00:01Hey, this isn't water, this is gas.
00:05Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're looking at some of the most shocking Nickelodeon moments
00:10that had to be heavily altered or banned, either from TV or streaming broadcast, in
00:16the United States or internationally.
00:18Expect spoilers ahead.
00:20Let's get on back now.
00:21Okay, but first I gotta say goodbye to someone special.
00:26Number 10.
00:27Don't kiss me brother, Drake and Josh.
00:30It always warms our hearts to see our favorite stepbrothers show affection.
00:34However, there is such a thing as being too affectionate for some countries.
00:38In certain international dubs, any scene featuring characters kissing had to be censored for the broadcast.
00:44Oh, just kiss me.
00:49They were often trimmed out of the episode entirely, presumably because it was feared viewers in
00:55some countries might be uncomfortable watching them.
00:58One kiss in particular where Josh surprises Drake with an appreciative smooch is cut from
01:04several international dubs.
01:06You love me again?
01:07Love ya?
01:11Okay, this is so going on the internet.
01:14Good thing the hug me brother moments remain intact, or we'd be in major trouble.
01:20Hug me brother!
01:21Number 9.
01:24Twistory Pulled From The Air
01:26The Fairly Odd Parents
01:27Desperate to finish his history reports, Timmy wishes George Washington, Thomas Jefferson,
01:32and Benjamin Franklin into the present for an interview.
01:35This ultimately results in a time paradox and the usual magical shenanigans that only our heroes
01:49can fix.
01:50The episode barely aired later on and was pulled from Nickelodeon due to its questionable depictions
01:55of historical figures and reliance on British stereotypes.
01:59In a similar incident, an episode parodying Steve Irwin was pulled from the airwaves following
02:13his death out of respect, although it appears to have been available for streaming.
02:18Number 8.
02:29The Grim Future
02:29Invader Zim
02:31While Invader Zim managed to sneak a lot past the censors, the line seems to have been drawn
02:36when it came to disaster scenes.
02:38For example, in the episode Door to Door, Zim subjects a local family to a horrific version
02:43of the future if they do not buy his candy.
02:46We don't want none of your government candy!
02:48We don't want none of your government candy!
02:50Yes, you do!
02:52The original uncut scene showed New York City in ruins, eerily similar to certain real-life
02:57tragedies.
02:58While the original version can still be seen in some countries, the scene has been heavily
03:02altered in US release to a tamer, though still horrifying version.
03:06We'll buy your candy!
03:08We'll buy your candy!
03:09We'll buy it!
03:10We'll buy your candy!
03:12Just stop this horrifying future from ever happening!
03:14Similarly, one episode had to change the color of a catastrophic explosion from fiery red
03:21to green to avoid paralleling real-world tragedies again.
03:25You'll run for your lives!
03:29Oh, what do you make of that?
03:32Number 7.
03:33Taboo Family Time
03:34The Ren and Stimpy Show
03:35Ren and Stimpy never shied away from taboo subjects, but even they couldn't avoid network
03:42censorship.
03:43Some episodes were banned altogether.
03:45Go with your new friends!
03:48Don't let me hold you back!
03:51One infamous censored example is in the episode The Big Baby Scam, where our titular twosome
03:58impersonates an unsuspecting couple's babies.
04:01Eventually, the boys join their parents and grandpa for a family bath time.
04:05It's time for the family bath!
04:08Oh boy!
04:10Bath time!
04:11While nothing too explicit is shown, the female nudity involved in the scene was enough to
04:16have it removed from the episode entirely.
04:18The episode as a whole was later pulled from the airwaves, at least for a while.
04:23Yep, there's nothing like a hot bath to settle one's digestion.
04:28Number 6.
04:28Copyright Issues Banned an Episode
04:31Chalk Zone
04:31If you're a fan of Chalk Zone, you might notice one episode missing from certain media.
04:37Season 2's The Smooch has Rudy and the gang meeting the Ha Ha Men.
04:41Chalk parodies of the real-life band, the Baha Men.
04:44Wish you're glad to meet you, Ha Ha Men!
04:47Yeah, man!
04:47Yeah, man!
04:49Very cool!
04:50Very cool, baby!
04:51All right!
04:52The episode ends with the gang jamming to the Baha Men's cover of Coconut.
04:56Unfortunately, the song was licensed by Sony Music, and thanks to copyright laws, the episode
05:01was excluded from future DVD and other media releases.
05:05Oh yeah!
05:06Ha Ha Men do this every year!
05:08We come out to get smooched!
05:10We volunteer!
05:11That's what makes us Ha Ha Men!
05:14This could probably have been avoided if they had just made an original song or struck a
05:18deal with Sony.
05:19But instead, we have an episode lost to the ages.
05:23Oh yeah!
05:24It's a ha ha holiday!
05:25Great time!
05:26Number 5.
05:27The Banned Panty Raid.
05:29SpongeBob SquarePants.
05:30Even the network's plucky yellow mascot walked the tightrope with mature humor, including
05:35a TV gag that flew over your head.
05:38Or a risque bikini scene followed by a gruesome car crash?
05:42Come on, SpongeBob!
05:43One episode in particular had to be banned altogether.
05:47Midlife Crustacean.
05:48Near the end of this episode, Mr. Krabs joins SpongeBob and Patrick on a panty raid and
05:54steals a pair of women's undergarments.
05:56The woman turns out to be Krabs' mother, and he's rightfully punished in the end.
06:00Mother?
06:01What are you doing with my bloomers?
06:04Well, I, uh...
06:05Why didn't you tell me this was my mother's house?
06:10Why didn't you ask?
06:11Not wanting the younger audience to be influenced by a poorly aged gag, the episode was pulled,
06:16reminding us that there are some risks even SpongeBob shouldn't take.
06:21You're grounded for the rest of the night.
06:23Yes, mommy.
06:24Number 4.
06:25Aggressive Dental Hygiene.
06:27The Loud House.
06:28While The Loud House is a fairly tame show, there were a few visual gags that never made
06:32it past the animatic phase.
06:34One deleted scene featuring Clyde in disguise was cut for grossly obvious reasons.
06:39I can't watch.
06:40What's happening?
06:42Did he get injured?
06:44Well, he did hurt his back, but it seems unrelated.
06:47Another disturbing animatic shows Lynn getting competitive when brushing her teeth.
06:52She brushes so hard and so fast that her gums start bleeding.
06:56Boom!
06:57I win!
06:57Fortunately for us, this scene was altered in the final product.
07:01Instead of bleeding gums, her aggressive brushing causes a tooth to fall out.
07:05We're not sure if losing a tooth is any better, but at least it's easier to stomach than bleeding
07:10gums.
07:11I can brush faster than you!
07:14Number 3.
07:16Dated Word Choice.
07:17iCarly.
07:18While on a wild goose chase, the iCarly gang confronts a car salesman about a contest his
07:24son made them host.
07:25However, it turns out that he didn't have a son, but two daughters.
07:28You don't have a son?
07:29No!
07:30Well, my oldest daughter, Jessica, she's a little mannish, but I wouldn't say she's...
07:34He describes one of the daughters, Jessica, as mannish and needs to be taken to special
07:39doctors.
07:39Alright, I don't have time for this.
07:41I gotta take my daughter to a special doctor.
07:42While no one thought of it at the time, it's easy to interpret the line as a hateful jab towards
07:47transgender people.
07:49As a result, the joke was removed from modern reruns of the episode and streaming services.
07:53The editing is a little rough, but it's a small price to pay for removing a poorly
07:58aged quote.
07:59We're not here to buy a car.
08:01We can't be...
08:02Would you...
08:03Hey, sir!
08:05Dude, get back here!
08:06Number 2.
08:07The Milking Machine.
08:08Rocco's Modern Life.
08:10While the humor was often ahead of its time, there were also plenty of jokes in Rocco's
08:14modern life that were too mature for the airwaves.
08:16How long you want?
08:18Just till tomorrow.
08:19All night?
08:22Okay!
08:23These range from the infamous deleted hotel scene to the unfortunate berry-picking incident.
08:29In another episode, Rocco and Heffer are on a ranch getaway when Heffer is mistaken for
08:34a dairy cow and hooked up to a milking machine.
08:36While we don't see the actual milking, Heffer's reactions say more than enough to make our jaws
08:41drop.
08:42Near the end, he bids goodbye to the milker, thanking it for the fun times they shared.
08:47The fact that they were allowed to make this joke is staggering, but it later had to be
08:51removed for reruns and streaming services.
08:54Well, I guess this is goodbye.
08:56Just remember, the problems of two people don't amount to a hill of manure in this wacky world,
09:01but at least we'll always have the barn.
09:04Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
09:08Shocking Potty Humor.
09:09Wonder Pets.
09:10Too Much Potty Humor for Nick Jr.
09:13Everybody's gotta go sometime.
09:16Dogs do it.
09:18Flogs do it.
09:20The Pet Cemetery.
09:21The Loud House.
09:22A deleted animatic gives us a grim look at the Loud family's history with pets.
09:27Oh, Cliff!
09:28Who's Daddy's Big Boy?
09:30Who's Daddy's Big...
09:31Invader Scooge's Survival Tactics.
09:36Invader Zim.
09:37Scooge almost had to eat his own skin.
09:39Too gross, even for this show.
09:41I thought the almighty tallest killed you.
09:44Yeah, but I'm okay now.
09:46They seem to promote me if I pass the evaluation.
09:48Ha!
09:49Foolish, gullible scooge.
09:51An Intolerant Outburst.
09:53I, Carly.
09:54Spencer makes an offensive outburst that's later cut from the episode.
09:57What happened?
09:59I heard Jamaicans.
10:00Mental Health Prejudice.
10:14I, Carly.
10:14This episode was pulled for its unflattering portrayal of mental health.
10:18Caleb, the TV's not on.
10:23Before we continue, be sure to subscribe to our channel and ring the bell to get notified
10:27about our latest videos.
10:29You have the option to be notified for occasional videos or all of them.
10:33If you're on your phone, make sure you go into your settings and switch on notifications.
10:37Number 1.
10:40Grim Imagery.
10:41The Ren and Stimpy Show.
10:42Even though the humor was often obscene enough, Ren and Stimpy could not resist pushing the
10:47envelope with graphic imagery.
10:49I can't take another step!
10:51What's on for?
10:54Whether they were eaten alive, violently attacked a man, or scalped someone, they did it all and
11:00faced the consequences.
11:01Arguably, the most unsettling offender was It's a Dog's Life.
11:05It's a disturbing trip from beginning to end, from the murderous implications and gruesome
11:10imagery to the unsettling ending where Ren and Stimpy are turned into stuffed, lifeless statues.
11:16We gotta get out of here!
11:18Escape!
11:19While our twosome had gotten away with plenty before, this episode was too much for the
11:24network to take and was swiftly banned from the airwaves.
11:27I will that they join me in the eternal salvation of the hereafter.
11:34The fact that it was allowed on Paramount Plus is a miracle.
11:37Did we miss a particularly offensive scene?
11:40Let us know in the comments.
11:41Spaghetti!
11:44And goodnight!
11:46The next time.
11:58The Disneyland.
11:59Have a nice little day.
11:59Let us know in the end.
12:00Okay, thanks guys after you.
12:00All, Outs.
12:01Based on the entire world.
12:01후 Movie крут, sweet hits.
12:02all, okay.
12:02The Adult Wind.
12:03Have a great descoborn.
12:04Cool prove yourself to your mind with noенд.
12:04You think all the doctors ask constantly, too.
12:05Get慰ed of us!
12:05Oh, Mall loi.
12:06I think you've asked.
12:07All in the nik.
12:08I can't uncle.
12:08To be done.
12:08I think it's one of all the things that you can do for us.
12:09And I won.
12:10Just welcome дов a conversation that I'm from the leader.
12:11Who wants?
12:11I'm so lonely.
12:11I've been, you!
12:12Too he's not dealing with him.
