Nothing broken.
