00:01U.S. President Donald Trump and NATO Chief Mark Rütte have announced a deal for the U.S. to send Ukraine weapons through NATO.
00:09They spoke during a visit Rütte made to the White House on Monday.
00:12We've made a deal today where we are going to be sending them weapons and they're going to be paying for them.
00:19The United States will not be having any payment made.
00:24We're not buying it, but we will manufacture it and they're going to be paying for it.
00:28Rütte said Europeans will buy weapons from the U.S. to equip Ukraine, arguing it should cause Russian President Vladimir Putin to reconsider peace negotiations.
00:39Germany, Norway and other European partners have said they're prepared to help pay for some of the weapons systems, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
00:48Trump, meanwhile, threatened to punish Russia with tariffs if a peace deal isn't reached soon.
00:52Rütte will be in Washington on Monday and Tuesday for talks with Trump, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and members of Congress.
01:17The EU's top diplomat Kaya Kalas is set to offer a list of 10 possibilities for the EU to respond to Israel's actions in Gaza during a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels.
01:32Israel's foreign minister doesn't believe they will be implemented.
01:36Sure, not any of them will be adopted by the EU member states.
01:44No justification whatsoever.
01:50And until now they were not adopted and I believe they will not be adopted also tomorrow.
01:55Diplomats told Euronews that member states are unlikely to choose to back any of the options for action for a number of reasons.
02:04First, some countries insist the EU should wait to see the result of an agreement attempting to improve the flow of aid to Gaza.
02:11The EU announced on Thursday that it had negotiated a significant improvement of humanitarian aid access into Gaza,
02:18including an increase of food trucks and an agreement to protect the lives of aid workers.
02:24What's happening on the ground there, mainly with regard to the GHF initiative,
02:31is that Hamas is trying to stop people from getting to get the aid directly because they want to be the mediators of the humanitarian aid.
02:42First of all, it is crucial that this aid will be given to the people.
02:47And secondly, it's also important to disconnect Hamas from the aid.
02:52And this is part of the things that were raised in our dialogue with the EU to develop methods that it will reach the people and not Hamas.
03:04The Gaza Strip is experiencing further deterioration in its already near-collapsed health system.
03:1637 percent of critical medicine and 59 percent of medical supplies have been depleted as a result of the crippling blockade Israel imposed on the enclave.
03:25This has driven many Palestinians to blacken unregulated markets.
03:28The health ministry has urged against purchasing medicine from non-authorized entities,
03:56warning it poses a grave risk on their lives.
03:58These drugs are often stored and sold under unsanitary conditions
04:23and have in the past cause medical emergencies.
04:28At least four people believed to be foreign nationals have died after a plane crash shortly
04:38after take-off from London's South End Airport on Sunday.
04:44The aircraft, a turboprop equipped with medical systems for patient transport, was due to
04:49land to the Netherlands after arriving from Athens.
04:54Just after take-off the plane went down near the runway.
05:00Social media images captured the aftermath with flames and thick black smoke billowing
05:05from the crash site.
05:08London's South End is a small regional airport located about 72km east of the UK capital.
05:15All flights in and out have been cancelled until further notice.
05:19Investigators are now working to determine what caused the fatal crash.
05:23The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
05:35France is celebrating its biggest holiday, Bastille Day with parties and festivals around the country.
05:42The holiday marks the 1789 storming of the Bastille prison, a pivotal moment in the French Revolution.
05:517,000 participants, including troops and armored vehicles, marched along the Champs Elysées in
05:56Paris in an annual military parade, followed by fighter jet flyovers and a drone light show
06:01at the Eiffel Tower.
06:04French President Emmanuel Macron opened the spectacle with a ceremony relighting the eternal flame
06:10beneath the Arc de Triomphe.
06:13This year Indonesia is the guest of honor, with its troops joining the parade and deals for
06:18French military equipment expected.
06:22This year's celebration takes place on the backdrop of heightened geopolitical uncertainty.
06:28On the eve of the holiday, Macron announced 6.5 billion euros in extra French military spending
06:33in the next two years because of new threats ranging from Russia to terrorism and online attacks.
06:45Just two kilometers from the main town of Sikinos in the heart of the Kikladas sits one of the
06:50island's most iconic spots, a cliffside winery with spectacular views of the surrounding islands.
06:57Perched 400 meters above sea level on Sikinos' northwest side, it draws both locals and visitors
07:03who come to sip wine and watch one of the most stunning sunsets in the Aegean.
07:09What started as an effort to revive ancient local grape varieties has blossomed into a small
07:14but effective vineyard.
07:15The Kikladas is the original name of Sikinos.
07:16The Kikladas was in the ancient ancient ancient tales.
07:19After the Kikladas was born here, the Kikladas, the Kikladas, the Kikladas, which was gathered
07:24from Athens to Athens.
07:24The heritage of the Kikladas was made with the Lumia.
07:27They had no hidden noise and found out there was nothing in the Kikladas.
07:30The Kikladas was found in the ancient ancient archaeology.
07:32because of the uncertainty that here is all the time.
07:37And from this area,
07:42to this area, to this country,
07:44to this area,
07:46it was until the 1960-1970.
07:48The people lived here.
07:50They came from the villages,
07:52they fell from the other side,
07:54they fell from the other side,
07:56they fell from the other side
07:58and they fell from the other side.
08:00In 1960-1970,
08:01they fell from all the parts of the world,
08:04from America,
08:05Canada,
08:06Australia and everywhere.
08:07And so,
08:08they fell from the village
08:10and I fell from the village
08:11with the villages that I have before.
08:12There is no need to bring something.
08:14I could have been able
08:16to have all the villages
08:18because there are not only 5 villages
08:20that I have,
08:22there are 15.
08:25The winery officially opened in 2008,
08:28but the vision for the vineyard began years earlier,
08:30when founder,
08:31Giorgos Manalis took a life-changing trip
08:33to Syros with his wife,
08:34Maria.
08:36In a way,
08:37someone can live from the vineyard
08:39while working.
08:40The vineyard and coffee
08:41are not coming together,
08:42no coffee,
08:43the vineyard.
08:44The vineyard is very valuable.
08:46So,
08:47I think,
08:48I think,
08:49that the people
08:50can do it
08:52and take a break
08:53into the village
08:54and take a break
08:55to the village
08:56and take a break
08:57to the village
08:58because they are
08:59a very good organization
09:00and so,
09:01someone can be mad.
09:02And they have
09:03some problems.
09:04So,
09:05I must do
09:06the other
09:07things I must do
09:08and make a little
09:09to let them
09:10get rid of
09:11the wickedness
09:12that they have
09:13and what else.
09:14So,
09:15viticulture on a remote island isn't easy labor is scarce and few are willing to work on land
09:23but despite the challenges the winery thrives powered entirely by renewable energy for the
09:28past seven years making it 100% eco-friendly
09:31in an interview with Euronews Panama's foreign minister Javier Martinez Acha has defended its
09:42security agreement with the United States insisting that it has not given up any
09:47national sovereignty this statement comes in response to past threats by US
09:53President Donald Trump who suggests that the US might retake control of the Panama Canal
10:34in the wake of those threats Panama and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding which
10:40has since allowed the US to conduct a series of military exercises in the region one of the
10:45most contentious issues in recent years has been Panama's inclusion on the EU list of
10:50non-cooperative jurisdictions in tax matters the foreign minister firmly denies that Panama is a tax haven
11:28For Europe, Panama is not only strategically important from an economic standpoint but also plays a crucial role in preventing the circumvention of sanctions by countries such as Russia
