00:01Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has invited the country's Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko to lead the government.

00:08Zelenskyy says it's part of an effort to transform Kyiv's executive branch to significantly upgrade its work.

00:14Sviridenko's appointment is likely to take some time due to bureaucratic procedures and formalities.

00:20For Sviridenko to be appointed premier, Ukraine's current Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal must submit his resignation to Parliament.

00:26Parliament then has to vote to approve his resignation before holding another vote to approve her appointment.
