Several people have been rescued and one person remains missing after a speedboat capsized in Indonesia, according to reports. At around 11:00 a.m. local time on Monday, July 14, a boat carrying 18 passengers sank after being hit by high waves due to severe weather in the Sipora Strait, off the Mentawai Islands in West Sumatra, ABC News and Indonesian outlet Jakarta Globe reported. The passengers included 10 local government officials, two crew members, three children and four relatives, according to reports. The speedboat had departed the town of Sikakap and was heading to the town of Tuapejat, per ABC News.
