I have started to build my base at the edge of Stary Sobor, just the seamless erection of the fences is hardly possible, or else I am too clumsy for it.
So far the random gas zone hasn't caught me again, but I'm especially wary of places with military nearby, or in military areas anyway.
Just in case, this is a private PvE server, don't bother finding it. :)
