Solons reiterate need for 'proportional' response after China's sanction vs Tolentino

House members on Monday, July 14, reiterated their call for a "proportional" response from the Philippine government regarding China's sanction on former senator and fierce Beijing critic Francis Tolentino.  Bicol Saro Party-list Rep. Terry Ridon and Manila 3rd district Rep. Joel Chua gave these remarks two days after the local celebration of the ninth anniversary of the Philippines' arbitral case victory on the West Philippine Sea (WPS) issue. 01:05Pero paninindigan pa rin po natin na dapat ho proportional at talaga pong halos katapat yung pong tugon ng Pilipinas

01:21So, ibig sabihin, kailangan din po in the same manner, makapag-impose din po tayo ng travel restrictions, travel sanctions

01:30sa mga Chinese nationals, high-level Chinese nationals, na talaga naman pong nagsaspread ng disinformation,

01:39misinformation sa usapin po ng West Philippine Sea.

01:44Alam po ninyo, siguro hindi ka Pilipino kung hindi ka sasangayon sa panawagan po ng ating House Speaker

01:54at ng mga kasama nating kongresista dito po sa Arbitral Award.
