06:41Il y a rien à faire.
09:40BANG! BANG!
11:01en mon opinion.
11:02Je suis très heureux,
11:04mais évidemment,
11:06il y a beaucoup de harsh reactions,
11:08et beaucoup de booing et de screaming.
11:11Mais je me suis dit,
11:36quand tu as une forte reaction?
11:38Non, au contraire.
11:39C'est comme l'énergie.
11:41C'est comme ça,
11:42c'est comme ça.
11:43Je veux dire ça.
11:44Je suis comme toi.
11:45Je n'ai pas de regrets
11:46à « Only God Forgives ».
11:47Je pense que c'est une masterpiece,
11:48et c'est vrai.
11:49Je n'ai pas de manière très expérative.
11:51C'est très expérative.
11:52Is there a doctor in the house?
11:53We need to get a medic in here.
11:56Is there a doctor around?
11:59When you were mentioning 2001,
12:01it says,
12:02Cain, you forgot to add Drive.
12:04We'll let that slip.
12:05We won't know about Drive
12:07for another 30 years.
12:0930 seconds.
12:10Whether it lives or dies.
12:12I'm talking about films...
12:142001 was made in 1968.
12:17I made this film about 4 years ago.
12:194 years is a zip.
12:21It's not even a blip.
12:23It's not a pimple on the asshole of humanity.
12:27What was funny about talking to Billy Friedkin
12:30was that he had a man who had struggled a lot in Hollywood
12:35and started very successfully at a young age.
12:40And then had gone into Sorceress.
12:43And was still traumatized by that experience after so many years.
12:48And I think that was what was so sad in a way.
12:51That it had such an effect on him.
12:54It's a little bit like Michael Cimino doing Heaven's Gate.
12:57These amazing films,
12:59both Sorceress and Heaven's Gate
13:01are probably their best films,
13:03for some reason get so destroyed
13:06and then they lose sight of themselves
13:09or they lose their confidence
13:11and it affects all the other movies they make afterwards.
13:14And I was like,
13:15I'm never going to be like that
13:16because I'm right, you're wrong.
13:23I mean, I've done two shows.
13:25One with Amazon, one with Netflix.
13:27And I like what I was making, obviously.
13:29But I don't know how much I want to continue.
13:35I may want to take a break and go and make movies again.
13:40I've decided to do more visual arts, you know,
13:44and trying to find other areas of creativity.
13:49But I think it's time to go make a film again.
13:53You said you work on two shows,
13:54but you work on The Famous Five or something.
13:56The Famous Five was a television show
13:59that I just, how do you say,
14:01executive produced or created.
14:03but I had no involvement in it.
14:06Otherwise, I just created the kind of concept and the story
14:09based on these very famous books.
14:11The Famous Five was more
14:12because my kids would read the books
14:14when they were young.
14:15I remember my mother reading me the books.
14:17So it was more like a past history thing
14:20that came up as an opportunity.
14:26Well, I mean, if something is interesting,
14:29you know, why not look at it?
14:30I've had some wonderful meetings in Hollywood,
14:32met wonderful people.
14:34But in the end, I like my freedom.
14:37That's all I really want is just to be free.
14:40When you work in Hollywood, there is a contract.
14:43Some people love that and can work within that.
14:46It's maybe not so much my thing right now,
14:50but who knows?
14:51Maybe next year I'll do a big, you know,
14:54big superhero movie.
14:56That could be fun maybe.
14:58I don't know.
14:59I'm pretty open to anything, but at the same time,
15:02at the end, you should just make what makes you happy.
15:05It's one thing having creative control,
15:07which is easier enough,
15:10but it's where all the money that's invested
15:13puts a burden on you.
15:15Because all that money has to get, you know, recouped.
15:18And then you have to make a certain type of movie.
15:20You don't have the freedom to do whatever you want
15:22because you're a slave to the economics.
15:25If your film costs $200 million or $100 million,
15:29you need to make $300, $400 million to break even.
15:32That already puts a strain on what kind of movie can you make.
15:35And I don't want any conditions on me at all.
15:40You have to be completely free.
15:47I mean, in the beginning,
15:48a lot of people were talking about another drive,
15:51but it was like,
15:52that would be the worst idea I've ever heard of.
15:55So never?
15:56Never.
15:57I've been very lucky to live a fun life.
16:08And it has nothing to do with fame.
16:13You realize very quickly.
16:15It has that I've had opportunities
16:18and I've been able to work with people.
16:21I've met people.
16:22I've spoken with people.
16:24And it's all been a lot of fun.
16:26But I think when I started,
16:28the idea of being seen
16:31was very essential.
16:32The idea of fame.
16:34And fame being an opportunity.
16:36It's like an opportunity.
16:37It's like a stage.
16:38One thing is becoming famous.
16:40The next, what are you going to do with it?
16:42And obviously, it's like anything.
16:44It's an opportunity.
16:46I don't have any love.
16:48You have to work all the time.
16:51I also have to work.
16:53I have to work.
16:54I was...
16:55I...
16:57We're going to be here in Bangkok for six months.
17:00Yang Han is going to make his next film.
17:02And I have said yes to the film process.
17:05It's new to be together with him,
17:07when he's filming.
17:09When he made Drive,
17:11I was home in Denmark with children.
17:13And it took ten months.
17:15And it was just too hard.
17:16It wasn't for each other.
17:20My daily life is,
17:21I have a routine.
17:22I wake up.
17:23I do two hours sports every day.
17:26Then I usually have lunch.
17:28Then I get yelled at by my kids.
17:31I work at night.
17:33And then try not to get to bed too late.
17:38And then Friday comes and it's weekend.
17:41And you try to relax a little more.
17:44And the next day is Monday.
17:46You watch movies?
17:47I used to watch a lot of movies when I was a lot younger.
17:51But now it's just harder and harder.
17:53There's other things that I find interesting.
17:55Like what?
17:56Well, I did my first exhibition that just opened in Tokyo.
18:01And that's been a lot of fun to do that.
18:03A collaboration with Hideo Kojima?
18:05Yeah.
18:06Can you talk about that?
18:07Well, I created an exhibition that opened Friday last week in Tokyo,
18:15where I built this installation between us.
18:19I saw my wife and my daughter in the procession.
18:23Hey, it's me!
18:26Where are you going?
18:32Wait!
18:37Don't live without me!
18:41No!
18:42Don't go!
18:44Please!
18:45Don't go!
18:47And you are in Death Stranding 2.
18:50I am Heart Man and Heart Man is forever in Death Stranding.
18:56I think that don't believe everything you read on the internet.
19:03Okay.
19:04Can you tease us something?
19:05Well, believe everything you read on the internet.
19:07Ah, okay.
Superintendent Black Bear
19:09change the money.
19:13Have you wanted me to princes this one?
19:15Yes!
19:16Yes.
19:17We are going to be able to see a great movie.
19:18Yes.
19:19The show I do this is also wonderful.
19:21Oh, great Kristen!
19:22You are here!
19:23We are here!
19:24That's a great movie, please.
19:25That was a fun song.
19:26That was wonderful how he cans of feel.
19:27I couldn't eat things?
19:28Can you turn out of simple movie?
19:29Okay, going out of single movie.
19:30Thanks for it.
20:01...
